During proper running/sprinting the knee DON'T extend during the ground contact phase. There should be no active knee extension to run efficently! Triple extension is wrong.
well it's more on technique than muscles, my friend who is really small but fast I just outran him with great techniques I found on the internet, the muscles also needed to be working on for more efficiency
