Wow!! This came out good!! 🔥🔥 the grey was really cool in itself.. as always, the black was nice.. but, that grey was surprisingly good! The blue look really good as well. I give all 3 a 5! 🔥🔥
5 for the blue 5 for the grey. Geisha Doll is a beautiful pigment I’ve done some of my model cars with the black base and they look awesome. I’m going to have to do the blue base next!!
Love the color over the black. Wouldn't mind seeing the adzuki iro red over black or the murasaki violet over black. Their website doesn't have any painted speed shapes with it.
Over gloss black is stunning. I can see why you gave it the video time. The other two not so much... 4.5 on the gloss black 2.0 for the other two. The Finish 1 is definitely doing better than the previous clear coat for spraying on the flake nice and flat. I'm curious if a "high end" clear is visibly better than a "mid tier" clear (My guess is that the higher end will cure harder and provide better UV protection but provide same initial visual results although I could be completely wrong - save this till you get 4k sorted).

Blue 5 Black 5 Gray 5 My favorite Rust-Oleum color is Apple RED. If you can swing it Geisha Doll over Apple RED is something I'd really like to see. What do you think about a series where the base is in the same color pallet as the color shift is. Greatly appreciated thank you.
Yeah I mean the thing with color shifts is it's hard to get them in the same general base and even when you do it really just depends on if they are solid pearls or white particle pearls that makes all the difference I do it mainly because it showcases various colors over certain bases so you can get a better idea even if you decide not to go with a color shift but I plan on doing many more solid combinations just kind of going through the sets but if there's a particular combination anyone wants to see I always am open to suggestions I'll see if I can do that apple red and another color over Geisha doll soon Thanks for watching
Is there a pearl that might give a light gold or tan when sprayed over black? I have a black Tahoe with tan interior and would like to tie interior and exterior colors in a way other than a pin stripe.
25g should be enough to do a small car but I typically recommend 50g to a gallon but just depends on if your going for full coverage or just an effect thanks for watching

Not at all I can definitely take constructive criticism and everybody else said the same thing so it's all good but yes that clear lays out really well especially since it's a high solids and the humidity and heat have gone down around here which is why I had such a hard time with the Camaro that day was brutal but stuff happens new paint job build coming soon so stay tuned thanks for watching

Over the blue makes a nice purple. Over the black it gets really deep. Nice. Good job John.

I think most people will prefer the dark base for the dramatic effect but I prefer the light base for the subtly ❤

Do they offer the 2X colors in gallon cans? I am having no luck finding them.
The gallon colors they offer are very basic but you can mix multiple ones together to get certain colors Thanks for watching

That's the advantage of using pearls you don't have the texture like you do with metal flake

Pearl was in the whole thing but you can do a couple coats without it to seal everything if you wanna go back later to cut and buff it
