Hi! I love this channel because there are so many tutorials of really popular songs, like Taylor swift songs, which I love so much and I can learn it with the sheet music! It’s so hard to find popular sheet music for free and have awesome tutorials on the song I’m learning! I have a a sign request, Cruel Summer, by Taylor swift. It’s one of my favorite songs and super popular too! I hope you guys can take the time and make a video on how to play Cruel summer! Thank you so much!

@@shelby-r1eThat…absolutely isn’t true. Jazz is not characterized by being slow. That isn’t to say it can’t be, but that is not a defining feature. I’d say syncopated rhythms are more typical of jazz which you can definitely hear in this, and Jazz can be quite fast. Not saying this is true jazz by any means, but you’re also mistaken & likely thinking solely of popular ballads.

Honestly, the thing I love the most about this is how Sangah was clearly enjoying how utterly barmy the song is. She's already got a huge grin on her face as we head into the second B section and then just breaks as the "DUN! DUN! DUN! DUN!" keyboard slams happen, then she sees this wall of notes coming at her when the key changes and she just starts laughing even harder and even mimics the "EEEEEEEEE!" at the end.

So I'm not a piano player myself, however, I think I have a fairly unique relationship with it: My mom teaches piano, from preschool to highschool aged kids. So I'm surrounded by people who love playing the piano, especially with my mom. So I sent her this! First off, her reaction was that everyone wants to learn this song; aka, a lot of her students. But this is a great way to show this level of musical expertise to people who are good at the basics, but haven't gotten into composing or truly listening.
It's also a great lesson in how wrong notes don't break a piece. Slight imperfections are rarely noticed by the audience, and even so, they add a personal touch. And when you get to crazy songs like this, the notes will just fall apart... But it works, as long as you have the base of the song still there. It makes the piece feel complete.
Thank you for showing us the thought behind each step, it makes me feel connected to my mom, in a time that we're not very close :>

Sangah is such a master but humble in the face of things even she can learn from. I like the advice to listen and not to rush into playing, I'm going back to my fur elise practice though...rush E is a bit mental haha.

I grew up learning with Suzuki method as well as learning lots of traditional/folk tunes and i can for sure say, she doesn't sound like a "suzuki kid" to me.
I also think that her "jazzified" Rush E is awesome and she sounds *so good* when she stops trying to reproduce the original and starts to fool around with the music instead

Just found your channel via Levi Clay's review of Pianote (ok, it's 3 years old but I got around to it). I've been listening to Sangah for a while now and can confirm that she is, in fact, a Rock Star!

Love how you can still hear here own melody and style show through, she took the most impossible song ever and made it totally approachable and more beautiful somehow. Took it from meme to a true classical tune!

Sangah right here - has some top tier professional skill.
The method you used, listening to the song by ear and then compare your singing with the piano notes, I also use it and I can play literally any easy song without even looking it up.
    Full.
The fact that even the man himself, SheetMusicBoss, has commented on this video, is a rare W.
