Came to say the same. Seems like they used that restroom at least twice while he was there which like.... I get it...its a long job and you cant always wait but idk, Id go to a neighbors or something if I knew someone was actively plunging that very line while Im shitting in it.
I don't know why youtube recommended me this at 2AM... but I'm glad they did. Drain cleaning is always satisfying, but the commentary is really what made this a fun watch.

Luckily, Dr. Bruce wears many hats. As a botany enthusiast, Bruce used tremendous skill to remove a small forest from the customer's sewer. Amazing work, Dr. Bruce!

Bruce I know what you mean when you say those clay pipes are tree roots' heaven. Had my yard dug up some years ago and replaced the clay pipes. Plumber left 6 feet of clay pipe and I had to blast a huge root ball. Now when I hire someone, I watch their every move to ensure they are doing what I am paying them to do. Keep it going the Amazing Bruce.

Got to give you credit for taking that bit of extra effort. My brother needed a plumber last year and the guy (UK) couldn't find the stopcock in the house....took me 10 minutes and a third-half of that was locating the keys to the garage as my brother wasn't there.
Shout out from San Antonio, Texas what a coincidence you mention said state's chainsaw massacre! I've said before your videos are just an inspiration to a fellow drain cleaner/plumber! I heard others say we don't clean up after ourselves in the USA, but I assure we here in Texas clean our own messes 💪🧹🧼

Happy Saturday from New Jersey, Bruce!! Currently recovering from a motor vehicle accident that happened yesterday morning in Pennsylvania while I was on my way to my job to install stairlifts. My left arm, left shoulder, and upper back all are hurting. Vehicle is about totaled.
Other guy was at fault and charged with running a red light and driving without a license. His vehicle was a company truck so he probably lost his job.

It's interesting how plumbing systems are structured in other places. Here in western Canada where I live, water lines are buried under the house foundations; roughly nine feet below the surface as it isn't unusual to get winter temperatures of -20 to -30 degrees C.
That's what I was thinking. Drain pipes in the open air? Wait, it works if it never freezes.
This video shows the most haphazart waste water management system i have ever seen. It's one step up from just throwing buckets of sewage out of your window and into an open sewer grate

Bruce you legend, I don't know why RUclips's algorithm slapped your videos in my recommendations but here we are with me watching too many clogged drains and you being an all round great guy. So a hello from the east coast of Canada and you've got yourself another member of the Drain Cleaning Australia family.
My workplace needed you this week! The place was built in 1928 and has been held back for 2 decades for heritage listing/demolition for all that time! In the last 5 years the side of the factory has slid about 5cm to one side so all floors, walls, door frames and I assume sewer piping as the shitter gets blocked up every 4 to 6 months the last 2 years or so! Doesn't help there is a horrible pepper tree invasive weed of a tree growing on the other side of the block nearby enough to cause issues! We are in Freo, shoot me your deets if you are up for a challenge next time it blocks up, it would be a bluddy GREAT video, I tell you! Especially with all our shenanigans that you will walk past with the gopro! I tried looking for you, but don't know your business name so can't contact you, plus your apprentices might show up...lol It is planned for demolition in June or July 2024....shame though with the history in this place and what I have literally seen under the floorboards in the office!!! Old stuff from the 1950s to 1970s!!! Like a time capsule down there, Front end of an old car from the 1930s or 40s ffs!!!!

That was one of your best jobs yet. Pity your viewers can't post pics of some of their epic struggles. A few years ago, I had an onsite sewage disposal tank (as in 4 metres long x 1.5 metres across x 2 metres? deep) so full of roots that my eastern states version of you had to get an excavator in to dig them all out. They did it without damaging anything. The same bloke has also performed some other miracles, which is why I appreciate the efforts of professional plumbers. You and your equally competent colleagues rock and it's so satisfying for us to be able to witness the results. Onya Bruce!

Enjoyed the video and your commentary. One thing that's interesting is the different building standards for drainage plumbing Down Under compared to here in the States. I'm neither a plumber nor a civil engineer, but i find it interesting. I also find the history of drainage pipes interesting. From about 1860, sewage lines in the States used a type of material called Orangeburg pipe, made from layers of wood pulp and pitch. Clay pipe came into use for new construction after about 1910, but there was still plenty of the old Orangeburg pipe around. PVC pipe started being used in new construction in about 1970, and by 1980 PVC had completely displaced clay pipe. Talking a bit about the types of pipe used for this purpose down Under might be an interesting tidbit you could add to your videos. Cheers for this one!
G'day! Happy draining! And greetings from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I had a backup on my apartment on 33rd floor... turned out they used way to small pipes with two newly installed toilets. So one day, and one flush too many weeks of backup came back up the pipes. It was solved quickly but man was a pain. The world would be a worse place without experts like you saving us. your videos a lot, you're a bloody legend!
