No point in sacking poch, the upside is a manager somehow gets this group of completely individualistic qualities well drilled and cohesive by the end of the season (most clubs needing 2-3 seasons of gelling) and then has no money to spend in the transfer window due to ffp restrictions. The best Chelsea could feasibly achieve next season is be in the hunt for European football. Also a lot of money to to spend sacking poch and then buying out a new manager for the potential of 3-4 places up the league and the more realistic outcome of the exact same season as this one

I think they’re all on Twitch or Patreon (or both, I don’t know anything about those platforms) behind paywalls. They want money and it’s easier to get through paywalls on other platforms that here. I think that’s the point.

Keeping Poch is a very large risk compared with any of the mentioned alternative managers. Keeping a manager you know already is sh.... and then hope for the best because Klopp was at LFC for so long and Pep at City .... that sounds a crazy argument.

I can’t bare the idea of chopping and changing again. Yes we could bring in a lesser known manager and he might hit the ground running. Or it’ll be another failed appointment and another 2 seasons wasted. There are 3 managers I would replace poch with. klopp, Pep, Carlos none of which are available. We need to sit tight and give Poch another season. If things get worse and worse then obviously we might need to change things but let’s have it right… it’s not been an easy job for Poch. Every top team in the league right now have managers that were given time. We must do the same
There is no problem with Chelsea except wrong owners, average players and bad manager.
They finished 12th with 44 points last season and then sold Mount, Havertz, kovacic, Koulibabi, Kante, Koulibaly with Jorginho leaving in January. All their experience, football culture and leadership have left. And then they're just compiled a ton of inexperienced kids with unknown abilities. If I'm a manager I don't want my reputation ruined by put into that absolute mess

It can actually get much worse for Chelsea. Theres FFP problems on one side, and if they finish the bottom half once more, im not sure how they can attract big names with, even with money (going nack to ffp).
FFP is least of the worries. I think Chelsea should spend what they need to and then take the 10 point penalty. What difference does it make if they finish 8th or 16th...
Big problem is not being able to attract the top players later on. They should go out and buy Alphonso Davies, Osimhen and Diomande this summer. This type of players won't come in 2025 and beyond.

@@aes1373 managers are easier to recruit than players. Players have a 5-7 year peak in their careers. Good managers can operate at peak level for 20+ years. They can take more chances.

To fix united and Chelsea are both simple. For Chelsea, they need an IDENTITY. Right now you watch them play and you have no clue what they’re trying to accomplish. With Liverpool you know you’re facing a squad that presses you no matter the 11 on the pitch, with man city you know you’re facing a team that has elite talent and focuses on possessing the ball and quick ball movement. They need a manager to come in and do that, and I know I’m comparing them to klopp and Pep which is hard to replicate but it won’t matter how much money they spend every summer until they build a team that has a specific identity that pairs with their manager.

I would agree with poch that the performance on the pitch hasn’t been as bad as there results have been getting, they have an mls goalkeeper and no real clinical finishers. the are gonna struggle to get results. but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are performing on the pitch poorly. football is a game of fine margins you can outperform a team I.e man city against Chelsea and vice versa. city outperformed chelsea then Chelsea out performed city neither team got 3 full points in the game they outplayed the other. if poch is saying he is happy with the performance he more then likely is.
