It's difficult for a speedster character to be bad. I mean, their whole thing is that they're superfast and difficult to dodge and block, them being slow would be dumb.

I was so pumped when I saw this pip up. Honestly, I stumbled on these last year, and even though I haven't played Mortal combat since MK 3 when I was a kid (maybe a couple tines here and there since) I found them super interesting. I subscribe and watch all your competitive histories many times. And only recently did I finally decided to buy mk 11 and I'm getting into it. So yes, worth the wait! And keep up the good work.
Could you do a video on broken created characters you can make in Armageddon, basically just show some of the most broken custom move lists a character could have
In MKU3 if you time it correctly, you can teleport as the cloud is ending into another cloud, which basically disables the opponent for the entire round. The only way to avoid the teleport while you're disabled by the cloud is to jump forward.
I'm not an MK player but I really like Noob's style. MK (2011) is my favourite, both for his looks and for the "ink" he splashes. I was happy when he returned in MK11 but his "ink" is different there, not as cool as 2011.

I was always NS when my brother and i played MK on n64 and sega genesis. Any competitive game we played, we dould only play for like 30 mins before we started to get too serious and physical (he is 2.5 years older too)

I love these videos so much they always hold your hand through the analysis and they’re not filled with bad jokes or shameful self-promotions. They also talk about the rarely mentioned 3D era. Please do Kitana! She’s been in so many games, some of which (MK Tournament Edition, Shaolin Monks) I don’t even think a tier list exists online. Would really love to see her analyzed just as your previous characters were!
I like Mortal Kombat Armageddon because it was the only one where you're able to create your own Mortal Kombat character and play with it and do go-kart races
Ahhhh….my overall favorite character, in the newer games. Not just his fighting style & moves. But, just the CHARACTER & power set. His story arc, where his powers come from, how he goes in to the entire world-building, and so on. Love his newer MKX & MK11 design(s). So badass

The UMK3 [SNES] / MK Trilogy [PSX] version was my jam back then and nutty AF to play back in '97. That character was the benchmark definition of highway robbery. The only character back then, aside from Rain, that had damage on that kind of a scale, was probably Human Smoke, due to his teleport-reset combo (which wasn't always easy to pull off, but certainly do-able in the arcade version of UMK3).

He was my favorite in mortal Kombat deception. I remember I figured out a way to perform like a 9 hit combo or something it was crazy. I hated fighting against him as well one of my friends was crazy good with him even in a mirror match.
Why did the ghost ball got nerfed sooo much. To just be average fireball. If there was high, low and air version of the ball it would be so much better. But what i miss is the disabler effect the most.
my friends hated playing with me back then because they know i will be spamming this guy whenever i get to play. the annoyance on their faces entertains me more than the game itself. good times.
"Mk9 Setup was a knowledge trap" Yeah it sure was haha, I used to bully everyone with that setup when I found it in practice. I also tested if it was possible to escape and was disappointed it was easy, but my friends sure didnt know
Ermac is usually my favourite when he's in a game. I know he's probably easier to play, but I just really like his moves. I think the first game with him was that 3D N64 one as well which was great IMO. I loved it as a kid anyway. I'd played the first 3 games at arcade though, so I was a total fanboy and would have loved anything they put out at that point.
Its crazy to think how much of Mortal Kombat that made it what it is today was stuff Tobias actually hated/didn't want. As mean as it is to say i think it was a good thing he left after a point can you imagine some of the stuff we wouldnt have today?

Honestly, the early years covarage was so detailed, I was genuinly surprise there was no mention to Tournoment Edition.
The TE was mainly a bonus thing for sektor. Unless it's sareena it's really not needed for most.
