Underwater MONSTER Blocking This Lake Drain! Full Release of Water.

- With all the storms and strong wind lately this drain was PACKED with branches and leaves....AND some massive logs. It didn't take me long to unclog it but it sure was satisfying to get it unclogged and flowing again.

I almost thought Post 10 aged for a second. 😆 🤣 😂
Poor post 10 got competition
This is what post10 will look like in the year 2064
This guy is two generations before, Post 08.
@@NEStalgia1985 😂 not really the guy does yard work lawn mower.
No doubt, we wouldn't be watching this and others if it were not for the knowledge @Post 10 has shared for culverts. He has shared his true passion before many in the community including myself, knew that cleaning culverts was even a thing. But hey, it really is calming to watch people doing what they enjoy! Shows integrity in people good people.. a lot out there including this gentleman!
It's nice that these types of videos give others confidence to step in and help where they can.
As you said: 'Somebody's got to do it". Great work that serves a good purpose.
Thanks Doc!
I would do that job all day, everyday.

You, sir, are amazing. Love how you tackled this blockage. I had never seen a big, caged lake drain before. Bravo, you bear of a man!
@@elainemurphy8793 Ha, thanks a lot! I appreciate it.
Thank you for helping clear the drainage area.
I am astonished that I am happy watching you clean out this drain. You are more interesting than most stuff on here 👍👍. Not high speed talking or loud music
@@cawiltu That's nice, thank you!
How satisfying. Fun to watch. Take care. As a Floridian, I kept expecting snakes and gators.
That's a healthy pond with all those critters. 😍😍
enjoyed watching you do this great work - from Northern Ireland, UK
Good Job, 👍 You are a Good Samaritan!! Bless You ! 😊
I love These videos from the lake. Thanks for sharing it with us. 😍👍🏼🐸
Great job done there you are so kind to fix that drain. God bless.
Thanks Dyana!
Hello from Perth, Western Australia. I love these unclogging videos. You do a great job.
@@helenthorpe8005 Thank you Helen!
Great job done. Drain working as it should 👍
Post 10 has started a great trend. Not enough people do these kinds of deeds
Man a super clog. Glad you are fixing it. Coming to you from Chattanooga TN
Hey man, alright......TN! That's a beautiful state!
A very nice piece of work on a very satisfying endeavor. Loved the classical music buildup with the flying bugs dancing away at waters edge. Watched one of them at about the 21 min mark stubbornly hold on to the twig as the water rose. A lovely day and i could just smell the air around there. This is the sort of stuff i wanna do as a retirement hobby. Thanks man!
Great job! I love the music at the end. Gratitude and blessings from Canada. 🙏❤
Thank you Anna!
Hey man. Great update. I wish you will cut an opening on the side of drain. Making it so much easier to unclog. Taking out 1 bar will be big difference. Pretty sure land lady will be ok with that. Still can't figure out why it is divided by a sheet metal. Cheers man. Always a relaxing one to watch. 👊👍💪👊☺️
I was wondering too. I think it is to keep long, large limbs from going down the drain. A longer log would float through the openings but if it strikes something that keeps it from tipping over the edge, it won't have the opportunity to flip over and lodge either in or across the drain? Just my guess....👍
@@Doxymeister Good analysis man. Thank you
The sheet metal is there to keep the water from swirling and eroding the dam when it is flowing very full. Like your bathtub drain X100.
@@Doxymeister you are right
God bless you sir, someone has to do it.
I unclogged 15 street drains yesterday because they were very clogged with debris.
Wicked awesome, it didn't take long to get flowing at all ! Excellent job! 😊😊😊
Awesome job 👍🏻👏🏻✅⭐️🫵🏼

Great job on cleaning this up 🙌🙌🙌
Well done, from Northampton, England

Loved the dramatic music at the end .... quite apt🤣Peace out!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
You Know I Stumbled on To This, And I Loved Watching You Get The Water Back To Running. It Was Very Relaxing Who Would Have Thought But It Really Was. Thank You.
Thanks Lakota!
That was very fun to watch!!
You did an absolutely fantastic job. I hope you got outta there tick free!
Haha, thank you. And yes, no ticks! 😊
Very interesting!! Kudos to you for trying to help. We are concerned that this drainage "stystem" has a partial opening that adventurous youngsters might fall into? ... Wondering what your thoughts are about that?? Blessings and hope this goes well for you 🙏
Thanks so much for helping out the environment. ❤
Mate get some chest waders those things are potentially lethal if you slip over . Regards Chris Bailey
Great job sir! Enjoyed watching your video. Thank you.
Thanks Karen!
Right on, brother! That pond needs a serious clean. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that appreciate what you're doing in the neighborhood. BTW who is responsible for the pond? Residents? City?
Good works, as always!🤗
An old couple owns it. Their son gets out when he can to help but I bet he doesn't mind me doing it.
@@UpNorthMowingDude I really hope you got permission to do it. I'm sorry to say in todays litigious society this could be an issue. I have a pond that I've had to chase people away who "wanted to help" by "unclogging" the overflow. However my insurance will not cover someone who comes out and gets hurt. And yes, people have trespassed on my property, got hurt, and sued me. Now in my case I have no trespassing signs posted everywhere. But I still have to chase people away who watch videos like this one and think it is OK to go onto someone else's property to "help out". Look, I'm not saying dont try and help someone, but get permission FIRST. Otherwise someone may get hurt or worse in legal trouble.
@@AtomicSneeze1 I have permission.
watch the rock in the middle of the downstream pool and you realize that the water level is rising because outflow in that pool is also partially blocked
Not partially blocked it's just slow moving on that end.
looks like fun! :) i have done some storm drains in my neighborhood after a bad rain, was a risk of flooding a street that would cause a detour.
Good job done!
Well, well, well, three holes in the ground.😅 big , high boots at the ready
It’s flowing really good now. Your such a nice guy to do that
Thank you Kay!
Good job-Well done ‼️‼️

