@@Surfing_Pikachu Right? As much as I miss the old campaigns and stuff, it’s nothing to hype about. The best way for them to reimplement it is just throwing it back into the game on a random weekly reset, mentioning it in the TWAB saying “yeah it’s back, our bad.” And move the fuck on.
They should leave the sol system aswell as fix their mistake that should just be thrown in
You know they cant do this or the download size for d2 would double thats why they removed it in the first place we will most likely never see any old content again 😢
@@deity2930 Selective Downloads are in tons of games, MCC and CoD come to mind. Just let the player choose what they want to have installed.

Good idea, i still think we are going beyond the sol system, maybe taking back Torabotal or chasing erimis back to Riis
I do believe Riis is completely destroyed, but I do like the ideas
Rebuilding Torobatl with caital against xivu’s forces and restoring Riis with mithrax and eramis on our side would be sick
I think riis either got the cadia treatment or is uninhabitable, unless the traveler goes there for some reason and fixes it, maby brings a few fallen lightbarers?

Frontiers being recycled content would fall in line with the "Good Expansion, Bad Expansion" cycle and would be a bullet to the skull for Destiny.
In all fairness, frontiers hasn't actually been confirmed as a DLC
@@jollax Yeah I know it's technically not yet or anything, but really that only furthers my point. If we go a year and get nothing new? The next "expansion" level event is just recycled stuff? People will riot.
@YoungProfessorUtonium well to be fair, id rather we switch to either a 1.5 or 2 year break between expansions. More time for bungie to work on the next expansion or future content the better. Imagine if TFS didn't have the dread or prismatic. Those only happened thanks to having more time
@@jollax That needs to be something they are crystal clear with the community on. Destiny already goes through hella content droughts. I'm not complaining about potential growth. The initial issue was this new stuff theoretically being reused content.
As long as it's a free update and I get the content I paid for back, I'll be happy.

We have a act coming up with the dreadnaught and we have captain or sailer like armor, I think we might go outwards after fikral
Fikrul got mentioned when they were talking about episode 2. I’d say we’re probably gonna use the dreadnaught for other out of our solar system things
I think Frontiers is gonna be what Saint said his dream with Osiris is. Now that the Witness is gone, what else is out there? How far out can we go? Humanity still hasn't left Sol, maybe its time that changed.

I personally feel like episode 3 will end with the promise of using the light to restore what has been taken. Then I hope Frontiers will bring back all old locations and campaigns (probably not old seasons sadly). Then hopefully there’s some animated or live action short films or just a whole series in the destiny universe following either a new guardian or some existing character go through the universe in the dreadnought and finding new races.
Frontiers is usually a big thing in the whole space science scene, usually being a reference to pushing outer limits. This could mean exploring previously heard of locations such as Riis or the origin system of the precursors.

Pretty sure the whole concept of Frontiers is us leaving Sol, hence the name “Frontiers” which usually goes hand in hand with exploration i.e New Frontiers.
Not to mention Saint’s cutscene about wanting to leave Sol with Osiris and a bunch of ships. Also it’s 2025 release date sounds like it’s gonna be TFS sized with it getting a whole year announcement prior to release, and being named as an expansion and NOT D3.

I'm a betting man and I'd bet good money that Torobatl and/or Riis are up next to liberate for their respective races. Likely Torobatl first, would put us in direct opposition with Xivu Arath.
I actually wish frontiers is a new game, but hear me out.
Following the defeat of the witness and these “episodes,” the traveler shares its wealth of the light back to old followers and new ones alike,
Frontiers is a new game where we can play as fallen, cabal, or humanity guardians (possibly also hive, but big “possibly” there) working to dispel echos that flew very, VERY far away (what remains of riis or torobatl, for example) and fight new alien races
The idea of Frontiers being the restoration of D2 content in the DCV, is one that I’m interested in.
Now that this game has had its time in the sun, they can start to reincorporate what was cut out to make updates more efficiently.

I hope we get full campaigns in specific new regions like the pale heart.
I think that Frontiers will involve leaving Sol. Imagine being able to go to the ruins of Fundament, Riis, and Torobatl? Or finding out where the Vex are really from?

I personally want to believe that Frontiers would be an exploration outside of Sol. Perhaps Riis or Torobatl?
They already brought them back within seasonal content..then one time they gave us the leviathan as a cool patrol zone and took it back after witch queen.

I just want Mars and the escalation protocol again. It was the best. And them to reimplement xol as a strike/nightfall
I just wish and hope that Bungie would someday return not just the old destinations but also the old campaigns that were lost, everyone even the veterans and new lights should at least go through the stories that led to these points.
From our downfall from the Red legion to meeting the old legendary guardians Osiris in the infinite forest to Ana Bray of Mars, to even the return of the tangled shore to experience being a sort of outlaw that took vengeance on the Barons that took Caydes life, back then when we experienced them not all of it was great but still though.. you never know you'll miss something until it's gone.
These deserved better in my opinion and need a return from the content vaulting, Mars, Mercury, Io, Titan, and the stories that led us here and now, strikes and all, those should be brought back and be experienced again for as long as we are there to play.
New earth locations would be dope
i hope we get Io back. that was my favorite location back during the Red War, i would grind patrols and public events for hours and hours on end. Asher Mir also cracked me up every time i got to talk to him

I really hope that's not all it is, I like crosses theory about us fixing up the dreadnought in the 3rd episode and going to new frontiers away from Sol.

If frontiers isn't a new guardian MC exploring actual new "frontiers" and getting away from the Sol system, I'm gonna be disappointed.

I absolutely love this idea, plausible, but if it was something so 'simple' (forgive me) it wouldn't be so closely guarded, unless something else massive entails it like 3 NEW destinations or another Destiny universe or timeline that you can swap to. My point is something bigger is at hand that is MASSIVELY guarded and no hints have been given, and they usually drop hints on upcoming thing, but we're still a year away so there is time

Dude I'm serious if we get to go back to Venus I will be so excited I loved Venus it could cost $20 and be literally the same destination and with the same strikes and no lost sectors and id still be happy with it

I dont know about that, but I would most certainly love to see the previous expansions unvaulted and given a fresh coat of paint so the game is whole once again. Hell id even pay for a remaster of taken king and RoI

No way Brother Vance comes back. He was way too one dimensional as a character. Besides, he wandered off into the infinite forest, and nobody ares enough about him to mount a rescue like we did for Saint
I feel free of Destiny 2 after we killed the witness. But if bungie finally brought back all the vaulted content I might play again. But it'll never be the same after all we've done.
If returning locations include more returning D1 exotics, I'm game.
They said they’d find ways to fit older comment back into the game on their website. So, I think you might be into something. I really want to go through Forsaken again.
But bring them back completely and not just for the episode. And if we are at that make a new little campaign (2 to 3 missions) that replaces the new light experience
