Did not think I was gonna wake up this morning and watch an Australian guy clean some drains, but I am so glad I did. Such a great attitude and great work. Put a well-needed smile on my face.

One of the things that annoys me most is that in western societies many people view work like this as menial, whereas in reality this kind of work is what our societies are built on top of. @@davetdowell Does it really matter what people think? This is work like any other. The pay decided by how many people are willing to compete over price.
@@adamwilliams5426 I think it does, I suspect it has an an effect on suppressing the rates of pay, which isn't just decided by how much competition there is, but also how much people are willing to pay. And as I said, it is and it isn't 'work like any other', if the base parts of our society don't work, quite a lot of that 'work like any other' isn't possible. To me that kind of uprates it's importance to us all. I hope that makes sense. It can be difficult to put it into words at times. It's kind of a base infrastruture thing we all need, but very few ever really pay any attention at all too, at least not until their house is two foot deep in water.

As singer Kris Kristofferson responded to a question about a political engagement: I didn't know if I would make a difference, but I did know it was all I could do.

2:46 - I’m with you, I loathe people who just chuck rubbish around. I live in a beautiful country, as do you and I don’t understand why people think it’s fine to just ruin that. My kids never throw stuff on the street because on the couple of occasions they did when they were little they got told in no uncertain terms not to and so they learned. Why don’t people teach their kids?
Nothing brings the satisfaction of working in filth and corruption only to see it cleansed by the free flowing virtue of an unblocked pipe, love your work ethic and your attitude Bruce.

G'day, Mate! I'm currently in the snow capped Catskill Mountains of NY, USA. I was an exchange officer w/ the Royal Australian Army back in 2004-5. I was leaving the dentists office on Lavarack Barracks, Townsville, and saw a digger walking in an absolute monsoon. I pulled up to him and asked him to get in my car. He glanced at me and replied, "Aw, it's just a bit of water. I'm right, Mate." You Aussies love the wet!
Thanks for your story about being here in oz. We think you guys are pretty rad too, and have a funny accent which makes as laugh and want to hear you talk more so we can have a chuckle.
"Raising awareness about how much of a dickhead you are when you throw rubbish out your car windows" That should be a slogan, Bruce. There should be tee shirts and and beer coozies and a telethon and a "We Are The World"-type music release. Thanks for clearing that drain, mate. And as always thanks for a fun video.
Shopping center rubbish couldn't possibly be from over filled skip bins. Granted the fast food crap is from ignorant A-holes but cardboard boxes or plastic bags NO LONGER SUPPLIED to shoppers. This definitely the center's problem not helped by local fast food outlet rubish.

Watching from Australia in 2024. You bloody beaut! Thank you so much. I do my little bit picking up other’s rubbish from footpaths and depositing in the next rubbish bin down the street, but I can tell you things are SO much better than the 70’s and 80’s. There’s a lot more responsible people like you around than the drongos of the past.
I do the same walking my dog and always pick up plastic bottles, drinks cans and glass bottles on a walkway beside the road. I wonder how people have been raised as there is a rubbish bin close by but they always dump it on the grass beside the path! My pet hate is litter!

Great Job!!! We have had a deposit system for one-way packaging in Germany since 2005. It was met with fierce resistance from the public at the time, but now you hardly find any bottles or cans in public. If someone throws something away, someone will take it away, as the deposit is very high at up to 0.25 euros. The reason for the introduction of the deposit was not the blockage of the water drains (we have a different system in Germany), but the extraction of raw materials, recycling and environmental protection. With this video, such a deposit would also make sense for you 😉😂