Great Job. Michigan , USA.
I love Michigan! My real home.
This drain is the achievement of some really stellar minds, probably finished dead last in their class! That Bullfrog has more sense than whoever designed that drain!!😮 Great job!!
I am a Bullfrog and object to that stereotypical comment 😂
Please explain? Btw, I didn’t design it.
What’s the problem with it? I assume you could do better?
Looks like there are a lot of people that like "Underwater MONSTERS!" LOL Fun video :-)
Wonderful job ❤ I learned something new!!
What a great job!
Thank you!
Were does the water drain to??an if you throwing twigs an stuff down to, wont it block were ever it's going??😊
Under the road and into a creek.
"Jeramia was a bullfrog .... was a good friend of mine"🎤🎤🎵🎵What song did this lyric come from?
Joy to the World by Three Dog Night 1971. I loved this song when I was a little kid. Still do! I was 5 when it came out.
Well done.. very satisfying, I'm a new subscriber from Waterford MI 👋🎉😎
@@SueLaLone I grew up in Waterford.
Good job my friend, wonderful work!
Im guessing the metal sheet is there to make sure a log that is too long going through the "maintenance hole" and down the pipe, blocking the bend at the bottom? It would be stopped by the sheet? Thats the only reason i can think of for the sheet
It's as good an explanation as any.
@@UpNorthMowingDude great video btw and subd

Well great, thanks!
First time here from the uk, really enjoyed this video, a job well done
Thank you Linda, I appreciate it. I JUST got back from unclogging this one again. We've had flooding over here so we have a lot of water to deal with. Welcome!!
You sir are one brave dude! I'm not sure most 20 year olds would be willing and/or able to clamber down that steep grade AND then know how to unclog that thang! You've helped the whole area - stagnant water breeds mosquitoes (& the bullfrog won't get too fat!) It's terrific that you got it sorted out - great job!
Haha! Thank you Teresa!
How long have you been doing this kind of thing?
It can be fun doing this kind of stuff when your a kid, it turns into work when you become an adult.
Unclogging for about 2 yrs and mowing for 1. I feel every year of my age when I do it. 😁 I tell myself it's keeping me young but I think I'm a liar.
Post 10, approved!
Thanks Brian. And I never even said "beavers" once. It's a record!!😂
Great job. Glad you didn't slip and sit down in the water, lol. I love the sound and sight of water flowing. Where does the water go from where it came out? Just an overflow spot? I was surprised you didn't try to move that tree that separated one side of the trap from the other side. Unless you already know that it is too heavy or massive. This is another thing I want to put on my bucket list. I used to love following water to the gutters when I was a kid in Milwaukee. I would take a stick and push the leaves away. But I need womens waders now. Only ditches where I live now. Somehow they never seriously clog. I will have to find a creek.
On the exit side the water just flows down a little creek. It winds back and forth through the woods. I've only walked about 50 yards back so not sure where all it goes after that. This is fun to do.
Nice job! Do you know what the purpose of the corrugated metal sheet is? I couldn't figure it out.
I’ve watched a few videos with them in, nobody explain why it’s there
I really don't know. Maybe it minimizes water flow on that side so it doesn't erode the shoreline.
Question: why didn't you remove the big log by the drain? And what is the purpose of the piece of metal in the middle of the drain?
@@carolhensley-c2l Log is there for standing on, not sure about the corrugated.
The Dude abides, keep up the good work.
Excellent unclogging!
Thanks Alan!
Great job!!

I loved watching the footage at the end! Seeing the large rock "shrinking" as the water got deeper was so cool. I also like that you wear gloves while clearing the debris. I'm always worried about what lurks in the water that could harm those cleaning up our waterways.
Thank you. Yeah no wildlife could hurt me in these waters but I could get poked by a stick or something. Those are minor. 😁 Thank you.
