The Ilum temple is also shown in the 2003 Clone Wars Cartoon. Yoda "convinces" Captain Tanaka to take him there while escorting Padme, C-3PO, and R2 out of danger of being captured. Yoda goes there to rescue Luminara and her Padawan from a squadron of droids. The temple is destroyed, but all the Jedi make it out of there alive and destroy all the droids.
In hindsight, the Jedi should have completely destroyed the Sith Shrine, instead of building on top of it. Whoever thought to build over the shrine instead of destroying it was a fool...
I think to when you are talking about canon stuff you should have a little canon logo in the corner of the screen the same when you ae talking about legends as well as sometimes I don't know if you are talking about canon or legends oh and btw wanna buy some death sticks???
He also asked for a legends one (which is there already), read the question. And why does he have to add one for canon if you know it's canon if it doesn't say legends. No need to be rude I'm just explaining to this guy whilst not making it necessary to do more editing on Star Wars Explained's part.
Where do I lack grammar skills? XD and is that seriously your comeback to people, to call their grammar out? That's weak. I don't lack comprehension skills because I answered both of his queries (regarding the canon and legends icons) whereas you only answered one. If anything it is you that lacks skills in that department. Let's see you make videos regarding star wars every day of this type of caliber whilst having a full-time job at the same time and do unnecessary editing, that you might honestly not need to waste precious time on. Then that's your fault for not looking at the screen and checking for info before asking, that's just stupid otherwise, it would've been a podcast. I can see the legends logo on a mobile device with relative ease, I don't see how you can't unless you are blind as a bat. And again man, be nice to others :)
You're right. It was mentioned as a Rebel base that was abandoned before the events of A New Hope. In the movie, Leia said that the Rebel base is on Dantooine to get the Empire to fire on a location other than Alderaan or Yavin 4, which, of course backfired, resulting in the destruction of Alderaan.
Fun fact about Ahch-To. They filmed it in Skellig Michael, an old monastery off the coast of my homeland Ireland. I think it's fitting the temple shares its location with an old monastery, the Jedi having a lot of a similarities to monks after all.
My favorite is Obroa-Skai temple/enclave. It is build next to biggest and greatest of Republic libraries and it is place where Consulars and ambasadors where trained :)
I guess that while technically a praxeum and not a temple, I was hoping to see the Chu'unthor mentioned. I loved that in legends there was a massive Jedi ship floating through the stars training Jedi. Definitely one of the cooler contributions from The Courtship of Princess Leia that never really got explored in other materials.
I think the sky temple could make a come back that one really sticks out to me as a temple that could easily be brought into canon and hold hella secrets if it is shielded from being found.
Suggestion for a video. Things that were made in the expanded universe that were brought in to the movies. Either during Lucas time with Star Wars or under Disney.
Darth Sidious Don't forget. Since you have a 4th apprentice Mara Jade, even Darth Maul is disliking this as well. Despite that he ain't your apprentice anymore (after what you did to his big brother in Mandalore), remember, he's still attached to your dark side :).
Maul's return mirrored Luke's fight with Vader at the end of ESB: Luke got his hand cut off, fell down a "bottomless" pit, and retuned to seek redemption for Vader. Maul got cut in half, fell down a "bottomless" pit, and returned to seek vengence on Obi-Wan.
I cant imagine this being the end of the list, not that i can think of any more lol. Theres just so much star wars material out there id be suprised if you realy named every single known temple/enclave/academy.
Can you please do a list on what ships the Republic used during the clone wars that includes the frigates and cargo/medical vessels as well as the star fighter's and capital ships as well.
Ron Kelley Legends is great, there are wonderful storys but there are too many superweapons and so much stuff. Lot of legends storys should be canon but not all. Canon is simpler and clearer. But the main thing is I'm in both. ;)
Is the Yavin 4 temple that see in Doctor Aphra not a jedi temple? Ps. I've been watching your channel for the past 4 mouths, really great stuff. I feel like you are one of the more accurate channels out there. So many of the Star Wars channels get lost in theories and opinions that it really drains out the fact of whats really canon but you put the facts of whats canon first. Thank you!
Q and A question here Where do you think Thrawn ended up after the Pergil took the Chimera? What will this mean for his new book? Also, I saw a really cool theory on Reddit that suggested that since we didn't see any debris from the seventh fleet, the Pergil could have jumped Palleon and co to hyperspace as well. Especially since we didn't see any debris. Do you think this has any merit?
