the collage dean who fired Peter in the first movie was DEAD wrong about him. Dude earns his doctorate because he can understand people and get inside their heads. this scene among many others is proof!
Not enough people are talking about what a wonderfully nuanced performance Aykroyd gives in this film. In fact, I'd even say he turns in one of his best performances in GB4. Thanks to soulful writing and thirty plus years, Ray has more depth than ever before. 🏆
Ray and Phoebe had most of the lines… I enjoyed it ! He was reaching into some deep emotions about not only his character is Ray, but his friendship with Harold Ramis. You could see it ❤️
100 percent, Ray felt like he belonged in the movie and his role was perfect as he was not only a mentoring source but an actual invaluable key player in investigating the big bad of the film. The same goes for Peter, while not as effective as Ray, the film actually showcased he was a contributing member as the paranormal psychologist and obviously reminding us he was working on psychic research and adept in his field in easily identifying Nadeem's psychic potential.
Absolutely, agreed!!! Venkman was always my favorite but as of recently I can really relate with Ray. They really shouldn’t have cut any of the scenes with the OG cast because they were all fantastic but Aykroyd definitely gave the stand out performance!
Thank you Dan Akroyd for keeping the character and spirit of the ghostbusters franchise as “alive” and true as possible in 2020s Hollywood. He was the heart and “soul” of this film.
there should be a ghostbusters movie with no spanglers and just a ghostbusters movie with bill murray, dan aykroyd, ernie hudson, annie potts, william atherton, sigourney weaver, and bill's and sigourney's now grown up son known as oscar.
I love Kumail Nanjiani, but I feel like his humorous style didn’t quite work in a ghostbusters film. It’s too clever. It’s dialogue and bit-driven, whereas I feel like the heart and soul of the original films came from naturalism and an embrace of the humor of the mundane..
You know this scene/movie screams pandering right? Will someone at least please acknowledge this? I mean, you know, there was a discussion that said we have to have xyz represented…just, someone at least acknowledge that this is a smidge performative, c’mon…
I like that Venkman has been noticing the flame behind him all this time. It reacted since the first question.
Dam he got old lol

Seeing Ray smile on, "Are you going to take that from her ?" was the challenge accepted look.

Just the way he says “hauuuuunted” has that classic Aykroyd feel from his ‘80s performances, he knocked it out of the park in this film.

Another point: In this movie Ray definitively transitioned from trope character to a full fledged one.
"did I pass?"
a venkman answer would most likely be
"....no..."
"We had no equipment back then" -- kinda wanna see a GB prequel about the boys as post-grads goin on their first haunt
Who was their advisor?
That's also what am i thinking too about ghostbusters prequel and is about the trios
@@muhammadasmadi7326 the guy who plays Patrick in "Challengers", I could see him as a young Egon
One of my favorite scenes in the movie. Venkman hasn't lost his touch.
I only liked since Bill Murray didn't care if he threw pens or not and not giving a f*ck
I love that Nadeem I’m glad that he continued on with his own family Legacy.
I always had a hunch that there's a bunch of psychics and wizards in the Ghostbusters universe, there's a ton of hints that proves otherwise
I just realized I've never seen that scene because I slept through the second act and woke up just in time for the big CGI battle.
Weird, unusual, eccentric, seemingly a charlatan, but in reality still a true Scientist, Dr. Peter Venkman, PhDs in Psychology and Para Psychology.
3:57 “have you ever experienced Deja vu?”
Okay if that’s suppose to be a direct nod to Groundhog Day I’ll be very impressed 😊😊
Considering Egon directed the movie, it's not just a nod, it's a tribute.
One of my favorite scenes
I loved this scene. The entire theater was rolling 😅
I would've walked out
@drphot6050 thanks for sharing 🥴👎
@@PKGangsta18same with ours. Particularly when Peter started hucking pens
Hahahahaha classic Dr Peter Venkman is the only scientist who would do something like that to a person.....love that guy
Peter still a scientist 😂😂
Venkman Forever ❤
That helmet brings back memories I remember I when Louis first worn it when he was the key master

I'd wager that Murray and Nanjiani may have adlibbed a lot of the dialogue in the interview scene.
Wow.. a bunch of ppl here that didn't like this movie and gotta tell everyone how bad it was.. no surprise there.
Finn With The Guitar
I was more impressed by the spice rack. I'm kidding... but it is an impressive collection of spices.
YES it made me angry DID IT. Murray was good in this. Felt like old style Venkman.
This is a great movie, I love this actor, all the actors are great! I bought the movie so I can watch it whenever!

I thought the Ecto-C was a cool idea, I wish we could have seen more of it.

Everyone here that has seen the movie has googled the singing cheeses of Copenhagen 😂
I did NOT know James Acaster was in this movie. Now I HAVE to watch it, which I wasn't going to.
Do _you_ ever experience déjà vu?
Is it me or does he look like John blushi
they put the old computer in the back!!!!
Fin could have been left out it would not have changed the movie at all. The same for some of the other characters. They don't bring anything
I watched this movie today. I thought it was pretty good. I was expecting worse

Wow there are some dreadful 'acting' performances in this clip!!
James Acaster & Kumail Nanjiani .......awful!
I was so exited to see this and it was so mediocre, i dont even remeber what happend .
Jesus this dialogue is cringe.
This movie is a catastrophe.
Says the person with star wars in their name the new star wars sucked but I don't complain about it
Can't remember his name but indian dude hasn't been funny for a long long time
he is not indian and this is a movie ( where WRITERS write the joke NOT the actors)
No one wanted to see this SJW be the hero.
