The library ghost from the 1984 Ghostbusters movie. She definitely remembers Ray.
Welp, there goes my ghostbuster timeline theory 😑.
The ghost still remembers the original ghostbusters.
She definitely remembers Ray.
@@waynemacfarland1546 that she does, why?, cause the dead NEVER forgets meeting someone, or some people, who tried to ambush her.
The Gray Lady.
She looks 👍
Agreed, even the dead hasn’t changed much.
The Library Ghost from 1984 Huge Flashback!! 😎👍👻
Didn't Ray even learn his lesson after their first encounter with that ghost 40 years ago? You just don't mess with a ghoulish librarian!
Get her, Ray!!!
why didnt they trap her in the interim years between 2 and afterlife in this movie canon like in the game? doesnt make much sense to me.
@@mansharker8I kinda wish the game was canon but it isn’t :/
@@mansharker8 In the game, they trapped her, but the mayor (Ivo Shandor) went to free the ghosts confined in the firehouse. So I guess she went back to haunting the library.
@@mansharker8Remember, Egon took Ecto1 and all their equipment, and, put them out of business.
"Get her." That was your whole plan. Get her.
Watched with the family and mother-in-law, and we all laughed our ass's off.
That long horn phantom freak is gotta be second scariest ghost I've ever seen the Ghostbusters ever feasted
5:22 AGH!!! God damnit! WARN ME PLEASE?! God you scared the heart out of me!
Defeats the purpose of a ghost movie.
The Possessor is basically Kremzeke
Oh yes, the library ghost DEFINITELY remembers Ray.
My thoughts exactly!
5:17 Ray thinking you got to be kidding me
3:24- mary Todd Lincoln using the f word, apparently she saw a moth.
I busted my gut at that line.
I was surprised seeing that librarian ghost......I haven't seen it since the first movie
That sounds about right for New York. Cops actually see a giant stone lion attacking so they arrest the kid.
An orb, a recording cylinder, & a Victorian adventurers society? Coincidentally, that’s the trifecta of plot points in a major story arc in The Venture Brothers.
Dan akroyd saved this movie for me!!!!!! Without him it would of been boring.
I'm kinda upset they cut out most of Patton Oswald's scenes in the movie
You maybe one of a few
5:14 "👻shhhhh"
So…… the cops didn’t see the big stone lion come to life? Lol
those specific cops are idiots, this isn't too far off from reality considering some cops still beat up black pepole like monsters.
Is that guy the voice of Remy in ratitouille?
Yes
And the voice of Male Jesse from Minecraft: Story Mode and Dr Dementor from Kim Possible.
Patton Oswalt.
Yes! His voice is Remy himself! 😆
🐀
When i first saw this in theaters the whole laugh when they recognized the ghost 👻
I always say this this movie is brilliant no matter what. I don’t see anything wrong with this movie
my only complaint is that it was too short
I liked it a lot, but I do agree with some critics that there was way too much focus on exposition and minor character development. Feels like a lot should have been cut to make the movie move along more smoothly. Not bad though.
We just watched FIVE minutes of TALKING.
Yeah, it's got the best Slimer ever who slimes Finn Wolfhard twice, PLUS a whole new slimer who is even more gross than Slimer, who slimes Kumail Nanjiani once! And the reason for this is... uh... well I mean... it's like... triple? the slimings of Ghostbusters (1984)? Or at least double since it's two characters?
The end includes "For Ivan" as I hoped but I also expected to see Egon as a Ghost appear to stand by his mates and family one more time. If that Library ghost could return so could he.
The movie was great how it had both the library ghost lady and slimmer in ghostbusters frozen empire.
She remembers Ray XD Ray knows to run
Rays face after the sssh is like not again
I'm planning to make a lego custom of they're version of the Ecto 2 and I'm definitely adding that proton gun
I never thought they'd be a Ghostbusters movie that would bore me as much as this one did.
When she shushed, he should have just said “sorry” and left her to read. Guess he never learned his lesson.
OMG it's Patton Oswalt!
Hey remember the Library Ghost from The Original Ghostbusters.....lets use that because memberberries.
Anyone who collects Edison wax cylinders knows that would have shattered into a million pieces when it slammed into those books. It certainly wouldn't have made a sound like a toilet paper roll.
The “shh” from the OG be coming back with this one
Its been 40 years and the guys still havent caught that ghost
lol
Oswalt is an instant pass.
Why wouldn't they not let podcast. Use a proton pack?
In Afterlife Phoebe saw an opportunity to keep it instead of giving him a turn. By this point he knows she is more experienced with a proton pack and keeps deferring to her.
WHAT is the appeal of Patton Oswalt? Sheesh.
He plays a really good geek/nerdy fanboy and I dig it
He's the closest they could get to Rick Moranis. He's supposed to remind us of Rick Moranis despite the way his character is nothing like Louis Tully.
No appeal whatsoever. Ray should either know all this or done the research on his own.
@@gospelofrye6881 I thought Kumani was supposed to be the Louis in this.
One of the reasons me and many didn't pay to see this movie.
Upcoming Movies Thursday 30th May 2024-Thursday 13th June 2024!
5:54 Me After Megamind 2
I know im not the only 1 watching or in the comments that googled the singing cheeses of Copenhagen 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
That looks like the set for the Librarians tv show 😅
"What's inside it?"
"EXCELLENT question! ....Probably sand."
Logan: Go ahead, ask me where I found it. ASK ME!
Guy: Where did you find it?
Logan: Well, funny you should ask.
So as much as the Video Game was considered Canon, it seems that it is not then. Sad, cause not only the original cast did voice work on the video game, it was also the last Ghostbusters production that the original Writers Dan Akroyd (Ray Stantz) and the late Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) worked on the story.