Great video, as usual! Now I know it's neither temple or academy, but I'd give an honorable mention to the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan. A very strong nexus in the Force and all that :-)
Great video! The only thing I had a problem with was the pronunciation of Telos IV... it's said with a long "ee" - not short, as portrayed by both Knights of the Old Republic games that introduced it to the universe. :)
@@bullrun2772 Weirdly demanding of a year-old youtube comment on an even older video. Especially when the example is litterally just "Ach-to". Like think about what's missing for like 2 seconds.
I also remember that in the star wars old republic mmo there was like a special jedi temple I guess on Corellia that housed the so called 'green jedi' if I remember they are just jedi that are all from Corellia and adopted green as a symbol that they were from Corellia (green is in the flag or something). Been a while since I was in that part of the game so just going off of memory :D
First you have a every star destroyer type in legends and Canon video? Also do you have a video detailing the evolution of the empire in revenge of the sith to the empire in New hope?
@ Star Wars explained: please explain this: What vehicles were all the bounty hunters from TESB flying when they all met up on the Super Star Destroyer?
For me the one on Coursant is my favourite. Although i hoped they would take it back after the Battle of Endor. I hope we see it as a Jedi Temple again in TLJ! :-) :-)
A couple of videos ago you said that the Lego TV shows were canon but told in a comical way. Does this mean that the Freemakers Adventures are canon too? In a new season this year Quarrie from Rebels will appear so I am not sure what to think.
Every Sith Temple in Star Wars Canon and Legends :)
This is really cool.
Great video as usual Alex
Awesome video!!
In hindsight, the Jedi should have completely destroyed the Sith Shrine, instead of building on top of it. Whoever thought to build over the shrine instead of destroying it was a fool...
I believe the sacking of coruscants temple is now cannon as it and malgus's journal are in the book of sith feel free to prove me otherwise though.
Or maybe it was just bad writing from Dave Filoni.
I like it when SW channels like this mention their source and whether their information is canon, fanon, or EU. Keep up the good work!
I've been writing a fan fiction and this was super helpful for it Thank you!
Can we have a video on every Sith temple in canon and legends? :)
Legends is best
Make Revan canon again
Andree Castillo yes
Andree Castillo he's getting their we've established that the Jedi-mandalorian war is canon in rebels.
patience, my young padawan. I'm sure he'll be brought back in due time
Yes !!!!
Smokescreen 1138 that doesn't really mean that he's going to get canon
Could you do a video on the different Jedi fighting styles?
He already has. It was one of his earlier videos as a collaboration with Jensaarai1.
Finally, a video that's not less than 5 minutes even though it's list. I appreciate combining both the old and new EU.
Do a video on sith temples!
Liked this one
I love Star Wars
So much work went into this... Thank you. Nobody makes in-depth videos like you do on the subject.
You forgot one Alex, the real most obvious one, The Temple of Doom. XD lol
That's a Sith temple if anything lol
Star Wars Explained: :) lol
I think to when you are talking about canon stuff you should have a little canon logo in the corner of the screen the same when you ae talking about legends as well as sometimes I don't know if you are talking about canon or legends oh and btw
wanna buy some death sticks???
He does, when it's canon then there doesn't show anything but if it is legends it says so on screen bottom left. 4:09 for example
He also asked for a legends one (which is there already), read the question. And why does he have to add one for canon if you know it's canon if it doesn't say legends. SUPERSTORM owen yea
SUPERSTORM owen no he should have some ships with eith some extra cannons on the sides
3:59 Ahh,here we go with the good stuff.
Nice one Alex :)
Dantooine is mentioned in A New Hope.
You're right. It was mentioned as a Rebel base that was abandoned before the events of A New Hope. In the movie, Leia said that the Rebel base is on Dantooine to get the Empire to fire on a location other than Alderaan or Yavin 4, which, of course backfired, resulting in the destruction of Alderaan.
exellent research!
That was awesome😀! Have you done a vid about Sith temples as well?
Raxus Prime being mentioned gave me ptsd from being one shot by Kazdon Paratus
Do a video on the history of korriban or dromund kaas
Great video. Would love to see Sith Temples coverage next
Fun fact about Ahch-To. They filmed it in Skellig Michael, an old monastery off the coast of my homeland Ireland. I think it's fitting the temple shares its location with an old monastery, the Jedi having a lot of a similarities to monks after all.
