GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!
I've seen the comments about not spraying things through the paint gun we will be next video this was simply a mix video sorry for any confusion. Thanks for watching everyone see you on the next episode!!!!!
yea, the effect should be different sprayed , more uniform flake dispersal... for tests like this I would suggest using an air brush with an open cup for testing color mixes and flake/pearls ratio
I'm surprised at how hard it was to find someone who showed what mixing black and silver paint looks like. Thanks for showing this, it gives me enough to start my own mixing trials. I think more black and less silver is going to be the way I want to go.
Thanks for the free education ole buddy !!!
I want to see the blue metallic mixed with hunter green or the brighter green.
Like he silver pearl
Cool vid. Nice to see a vid where we're along for the ride!
The hot setup for a metallic grey is 3 silver Rust-Oleum 2 parts oil base black gloss looks amazing
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Great info . I’ve made charcoal gray with black n silver, and added big green flake. It turned out really cool
That green tho so pretty
I make my own silver metallic a lot for ground coats under kandy paint. By using base clear and small and medium size metallics
That was the video i was after, black with copper pearl, and black with red pearl, black with copper takes the win for me.
That's awesome thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much
Thank you for sharing cool 👍😎
looks awsome
Can you do a video with smoke grey rusto base and black metal pearl top coat?
Maybe if you spray the color shift it would present better but I see what you mean tho
Thanks for your info!
What type of metallic can you use for a dark blue
Really any blue pearl into black will work just pick a tone you like just start off light on the pigment because the more you put in the black the more blue dominates the mix and gets lighter hope this helps
What brand or kind of solid pearl to mix in rustoleum enamel? Searched google and came up with lots of different answers. Wasn’t sure what I actually need to buy.
Brand doesn't really matter it's all mica powder just depends on what colors your wanting to mix I'm an affiliate with eyeCandy pigments if you wanna check them out you can use my discount code WAWCANDY if you want they are very popular you can also do microflake as well for a little more pop thanks for watching
Black with the white pearl looks most natural to me
I want to paint Hunter green on my jeep but want to add a metallic look. What should I use?
I usually suggest matching up colors to what your going for but you can always add silver flake to any color for a simple metallic effect thanks for watching!
So I would use a silver pearl
@@jerrybeauchamp2311 Yes or a silver metal flake either one mixed in the paint would give you a metallic version of that color thanks for watching
Cool vid, nice to see how they each work. I've been curious about how the black and silver would work together. I guess the silver is what Rustoleum calls aluminum. I had thought that maybe black could be added to the silver to get to a charcoal or a dark silver color and your vid answered that, thanks.
Rustoleum has a color in spray can I would like to they to make for my dodge truck, the truck has a metallic gold on it, they call it medium metallic sand and Rustoleum has a Metallic Champagne Bronze that is close but just a shade or 2 darker and I like better but it is close enough I wouldn't have to do the door jambs. I need to figure out how to get to that.
If youre really stuck on that particular color then you can use spray cans and clear over it or try some custom mixing to see if you get something you like similar to it or you could just get it in automotive thanks for watching
I might paint a piece of scrap with the spray can and take that to get R&R(auto paint store) to scan it and match it. The truck is 2 tone so 2 quarts would be more than enough but I like the idea of mixing your own, that's why I like you channel if teaches that stuff. Thanks.
Nice videos, very informative. I’m thinking of painting my 1966 mustang in white with maybe some pearls added. Can you recommend a budget primer?
Personally I use a bunch of Nason products since I work at a Napa store but Upol is great as well thanks for watching
good job
Would orange Pearl look ok over orange??
Yes it would blend and look more of a standard orange metallic color
Similar future "experimental mixes" with a testors or equal "hobby" level airbrush might make it fun and a better example of a large scale possibility.. just a thought, not a big of equiptment OR investment like they were back in the day lol airbrushrs
Appreciate the suggestion and thanks for watching
Pouring it on is different than spraying.
Yes sir I have a lot of beginner painters that watch my channel so this video was just to give everyone new ideas to make their paint job stand out and answer questions I was asked in previous videos thanks for watching
