Hi, great videos. Here’s an idea for one of your videos. I’m planning to paint my old pickup truck Rustoleum red and was thinking of doing some ghost stripes. Should I do the stripes with the base coat by varying the color to a darker shade or spray a red pearl on the stripes and then cover everything with the 2K with some subdued pearl? Thanks in advance.

When it thined and sprayed is it still soft and easy for mark up?

The color looked great and it seemed like the tent did a great job. Keeping dirt out of the paint.

Looks great. Do you know if oil based paint has any chemical adhesive properties or is it just a mechanical bond?

Not too crazy about the white, give it a 3 but as far as the grays I give them a 5. I do like the fact that you’re using the white though. The tent is kinda cool for small projects

Everything has doubled. Since that viral bug thing from China.

I have used this paint before on automotive applications. Follow the directions, thin it, strain it and spray several coats. Once cured, color sand, buff and polish and it will look beautiful and last many years.

You didnt use the hardener for the rusto? And why not?

I've been painting motorcycles out of a rattle can for over 40 years, I appreciate the "use what you got" attitude! The only ones who complain are the anal retentives and those who are too afraid of failing in the DIY department.

I spent less than $200 on both my vehicles using Rustoleum industrial Black and Rustoleum farm white. Really hoping they last a long time. Maaco was trying to charge me over $1000 jist to paint my bumper and hood. (Sprayed both cars out the rattle can)

This is nice but I wish someone would paint my truck and do a good job for 5k but shops in southern Utah want 15 k +

So, after you spray 2-3 coats of the Zen clear, do you do multiple coats of straight clear for the cut & buff? Thanks.

Solid 5, great results from spray bombs, better than many shop jobs I've seen!

So 30grams of zen garden should paint my full size truck. Appreciate you doing my colors. Dark Gray and white are my original colors. Along with that pearl may be just the look I'm going for. Not too flashy but has flash paint job. Thanks

So you mean automotive guys that make a ton of money off selling paint are pushing automotive paint? Really? Of course they are! I have painted several vehicles using Rustoleum as the base coat and SpeedoKote as the clear coat and they turned out perfect!!

The spray out looks great, gotta give it a 5, especially over the charcoal gray. That tent would really come in handy.

Suggestion... Stop using the yellow lights to show us the final results. It throws the color waaaay off. As far as the pearls not popping over white... Don't show us over white and over dark on the same panel. Over white will always have a subtle effect and that's a desirable look. The white pop-up tent made for a great background while you were painting. Looks real nice on camera.

Tried to switch it up and do something a little more subtle but at the same time it really stands out when the light hits it as always the video doesn't really do it justice thanks for watching today guys!

Could be me, and probably is, but I feel like this one is more obvious that it's "added on" instead of "mixed in" if that makes any sense at all. I guess it looks like a film that could be peeled off. Certain angles it looks good, but it's probably not something I would use, at least not in this manner.

That tent might come in handy for some air brush projects, small parts etc. The Zen garden is subtle, give it a 3 across the board. Cheers! 😎👍🌟🌟🌟

I picked up probably 50 gallons of a variety of 50 year old paint like Centari for free from a defunct paint shop. I started using it for painting farm implements but that was 5 years ago and it’s holding up really well. I use a generic parts store hardener and absolutely no problems at all!!

I don't know about the rest of the country but the public can't even buy rustoleum or any oil paint or real acetone in N.Y. anymore because our governor doesn't like the smell

I've always used Nason base/clear kits for newer cars when doing a full repaint and Dupont Chromabase for repairs because the match is good. For older stuff, I've always used Nason Ful-Crl acrylic enamel. I haven't bought any in a while, I heard prices went wayyyy up. Good thing I got plenty of colors and clear on the shelf. The last kit I bought was 1 gallon of Nason base/clear GM emerald green and 1 gallon of clear, it cost 300. I wonder how much that would be now