@@bartbuckel6714wrong convention ace. You know it. By the way, your boy didn't do so well in the first 2024 debate, and he's the best you've got! 😴 It's not a coincidence the azz is the symbol of the American Demoncratic party.
"If I don't do it, no one will." This is the attitude you need to make a difference, no matter how small. Public shaming about littering is not a bad thing if it works. Keep up the good, mate.
As singer Kris Kristofferson responded to a question about a political engagement: I didn't know if I would make a difference, but I did know it was all I could do.
I'd been lectured by a neighbour about how littering was bad as a young child, but what completely changed my attitude was seeing my headteacher going around the playground picking up rubbish himself. The humility made me realise that it's not just an artifice, that regardless of your station you can make the environment look better.
We feed community cats here in New Orleans, all the volunteers have that exact same, "Hey guys, if we don't do it...". And people like this are what I call the quiet army of angels.... Drains, litter, stray animals, food donations, whatever - just do it!!!
Better than the classic we hear from idiots. "If China isn't doing it why should we?"
I love how you can see the difference in the water level after this dude spends 20 minutes doing a good deed. What a Champ.
You're a legend bro, being the epitome of an Aussie doing something selflessly and lots of humor. Power to you! And thanks. 🙌✊
I just watched this to the end. I had to assess why i watched it.
It was his high energy narrative, his positive outlook, his sense of accomplishment for the common good.
Good On You Mate!
I just found this (2/17/2024), I’m so happy I found this channel. I can’t wait to watch other videos. Thank you for helping society (even though I’m in America) people like you make the world a better place. And I second a world holiday to shame and stop the litterbugs!
Proud to be an Aussie.
This video has over 10,000,000 views on Facebook! Wow! July 2023, anyone still watching here on RUclips? :)
Hey Bruce! This came up for me after I clicked subscribe 3 days ago. Love watching your work. This one I think as simple
As it is, is my fav. I hate littering, it’s messing up wildlife oceans and now drains!! Keep it up!! Cath from Herefordshire, 🇬🇧 😊
Thanks so much!!
This is ironically the video that got me to find your channel ages ago. But it was stolen and re-uploaded by someone else on Facebook so I found ya name in the video and came looking.
Dw we are here
often :)
Congrats on pleasing the RUclips algorithms! I watched the first time around, but was happy to watch again, because your positive attitude and obvious love of life is so uplifting. When you bring us along with you, you do more than unclog drains, you infuse us with your happiness and determination. Greetings from North Carolina, USA!
Seeing this makes me proud to be Australian! What an outstanding effort Bruce! Those unblocked pipes looked so satisfying. Thank you for doing your bit for society. Love from Brisbane! 🇦🇺
Am I sitting in a "spinny chair" my nice, warm, dry office watching and enjoying an entire video about cleaning a drain? Yes... yes, I am.
Greetings From The USA, mate!
Don't let boss catch you 😄
The most insightful view of modern western civilisation ...
😂😂
2:46 - I’m with you, I loathe people who just chuck rubbish around. I live in a beautiful country, as do you and I don’t understand why people think it’s fine to just ruin that. My kids never throw stuff on the street because on the couple of occasions they did when they were little they got told in no uncertain terms not to and so they learned. Why don’t people teach their kids?
Nothing brings the satisfaction of working in filth and corruption only to see it cleansed by the free flowing virtue of an unblocked pipe, love your work ethic and your attitude Bruce.
Thanks so much mate!
I am a School caretaker/janitor. There's something strangely satisfiying about unblocking drains. Great Video.
It like having a good shit😂
Whinging pom in the UK 🇬🇧 checking in my Ozzie friend 20th February 2024. I work highways and I often wish I was allowed to get the plunger and stick out on some of the crappy blocked drains we have! Thank you for clearing that drain, I bet the building owner was too shy to say thank you 😊
Jesus Christ, my favorite thing in the world is watching people do what they're passionate about. If they love doing it, no matter what it is, it becomes thrilling! Your energy is infectious. You're doing a great job. I'm here for it- subscribed ASAP
Heroic story. Guy sees problem and attempts to solve it through sheer determination and with some basic tools. Solves the issue and then cleans up to wrap up a nice ending. Well done
Good on you mate! You reminded me of one of my favorite sayings: "The next time you say 'Somebody ought to do something about that', just remember, you're somebody."
This video’s a cure for those suffering from attention deficit .... spectacular vid and couldn’t skip a bit of it
SUCH a satisfying video to watch. What a kind thing to do! I appreciate you. Too bad the owner wasn't actually there to say thank you.
