This is probably my fav so far from the drumeo and Pianote series. It’s just so impressive! She needed to figure out the song, figure out an approach to playing it, apparently memorize it and then have the dexterity to be able to play it… but also play it with a lot of emotion and character. This old man doesn't cry much but that song means a lot to me. I saw Interstellar with my son at an Imax the day the movie was released. I've watched it easily a thousand times since. The soundtrack is something that is lost to me after hearing it so many times. It's just seamless and complete. I've never given thought to "Cornfield Chase" but I instantly knew what part of the movie and of course this hauntingly beautiful piece. What a blessing to be able to listen to something so complicated, watch it broken down into parts, and played not to perfection but prefectly played. Drumeo turned me onto this kind of content and I am so happy it is also done on piano. Happy to sub.

Just recently saw it at an IMAX as well. What a difference that made to a living room viewing! The sound, visuals, and everything made me even forget I was in public watching the film; I was just engrained in the movie.

One of my favourite things in music is when you can tell something's being created through pure inspiration, and it still comes out perfect. 6:20 is one of the best examples of that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

When she was listening to it, she didn't seem nervous, frightened or confused, she was just excited. She was confident from the top and has the talent to back it up. Just watching her hands move is mesmerizing - 5:50 gave me goosebumps. Her love for the art is palpable. Plus she's fun and charismatic! I would LOVE to see a conversation between her and Hans Zimmer.

I've never seen a more beautiful transition from Score to Pop and back to Score. Like a true lesson in the differential of space in music. How music can throw your mind from wanting to focus to instantly wanting to sway and move with it.
