    Me and my cousin did this with his prowler sled on the street. It was satisfying in the end, but brutal while we were doing it. This workout alone is responsible for my 66 pound weight loss so I want to say thank you for this.

    2nd session back in a gym today after 8 years and 3 years as a flabby stay-at-home dad. Had virtually no weight on the sled but I felt great once I got over the dry reaching and blacking out. Start of my journey back to respectable level of fitness. Massive thanks for giving me some direction to take with workouts.

    Nice work Coach. I enjoy using it for a curl/press too. Face away from sled, strap in each hand, curl up, then press forward, just like a bench press. Bear hug. Over the head triceps pull. I bend my elbows on the reverse drag.

    How to incorporate sled in my lifting routine or should I use sled only on tje day I do hitt/functional trainning? I do not do any barbell squats do to bulding disk on lower back. I do landmine belt squats now but I heard prowler are good to build legs?? Iam not an athlete anymore, iam a 50 year old fit male. I do full body lifting workouts 3x a week m,w and f...and on Tuesday I rest or do LISS workout and on THURSDAY I do 30 min HITT/functional trainning workouts with kettlebells, sandbags, sledg hammers, etc....

    Great workout !! In regard to the rope pull exercise do you recommend a mid push down/high push back back to other side before doing the rope pull again?

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  4 года назад

      jason assaf The lower you go on the push obviously the harder it gets so that’s totally up to you. You can make it harder on the way down easier on the way back or vice versa.

    Greetings! I have a question. I am considering the heavy weighted sled rope pull routine into my exercise. Planning to build a huge muscular physique. I am not aiming to be a sprinter or a runner. I want to gain size. I want to be huge and muscular. Will a HEAVY weighted sled rope pull exercise hinder mass gain /muscle gain? will it hinder the "bulking" process for muscle building? I keep reading on other forums that weighted sled exercises burn fat and energy and make you lose weight. Will using heavy weights on the sled make you gain mass instead of losing it? Can I do it without losing/burning fat? if yes, how many sets? how far should I drag the sled? Thank you for your kind attention.

    • @Criticalbench
      @Criticalbench  3 года назад +1

      This is a great question! With a lighter load on the sled and increased speed at moving it, will offer more cardio. Loading up the weight on the sled will make it more difficult to move it quickly and will be a great addition to your "building" exercises.
      We have several videos on ways to use the sled so please check them out.

    These exercises are stupid because they purpose of the sled is conditioning NOT explosivity or posterior training. Every tool has a purpose, use the right tool for the job. Snatch and cleans for explosive training and Deadlift and squat for posterior training. Your welcome.
