Mammoth will be opening for Slash&Myles in Amsterdam in April. I’m hoping they will do a small collab like this then!

WVH is awesome in his own right as a composer and guitarist, I want to see these guys really blow up big.

They left out Layne’s “Yeahs!”, Miles and Wolf did harmony vocals, and they gave Layne’s solo vocals to the 4th guitarist. Wolf has played the solo dozens of times. They picked that arrangement, crybabies.

I'm sorry but this is a little disappointing. You bring Myles up and don't let him take lead vocals? That's like bringing Eddie VH on stage and letting him play rhythm guitar. All props to a good rendition of a great song, but if you weren't watching this you would never even know Myles was on stage.

As a matter of fact.....not having Myles play lead guitar is just as disturbing to me

@@raleighsinclair1012 wow, it seems maybe YOU'RE the one having the bad day? All I said was it is "a little disappointing" and that gets you all up in a tizzy? I even said, "I'm sorry but..." and still you couldn't hold back? Maybe you need to dial down the sensitivity just a tad? If you look you'll see even "The Guitarist" who authored the post liked my comment as I'm sure he recognized I was only giving my humble opinion, something we're all entitled to do. I said NOTHING that was disrespectful and I made sure to acknowledge that their rendition was "good" because it really was. Truth is when I saw Myles come on stage I was excited to hear him tear through the song with his incredible vocals and pay homage to the late, great Layne Staley (who was also a vocal master) and that didn't happen so I was "a LITTLE disappointed". If that's a problem for you then maybe you should consider whether or not you can respect other's opinions. If your opinion differs from mine then you're free to share, but telling me my comment is "unnecessary" is the same as trying to censor me because my views differ from yours and that makes you a bigot. Not a pretty title.
Let's play nice, agree to disagree, and move on. God bless.

Yep. He should have sung lead vocals and guitar leads. Maybe it was just a happen stance where he was there "oh let's play this song!" No rehearsal kind of thing.

Yes Lane was lead, but AIC's vocals are 75% harmonized by Cantrell, who is an incredible singer himself, so getting that part is no insult IMO.
And as others pointed out, you are assuming WVH chose to give him that part when it could have been his choice.
Why not just appreciate the performance?

    • @dragons_red

@@CoreyAlanRose why? WVH can play circles around Miles. But who cares who plays what?
So many overly opinionated people about the decisions other people make they have no involvement in...

Four guitars and a bass for Them Bones? GTFO.

"Jerry Cantrell would rather people not try and sound like him but sound like themselves." There are "No Excuses" for ruining my favorite Alice In Chains song. "I Stay Away" from Wolfgang's music as much as I can.
