Thats lovely. You know what, after we lived outside Turkey for 6 years and came back home my mother-in-law also made this dish and put to our fridge at home. I just remembered. I should have said this memory in the video :)
I made this last night for dinner because I had leftover meatballs. It was comforting and delicious. It reminded me of how my mom would cook off the cuff when I was younger. No recipe just delicious food.
Hi Aysenur, we have the same peas dish for dinner today and soup of course... This weather needs soup more than ever. I liked your first comment about onions... Really I cannot think of a pan cooked dish that doesn't start with fried onions and tomato paste. It is the definition of umami... We really never get short of onions. They are a life saver! Bon appetite!
We do the same dish of bazella ( green peas) in our country but we don t bother with all these steps of frying except for a bit of onions at first we just add all the ingredients together with water and tomato paste and let it cook slowly after boiling. With rice and vermicelli browned without oil or butter on the side. Fat and frying is way too much here. I bet the taste is the same with less fat.
Beautiful. One of my favorite sounds is onions hitting hot oil. I love your channel, and your food is so well presented and thoughtful. 🙏🏼✨ and of course it is delicious, as a result.
Good Morning!Ms Altan is 9:00am in Chicago very cold 🥶 but I enjoy a lot watching your videos ,everyday I learn more how to cook your your recipes thanks !👍😀🇺🇸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was wonderful, I picked up some useful tips and you've answered what I always used to wonder about the rice with the brown bits. Thank you. Tessekurler
Looks fabulous and I cannot wait for your leek recipe, I make the Turkish leek food for my husband and would love to see if it’s the same or indeed a different variation. 🇬🇧 🇹🇷
I admire you very much for the amount of energy you put into cooking. It's pure love. I love your pots and the pan, very good quality! Good health to your hands
Do you have the name of the pasta you put in the rice please? I’m trying to find it in Australia. I’m an Aussie married to a Turk so your channel has helped me so much! Thank you :)
My pleasure, I am happy to hear that. It is called vermicelli pasta in English in USA. Hope it helps 😊 you can also use orzo pasta. Check the channel for detailed recipe.
@@TFT I found Orzo pasta, do you just do the same method that you did with your pasta/rice? cook it a little first in butter before adding the rice? thank you!
After see wanted to go and join juicy 🤤😋😋. We also eat rice everyday with either meal or vegetable. But your rice look more tasty. I am very ahh to taste Turkish halal food. Hope I go there. Insa Allah.
Looks yummy but I just wanted to ask have you tried that food which most of the turkish people eat when they make it they do some rolling kind of thing with the help of finger and then they put some prepared stuff in it would like to see if you made this on channel
No, not really, you guys use totally different spices and use more ground beef then peas and it has no " schorba" . Am I right or right? 😊 Plus, you don't use any tomato paste , carrots nor potatoes .
You make me miss my Ma'a... i miss watching her cook, I really appreciate your simple filming and presentation style. Its perfect.
What a warming meal! Nice view of the city from the dinner table. 😊
This is a classic dinner I ask my mother in law when I visit, usually she have it ready as soon as we arrived from the airport 😀