This video healed my constipation, my stuck up mental health, and freed my energetic flow.
Wholesome.
Thank you mate. ❤
He fixed all kind of plumbing:) LOL 👍✨🌞🫖
bruh fr I was s also constipated until I saw this video
G'day, Mate! I'm currently in the snow capped Catskill Mountains of NY, USA. I was an exchange officer w/ the Royal Australian Army back in 2004-5. I was leaving the dentists office on Lavarack Barracks, Townsville, and saw a digger walking in an absolute monsoon. I pulled up to him and asked him to get in my car. He glanced at me and replied, "Aw, it's just a bit of water. I'm right, Mate." You Aussies love the wet!
He just did't want to wet your seat... when your saturated you can't get any wetter..
My home town. Lol.😊😊
Na mate it's not the rain or the heat us Aussies aren't afraid of a hard days work like our old mate bruce here
Thanks for your story about being here in oz. We think you guys are pretty rad too, and have a funny accent which makes as laugh and want to hear you talk more so we can have a chuckle.
People like you are the reason there's still good in the world, and I'm sure you've inspired people from all over the world to pick up their trash.
If more people had joy like you have, the world would be a much better place. Hope your life is long and joyful.
Bruce - you rock!
Easily the best example I've seen of "think globally, but act locally" !!
I totally get your sense of satisfaction in getting a drain working properly - beautiful to see - so awesome!
Well done!
Exactly! 👍🏼…and good for a bit of a laugh too. Thank you!
Who'd thought unblocking a drain would be this interesting!😆You're a Legend mate! 👍
I’ve just lost half an hour watching you clear drains…. I flabbergasted it so therapeutic
Wow how did I become addicted to an Australian plumber's drain videos?
Thanks for what you do -- Sincerely, an American Pump Station / Sewer Treatment Plant operator.
Cheers mate!!
@@DrainCleaningAUSTRALIA😂😂
There’s a reason I love Australian English/accents and this video is a prime example of that very reason.
Thanks from the other side of the globe, mate! People like you inspire change in this world, and I’m all here for it!
Aussies have some excellent insults, drongos lol. I haven't heard that since watching Home and Away 20 years ago!
Hi from northern beaches. NSW good on ya 🎉🤣👏👏👏👏 I also pick up rubbish when out walking my dog.
Finally someone who doesn't pine for the fanciful "Good old days".
I remember this when it first dropped…
And now its come up on my recommended 2 years later!
RUclips algorithm at its best! 👏👏👏
If Post10 had an Australian accent and lived on the other side of the world, then Bruce is exactly who comes to mind! Thanks for all your hard work and keep living the dream!
a snake would help though or something to grab the junk
I was thinking Australian post10
Post 10 doesn't seem to bother with urban roads and car parks any more. He's too busy with beavers.
@Pwecko most of the areas he used to go to have actually improved and fixed there drainage.
Specifically because they saw his videos. Bad news us, but good news for his community.
@@JMEAUS22 You're right. I miss those early videos.
So much enthusiasm for such a seemingly simple task, but i understand how important drain systems are, doesn't take much to cause a clog in a drain that size. Hello from the US
I lived in Australia for nearly 4 years with my husband's work. The best time of my life. We lived in Morley W.A. The accent and some of your expression brought it all.home to.me. Thank you. You made an old lady very happy
This looks like Dog Swamp which is only about a 10 minute drive from Morley
I had no idea how much I needed this video in my life. Clear across the world in Pennsylvania, USA, and a guy cleaning a random drain pipe in the pouring rain was the uplifting mood booster I needed. He's so cheerful and determined that I absolutely could have watched this for an hour. These are the kind of humans that make this world happy and better. Thank you to the RUclips algorhythm. And keep on keeping on, mate! ❤
Thank you! ❤️
I absolutely love the Australian banter with himself.
Watching from Nashville, Tennessee. Post 10 would be proud of you. He is THE man to unplug drains in the USA.
I can't believe that I'm sitting here on a Sunday afternoon watching someone unplug a drain...
half of the world away from me. Great job! Isn't it nice that your reward is a good feeling at the end of the job. Money can't buy that kind of feeling. Hello from USA
This was the first DCA video I ever saw (mid-2024) and now I’m a HUGE fan (western USA)! Bruce, Bruce, thanks for the entertaining content and giving us a peek at life down under. Maybe one day you’ll treat us with a look at your face but until then we remain loyal watchers!
Checking in from Sweden, February 16 2024. Considering I watch a lot of magnet fishing, free overgrown lawn clearing and carpet cleaning videos I shouldn't be surprised I ended up here. Guess I'll get flooded by these videos now. (Pun intended) Love hearing the accent too! Subscribed and will now probably binge a bunch of these videos 😅 Who needs sleep right?

