Thats better than whats was there. Usaly there would of been a brass fiting solderd to the thin wall dwv pipe with a niple screwed in to it for the sink drain pipe to slip in to it.
I used to do this when working for a commercial company that was more into the production side of things. Usually when I was showing up to clear the drain, so I would cut and use a KT150. But now, if I can charge well for service I might “upgrade” to something like this.
I've never seen that before
Good work
I love those traps!!

Clean 😎
Where is your flange at the wall?
Still at Home Depot
Updated not upgraded
Considering copper is a trash drain material that gets paper thin and leaks all over the place I’d say it was upgraded
Copper drain lines turn to trash (as seen in video). The update was an upgrade.
They make a clamp that will go from copper to pvc much easier than soldering.
soldering isn't that hard just use 50/50 solder for drain pipes
You’re right its burning down a house that scares me
That's why they pay me the big bucks to solder.
I think big bucks is a relative term, what do you consider big bucks?
