The documentary is one long compilation of archival interviews edited together.. basically a RUclips mashup but with a bit of budget behind it, and in better than crap quality.
Yeah but it was still a pretty good documentary! I rather have heard Frank talk the whole time then someone who knew him for 30seconds acting like he was his long time friend.
Perfect description! I was really disappointed by the movie. Every interview bit was ALREADY available on youtube. Let's hope the upcoming "Who the F*@k is Frank Zappa?" by Alex Winter will be better!
I think, and this is my opinion, and I could be wrong, it might have been made for people as an introductory to Zappa.🤷♀

Moon is so beautiful. I don't know where she gets it from. Her dad had pretty good facial bone structure but her mom. Moon and Dweezil def got the talent and the looks. Double blessed and double cursed apparently. So sorry. Family totally sucks sometimes. Hang tight together. Dignity wins out in the end.

+Doug Steele seeing as how your age prohibits you from even being born during the era of The Mothers ,or being alive to see Frank in concert you'd obviously not be aware that Gail was a rabid socialist like yourself in her early years,in fact she turned back to socialism when Frank Died ,hid his will from the family and proceeded to follow the socialist mantra of taking from the haves to give to the have nots.
Fails socialist ethic drove her to actually repossess Frank's guitars collection he left to his son Dweezil and sell them so the 2 broke kids would have cash ,Gail used her pro socialist ideology to leave the 2 broke kids controlling interests in the Zappa trust after blowing millions of dweezil & moons inheritance supplying ahmet & Diva Zappa with cash because they didn't have careers ,the 2 talentless socialist kids now control the Zappa trust where they demand dweezil pays them a share of the money he earns touring 9 months a year while they do absolutely nothing .

Socialism destroyed the legacy of America's greatest composer ,left his family broke & in ruins ,then forced his legendary recording studio/mansion be sold at fire sale 50% off price so the 2 socialist kids could get their hands on $1.25 million each,now thanks to socialism the untalented slut lady gaga owns the Zapp a mansion studio & allows her friends to draw on the walls of the only recording studio as famous as Motown.

I don't know about Gail but Frank never hid from being a capitalist! He went to Prague in 89 to celebrate the fall of communism and help Czechs and Russians do BUSINESS with the USA. He even wrote about the benefits of capitalism in his book.
