    Great video.
    Thanks.
    It would have been nice some close ups on the timing pins with a explanation of what we should see... Along with cambelt sensor alignment in the bottom

      Hi thanks for the feedback I’ll take that on for next time, as you can probably guess I’m still new to filming and editing so don’t always get it right. Thanks again and look out for more videos coming soon👍

      Yes they are when new, but when I see them they are all rusted up so I use a 20 just to save getting a 25 bit stuck every 2 seconds if you know what I mean. 👍

    Does the car need to be in neutral if it has an automatic gearbox to turn the engine over?

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  2 месяца назад +1

      The car does not need to be in neutral in can be in park also 👍

    When rotating at 23:45, it is springy for u like it will rotate is self or did I do it wrong, genuine question as when I put my tensior pin in the middle the car starts but makes a louder noise than normal, but if I losen the tensior to move the pin backwards it sounds normal

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Месяц назад

      If there is too much belt tension it will make a noise, did you have the cam pulley and fuel pump pulley undone when you done the tensioner ?

      @@MrAutoFixerthat’s the thing I haven’t unfortunately as I didn’t have the correct tools and I thought that might be the problem, too much belt tension, as it does sound a little louder when the car does run, I’ve done it last month and I want to get the car back on road this month so I’m gonna sort that out again thank u 🙌🏻

      Managed to do it today, taken me 3 hours but finally done it spot on and drives spot on like before, only done my cambelt as my car is 2017 and hit 112,500 miles so it was time, thanks for your advice

    Could you please let me know how many miles does it have ?
    My Golf is also a 1.6tdi, 16 plate, with 75.000 miles and the timing belt hasn’t been done yet.
    I the manual VW says that you should change the timing belt every 4 years but that sounds ridiculous to me, whilst other OEMs say that you should change it at 6-8-or even 10years.
    Yes 10years, I also have a Peugeot 308 1.6hdi and the interval for the timing belt is indeed 10years.

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  10 месяцев назад +1

      it only had 67k on the clock and these defo need a belt every 4years or it could lead to serious damage, I would recommend getting it done ✅