Hey Alex , wasn't there a temple on Chandrila
Shubhankar Joshi yes
it was shown in JEDI KNIGHT JEDI ACADEMY
That was more of a tomb than a temple.
@@jamesdunn7954
So was the one he mentioned of Rhen Var
Looking back at these videos and talking to a friend about what will change with the high Republic
EXCELLENT, thanks for sharing the info.
My favorite is Obroa-Skai temple/enclave. It is build next to biggest and greatest of Republic libraries and it is place where Consulars and ambasadors where trained :)
great video I never new there was so many Jedi temples.
I guess that while technically a praxeum and not a temple, I was hoping to see the Chu'unthor mentioned. I loved that in legends there was a massive Jedi ship floating through the stars training Jedi. Great video!!! My favorite Jedi temple are the ones on Jedha, Coruscant, and Tython.
do a video on the Clone wars vs Clone wars! 2003 vs the new series
Trying to make a fan film that takes place in a Jedi temple but it’s really hard to find one that exists in the right time
do a video on all Rebellion bases. or Imperial bases.
I think the sky temple could make a come back that one really sticks out to me as a temple that could easily be brought into canon and hold hella secrets if it is shielded from being found.
You should make a video listing all the major galactic wars.
Suggestion for a video. Things that were made in the expanded universe that were brought in to the movies. Either during Lucas time with Star Wars or under Disney.
In star wars resistance a new temple was discoverd
NOTIFICATION SQUAD UNLEASH!! Btw Star wars Explain can you make a Entire List of Infected Worlds of the Rackghoul Plague on the Old Republic Era
I remember Rhen Var was also on the original Star Wars Battlefront 1 game
Sidious disliked this
yea
Darth Sidious Don't forget. Since you have a 4th apprentice Mara Jade, even Darth Maul is disliking this as well. Despite that he ain't your apprentice anymore (after what you did to his big brother in Mandalore), remember, he's still attached to your dark side :).
LeinadTM As well as 27 others
Ironic. This comment has 66 likes
Actually he could use the information in the video
Maul's return mirrored Luke's fight with Vader at the end of ESB: Luke got his hand cut off, fell down a "bottomless" pit, and retuned to seek redemption for Vader. Maul got cut in half, fell down a "bottomless" pit, and returned to seek vengence on Obi-Wan.
on the next video do every sith temple canon vs legends
i am requesting one just like this but sith or dark jedi temples
I cant imagine this being the end of the list, not that i can think of any more lol. Theres just so much star wars material out there id be suprised if you realy named every single known temple/enclave/academy.
Can you please do a list on what ships the Republic used during the clone wars that includes the frigates and cargo/medical vessels as well as the star fighter's and capital ships as well.
Question, which do you think is better, Legends or Canon?
Ron Kelley legends. hands down
Legends.
Ron Kelley Legends is great, there are wonderful storys but there are too many superweapons and so much stuff. Lot of legends storys should be canon but not all. Canon is simpler and clearer.
But the main thing is I'm in both. ;)
So far in the new canon it seems they are to afraid to leave the original trilogy era and the stuff they do release is very derivative.
Ross Holt Yes. I hope 'The last Jedi' has a new story. Not something we already know. When not, why did they split SW in legends and canon?
Is the Yavin 4 temple that see in Doctor Aphra not a jedi temple?
Ps. I've been watching your channel for the past 4 mouths, really great stuff. I feel like you are one of the more accurate channels out there. So many of the Star Wars channels get lost in theories and opinions that it really drains out the fact of whats really canon but you put the facts of whats canon first. Thank you!
please do sith temples next like malachor and stuff :)))))))
Q and A question here
Where do you think Thrawn ended up after the Pergil took the Chimera? What will this mean for his new book? Also, I saw a really cool theory on Reddit that suggested that since we didn't see any debris from the seventh fleet, the Pergil could have jumped Palleon and co to hyperspace as well. Especially since we didn't see any debris. Do you think this has any merit?
Could you do a video about the hyperspace routes??
Do every Sith temple.
Woah I'm gone for a few months and you start making videos longer than one minute
Can do a video on hyperspace disturbance
i hear of outbound flight
what about the Chu'unthor? it was a Jedi starship that essentially was a mobile temple until it was destroyed by the night sisters on Dathomir.
