I made these and they were wonderful! About to make them again! I'm pregnant, so the dates are what drew me to this recipe. I used regular flour, and put half chocolate chips and half cranberry/pecan for topping. Also it works perfectly in the vitamix!
    So delicious...

I just made these tonight and they turned out great! I didn’t have Millet flour so I just used regular all purpose flour instead of the Millet flour (I’m not gluten free at all so it wasn’t a big deal to me) and then used the almond flour for the rest of it. These came out super yummy and chocolatey and super moist. Although mines definitely wasn’t a brownie, it was basically chocolate cake but I’m not complaining cause it was definitely one of the moistest chocolate cakes I’ve ever made. This was my first time eating and using dates in a recipe too and they are super yummy. Dates are 100% like nature’s candy. I can’t believe how sugary and candy like they are and I can totally see why people use them in dessert recipes. This chocolate brownie/cake was so incredibly soft and moist and chocolatey. There’s no other words to describe it. Thank You so much for sharing the recipe!

I just made it and all I can say, "Wow". The dates make brownies taste like heaven. I also added instant espresso just because I have it, but I will just soak dates in a freshly brewed coffee when I run out of the powdered form. Bobby and Dessi, thank you for sharing this recipe. Your book was in my amazon cart before I made these brownies, but now it is on the way to my home :0)

This recipe is one of the most accurate in terms of ingredients and measurement. There are so many BAD recipes on YT by amateurs, I have wasted too much food, recipes that I followed correctly, THIS RECIPE WORKED!! The brownies turned out super moist, like a delicious chocolate cake. I didn't even have chocolate chips for the top, Please, if you want a delicious sugarless GF chocolate cake, take one last chance and try this amazing recipe, I was about to give up on home baking w/out sugar, this absolutely changed my mind. Just Made These Today. INCREDIBLE. LOVE them. I had some dates left in my pantry...not enough for whole recipe so decided to make a 1/2 recipe... had about 5 ounces of dates...made a total of 6 with some figs i had on hand. Used all almond flour instead of the millet since i didn't have that on hand. Cooked it in a 6 inch round cake pan for 45 minutes. I've made other almond brownies recipes before but I was SUPER IMRPRESSED at how incredibly flavorful and sweet these treats were. I'm craving a bite right now but I'm on intermittent fasting so have to wait until next day to indulge more. Can't wait to serve these to some of my gluten-free friends.
