Oh my God! Took up piano in my retirement to pass the long Minnesota winters. You are the BEST piano teacher ever, and as a 40 year public school teacher I do not make that statement lightly. My first piano teacher as a child was this cranky old woman with halitosis who screeched at me for thirty minutes. It was unbearable. My second teacher was kind and patient, but my parents thought my progress didn't warrant the pittance she was being paid. And I find you on RUclips, and even your sheet music downloads are free! You are a treasure.
How sweet are you to make this possible for those of us who grew up with amazing music in the 60’s and ‘70’s? I studied piano, (mostly classical), theory and sight singing/ear training from age 10-18, but what I’ve longed for all my life is to touch the instrument and hear/feel great beauty…not only the emotion, but the unifying energy of exquisitely structured expressions of the human soul. You’re designing a portal opening for anyone to move into a lovely way to develop musically. Yours is a very special way of presenting and facilitating learning. Your voice is so pretty also. I only discovered you a few days ago, but just watching has opened a whole new world for me to explore…for the rest of my life. Now that I know about the structure of chord progressions in all styles of music, I know my experience will be greatly enriched. After several decades with no music making, it’s kind of like being reborn in sitting down to the piano. I’m delving into my favorite Bach pieces, but there’s now SO MUCH MORE!!! 🙏💕🎶✨✌️🌎🌺☀️
All these years and this is the 1st piano version of this song I have heard and it sounds Great on piano, as good as Jimmy page on guitar , crisp clear string in My opinion. Wow, . And as I am learning piano now , I Get excited with every song I now know I will someday play thru, Songs We have All listened to in our lives
I aways wanted to play this song and loved your lesson. I started piano classes last year and don't feel confident enough to try some musics that I like yet. But you lesson seems so approachable that I ll challenge myself. So thank you very much!
Best piano tutorials. Fantastic. Thanks so much. I wish you would finish by playing the songs from start to finish. It would be a great benefit to us beginners to see the music from beginning to end. I hope you keep producing these videos
Although I am not an English-speaking man but your explanation is quite clear and certainly make it quite easy to follow and practice. Good tutorial. 👍👍👍👏👏👏 Bravo!
I nailed STH intro from the last guitar riff on piano tutorial you guys make, and i'm loving it, i play it everyday, can't wait to learn the whole song
Omg thank u for the sheet music. Anyone ever try and learn to play a song after seeing it done and not find the right sheet music or the one ur looking for lol. Not today satony lol
Wow. Excellent lesson as usual👏. Never thought I’d hear a classic R&R song like this that could sound so good solo on a piano. Another challenging song to learn👍. Thank you very much😁.
A great lesson thanks! Thanks also for the sheet music which is extremely clear for a learner which I am! Having the chords is brilliant. I work out the melody using the chords and then go back to learn the notes using the notation. I think that maybe a lot of pianists miss this approach but it makes it sooooo much eadier. I'm coming to this from playing a guitar which prob explains why I approach it that way. Anyway thanks again! Rhianna unfaithful with sheet music would be good 🙏🙏🙏😊😊
Great job as always Lisa, once I finish learning "Lullabye" by Billy Joel I will tackle this song. I am originally a guitar player end believe it or not, I never learned Stairway. Here is a good suggestion for you, "Colour My World" by Chicago. It is basically arpeggios and repeated 3 times. I taught my wife to play it and I play the flute solo on the 3rd repetition.
Could you do something with beautiful Cajun ballad chord progressions? I’ve ordered books of jazz, rock, gospel progressions and bookmarked many on youtube, but Cajun songs are so filled with feeling, and all the books are for accordion and fiddle. Last night, I came upon the very beautiful La Terre Tremblante (2 wonderful versions on youtube, one with lyrics in French and English). Wow, what a moving and powerful piece. This is a beloved area for me, and I’d so appreciate your take on it. This would certainly be called a Lament, and many others are equally celebrations of life and love. Thanks so much for all you do.
I love your videos, helps keep me inspired to continue self learning! A nice song suggestion is "Knockin' on Heaven's door" but the one out of the show "Lucifer" which has a nice jazzy classical tone to it.
Incredible Lisa like always! Please do a tutorial step by step on phil collins on the air tonight, but the piano only version when Phil did a live interview, i could not find a tutorial anywhere. Thank you so much!
This is better than bohemian rhapsody vid. My dear girl, you are gorgeous and wonderful and talented. But the bohemian tutorial was shite. Yet this, along with countless others, us fabulous. You are as blessed as you are loved. Thank you
Really enjoyed this lesson Lisa, and great to learn how to play an old favorite ( didn't think it was possible to play this on the piano lol ) thank you . One question and one suggestion ,what is best to play with the left hand in part 38 under the G/B notation ? Also you say you like the big cords, my i suggest you listen to the piano part of Glow by The American Dollar, would love to hear your take on that and hope you like it . Thanks again .
Very good lesson I loved your Enthusiasm and they way you teach . You really make learning fun . I'm having downloading the Stairway to heaven sheet music its asking me for a password.

I just love how you guys simplify everything
all music is simple. Artists just flourish and embellish it to make it sound even better.
@@23bobjr Is it really? Have you tried to play some pieces composed by Chopin?
Classic 70s rock with a beautiful melody Thanks for sharing.
I aways wanted to play this song and loved your lesson. I started piano classes last year and don't feel confident enough to try some musics that I like yet.

As (also) a guitar player, I didn't expect this song to sound this good on piano... But this is exquisite!