I remember when marvel movies started to feel the same... the pacing the style... then they brought it to DC... and we know what happened there... Then they brought it to star wars and same thing... then they brought it to ghostbusters.
what the hell is going on in this movie? i feel like im falling asleep to the history channel.
What did Patton mean by “battle of the seven armies” 1:30
As a hobbit, Patton probably heard about it from Bilbo.
It was during Gilgamesh and Endiku’s exploration adventures.
Its hard to believe they made a physical prop for not even 3 seconds of screen time.
just shows how much effort was put into making the movie even if the pacing was a bit sloppy in some parts.
Sadly this alone no longer makes the 09 videogame cannon
Membaberries
Five minutes of exposition?
They still haven’t caught her yet?!?
It's canon in the ghostbusters video game they caught her. The video game is considered as ghostbusters 3 but canonically in this one she's never been caught
@@sebastiang6500 Right, right. A momentary lapse of judgment, I forgot ghostbusters has a multiverse
To be fair, I get that way too when people interrupt me when I'm reading. Maybe she was just a real avid reader in life 😂. Leave her be.
I think the movie reason is because theres too many precious books where she roams to even consider normal techniques. It would be nearly impossible to catch her without destroying things
@@sebastiang6500 they did catch her in the TVG, but just like in Frozen Empire, the containment unit was busted open freeing all the ghosts they caught by Ivo Shandor (who possessed the mayor at the time), in order to feed his destructor form.
Of course that was way back in 1991 which is basically ancient history for most, so many wouldn’t remember the Thanksgiving TVG events of that year.
The film has a lot of terrific stuff in it, but it's just so uneven. It's like it was made by a committee that almost never managed to have meetings. The Kids' Movie parts of it have their own tone, and the CGI is uncomfortably variable, and later in the movie, especially, too much of the story is It Doesn't Matter How We Get To The Next Point. The film is like a fancy restaurant with a terrific menu and average food.
THAT'S IT? That's all you get for the library ghost? And an annoying Patton Oswald cameo ruining, what could be, some creepy exposition?
That is such a sloppy way of cameo for the librarian. The movie overall was a huge letdown
Patton Oswalt, the most pointless character in this movie...
Just as pointless as having the kids.
They should have either made it for kids or used only adults like the original.
@@dsadik666exactly this!!! A glut of characters is one thing that really held this movie back. Either have Patton be a Ghostbuster and cut out Lucky and Podcast, etc. Or do something different, having 30 ‘busters in the firehouse taking on one enemy was a touch much. Plus it took four to take out Gozer, took much more to take out what seemed to be a weaker style 👻…
Too much fake mythology. Even the Ghostbusters II bad guy was based on medieval black magicians.
Yea it’ has a lot on both sequels
@michaelcharlesthearchangel tbh Gozer wasn't from real mythology also come on its a movie.
@@griffysfnafchannel, Gozer was based on ancient god myths concerning the dead. The freeze effect centered bad guy reminded me of a video game boss but less powerful, just like the Aquaman 2 boss.
@@michaelcharlesthearchangel (based on)
@@griffysfnafchannel, Furiosa just bombed. Definitely a change in Hollywood soon. A couple could have more entertaining and more meaningful experiences by using AI to have fun now.
could have been much better
Drop the Kids in the Ghostbusters and go back to the drawing board! - Scientists trying to rid the world of supernatural entities and THEN we’ll have a movie! 😊
100 %
Fan service.
A shame GB turned into a kids movie. This scene alone has too many silly cartoon-like bits. And the girl looks too much like Egon, so silly, so typical, so predictable.
Movies not Bad but what they did with some of the characters was unnecessary.
This doesn’t look very good. Glad I skipped it
good reasons why it lost money
It was a good movie. There was still a whole lot better than that 2016 mess!
@@HEAVYMETALmovie1981 anything is better than 2016 woke busters.
We're glad you skipped it too. Shorter line for authentic fans like the rest of us. Go back to your accordion music. Nothing to see here
@@houseofno so there's not enough authentic fans for Ghostbusters to make a profitable movie? Lols
Frozen empire is a mess of a movie. Too much money for CG and no real story to tell. A real missed opportunity to get the franchise on track.
There's far too much exposition and unnecessary dialogue in this film.
There was no need for Patton Oswalt or for the New York Public Library to feature in this film. All that was required was a brief explanation from Ray in his Occult book shop. They could have saved themselves a lot of money, time and extra work by simply cutting this needless stuff out of the film. There was no need to pay a fee to Oswalt or spend money on building the library set. It just goes to show that the writers and producers of this terrible movie didn't know what they were doing.
I think they needed an action scene halfway through the movie. For me, the problem is that the action should have been longer (and more attractive) than the exposition, not the opposite. The movie lacks dynamism for more than an hour, in my opinion.
@@mimicocotier1311 That's part of it. The main problem is that there are just far too many ingredients in Frozen Empire. Too many characters, and too many subplots. The original 1984 film is a very simple story. It has a handful of characters who are all focused on the same goal. It's a focused, coherent story, told efficiently. That's why it works and Frozen Empire doesn't.
@@ghostbusterscollector8593 Yes, I agree. The fire master is too much. And Melody's plot isn't interesting enough. And the Gary/Phoebe relationship is poorly developed. They've written the movie like an episode of a TV show. When the container at the firehouse blow up, I expected to read "to be continued". 😅
@@mimicocotier1311 And the whole convoluted business about bronze. It was all so unnecessary. The film is so unnecessarily overcomplicated.
@@ghostbusterscollector8593What a pity!
Ugh. That's a stretch. Is there no more originality?!!!
They ruined these movies with the kids