Great video, as usual!
Now I know it's neither temple or academy, but I'd give an honorable mention to the Valley of the Jedi on Ruusan. A very strong nexus in the Force and all that :-)
There was one on Dathomir? Interesting.
Tython was rumored as one of the Planets who had the first Jedi Temple in Canon.
Can you please make a video about Joker Squad?
I really want to know about those guys, they look so freaking cool
Great video! The only thing I had a problem with was the pronunciation of Telos IV... it's said with a long "ee" - not short, as portrayed by both Knights of the Old Republic games that introduced it to the universe. :)
This video, or at least its section on canon, is one that would noticably benefit from the rest of the Sequel Trilogy.
Okay why? Explain/back up your point/show evidence
@@bullrun2772 Weirdly demanding of a year-old youtube comment on an even older video. Especially when the example is litterally just "Ach-to". Like think about what's missing for like 2 seconds.
question: if you could make one piece of canon material legends, what would it be?
Caseblaze Like 90% of It
Can You make a video about Sith Temple for Legends and Canon?
Thanks
I really like Ambria because of the history and Master Thon was pretty freakin' awesome.
Can you do a video on the Green Jedi, or mix it in with a video about Corellia
First you have a every star destroyer type in legends and Canon video? Also do you have a video detailing the evolution of the empire in revenge of the sith to the empire in New hope?
Would you do video on the Green Jedi from legends and how they differ from the normal jedi?
And now every sith temple/base?
gotta love typhon and its massive holocron in the center, just floating there.
I have a legends question, how far does the timeline go in the future? Like what year aby does it stop?
139 ABY
Legends timeline goes all the way to 140 ABY (After the Battle of Yavin).
Luke Menlove legends and the force awakens has nothing to do with each other
Question is Ahch-to and Tython the same or different planets?
How about the space-faring academy that crash landed on Dathomir (or are you counting it as the the Dathomir reference in the wrap up)?
@ Star Wars explained: please explain this: What vehicles were all the bounty hunters from TESB flying when they all met up on the Super Star Destroyer?
The HQ of the Order on Coruscant is my favorite.
For me the one on Coursant is my favourite. Although i hoped they would take it back after the Battle of Endor. I hope we see it as a Jedi Temple again in TLJ! :-) :-)
What do you think of The Valley of the jedi in Jedi Knight Dark Forces II?
1:26 Hey look, it's the Wall.
Should Chu'unthor (spelling?) be mentioned here? It was featured in the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels as a mobile temple.
Why do you sometimes remove the text from speech bubbles? To avoid spoilers?
Can you do a sith version of this video?
Maz Kanata's castle seems very similar to the Coruscant temple, architecturally speaking, and I've always wondered if there's some history there.
Why is not Yavin 4 canon?
Rares Barbuceanu because in canon it isn't a temple as far as we know
Sebastian Gomez Oo..Thanks.
Rares Barbuceanu because it is a massassi temple, according to canon the massassi were affiliated with a sith cult
Rares Barbuceanu it was more sith like in canon while in legends jedi
Yavin 4 don't have Jedi temples. The temples on Yavin are Massasi Temple in Canon and Legends!
6:18 Taivas? As in 'heaven' or 'sky' in finnish? XD
In legends the yavin 4 great Massasi temple is a SITH temple And the massasi are a species made. Using sith alchemy . They are about 5 meters tall.
Do your picks for the top 10 Star Wars species in canon
can you do a review on I, jedi by Michael Stackpole?
How dare you put the Green Jedi Enclave on Corellia as a foot note?!?!?!
There was so much lore to it built into STAR WARS: The Old Republic
There was one on Chandrilla in Jedi knight 2 on x box
Shelter from NJO. It's was in the old Maw Installation
A couple of videos ago you said that the Lego TV shows were canon but told in a comical way. Does this mean that the Freemakers Adventures are canon too? In a new season this year Quarrie from Rebels will appear so I am not sure what to think.
Yay notification squad.
what about the ashas ree temple ? did i miss that one
lol "in universe scholars".... You just gave validity to teenage subway workers to call themselves "sandwich artist". lol best joke in this video
that junkyard in force unleashed
can you do a video on carillion green jedi
Can anyone tell me how the comic where Luke is on Vrogas Vas is called?