Your commentary makes your videos stand out from the rest. G'day from an Irish bloke transplanted to the USA. You're hilarious! And I love the message about litter louts. Excellent stuff!

I have been bingeing since.

Never thought I'd watch some bloke unblock drains, but after watching fellas cut grass, why the heck not. Greetings from 🇬🇧
Yeah, me too. I watch Tim the mower guy and the 3 guys doing the RIDICULOUS stuff. Oh, don't forget the SLOMOGUYS.
Another Feb 2024 viewer from Australia! Love your attitude, joy for the job and I completely agree about littering. Awful! Thank you for providing this service. to help those around you.
Nice job, Brucie. And thanks for the entertaining narration. I agree with your sentiments about people trashing their neighborhoods. We have a beautiful world and should respect it and those who live on it.
legend - everyone needs a bloke like that in the community.
Drain design should be different.
That bloke is you. You see it wrong fix it. Gov is the most incompetent authority
no. Everyone in the community should be better citizens.
I can't explain it, but watching clogged drains flow again is like watching fire, mesmerizing. Great job out there, yours is a real service to the community.
I've never understood why watching drain unclogging is ASMR but its entertaining all the same. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers!
If you're in for the long haul so am I. I am from the UK. I've watched The Drain Unblockers which is the UK equivalent of what you do. This is my second video I've watched from you.. You have way more personality than The Drain Unblockers, I am going to continue watching your vids. I am disabled, I do not work, so I am here to watch EVERY video you've done. I am going through the movie marathon playlist currently :)
Hello mate! Great to hear from you! I really appreciate your support!! Thank you!!!
You can still get a job if you're disabled mate. There loads of work from home stuff these days. Don't sit around all day watching other people graft to make yourself feel better.
@@LawrenceTimme Take a part of your own advice and don't sit around all day being a jerk in the comments to make yourself feel better.
You read that as being a jerk? The guy was being supportive... @mcu6023

Thank-you for your service to your local community. Not everyone takes the time to do this sort of thing. Good thing you're a bloody legend!
I love videos like these, especially at 3 in the morning
Can't believe how satisfying it was to watch your video (17/2/24) - thank you for your service!
Well done Bruce! I really enjoyed watching you clear the drain and how much effort you put into it. Thanks for cleaning our drains, I just hope others who are the litter bugs are watching this. Thank you too for disgarding the cans, plastic, freddo wraper and other junk! A job well done!!

The amount of satisfaction u get from clearing blockages like this is so rewarding, glad im not the only weirdo that does this..i could watch these all day.nice one mate!😎👊🏼
Watching in 2024! I love your passion against littering! I was raised to leave the world cleaner than I found it. My dad was a biology teacher and felt just as strongly as you do about protecting our earth. (I watched this video because of your location-I am enamored of the Aussie accent!). Hi, from a new subscriber in Brownsville, Texas, USA.
I have the same ethos. I recycle all things possible, pick up litter where possible, and no longer contribute to the disgusting and planet ruining animal agriculture industry...
Thanks mate for the awesome job doing for the community, Well Done
This was the most excited I've been in about a week waiting for that drain to be set free!!!
and the Aussie accent sure doesn't hurt ....
I love your enthusiasm Bruce. And I most definitely wouldn't want to be anywhere else but there until the water flows ❤

Late but I'm here watching your effort keeping the drains flowing freely. Greetings from Norway.
I'm sorry about that can. I will not do it again, and I will teach others not to litter their rubbish
You’re the legend mate! You’re an absolute star❤ people can be absolute tramps and it’s disgusting! Continue the good work and best wishes from the UK❤😁
I have never:
Littered
spit
or thrown a cigarette butt
or gum
on the floor.
And I'm 56.
Try it sometime.... litterbugs.
This is awesome! I’m glad I didn’t get to bed. I am in disbelief that I could not stop watching a freaking drain cleaning video. The commentary is absolutely spot on! No more litterbugs🤬
With this video, such a deposit would also make sense for you 😉😂
You do great work and have a wonderful public service attitude. This video should be viewed all around the world to deter littering.
Absolutely living the dream from Shropshire in the United Kingdom. Keep doing what you are doing. Bruce you are a drain cleaning legend g
