Hey I thought I'd comment this here to see if you think this idea has any merit. I think that one of the reasons that Anakin was so powerful in the light side of the force, was also because of his emotions. When he leans into his fear and anger it's obviously the dark side, but when he's thinking of the people hes helping and his loved ones (when they're not the ones in danger) he's actually leaning more into the light. His love for his mother and wife gave him the ability to look into the future for warnings, but he did not respond to them properly (not saying I know what the proper way would be). We know that Luke Skywalker had a wife and found that if the light emotions are used to fuel the power, then their abilities in the light side of the force will be greater. This is a random thought from my brain that I turned into a comment. Hope it's not completely idiotic. Thanks for reading :)
Interestingly male Cerean Jedi were given special privileges when it came to families as the male to female ratio was very low the species as a whole had far more females than males and due to this male cereans we're allowed to marry and have several wives and children. I am sure a few other species also had similar societal obligations within their species and had special privileges within the order. So no reason other Jedi should be banned from having families either
My theory is that Palpatine sent him visions of Padme in pain. He let him see his mother suffer. He threw it up to him about killing the sand people so he knew what he did. I don't think he could see into the future. I think Palpatine sent him visions to manipulate him just because his emotional attachment would lead him to the dark side.

This would also make a nice place to hide some significant Jedi/Force-users, during the time of both The Empire and The First Order.
what comic (assuming comic) was this mentioned in?
or was it in fallen order?
i can see why the force wanted the Jedi order gone , it was no longer order of balance but destruction
It sounds like they tried to do the two moons thing from the older order but forgot about the second one.
The order forgot about the second one a long time ago, that was their downfall.
I like to know what’s top speed on r2 d2,hmmm,wheels
Form the sound of it, the admitted jedi patients are far more likely to go crazy there.
Mace windu wanted ventress executed, glad obi wan stepped in
Damn I'd watch this show. This is wild!
Guess who could use some recovery time on Dawn Temple... 🙃
I don’t find this that disturbing, they don’t want too much people knowing their business… “Never show your good hand too early”
This is disgusting! What they did. People should have known this. They should have treat their Jedi brothers and sisters with every dignity. To show love and care. I understand it's abandoned during Order 66 and hidden. But they just left them there. It's terrible. i don't agree with this. At all. May the Force be with you too, always 😊
War messes up people in general that is why many Jedi fell to the dark side
I’ve always felt after playing the Star Wars games that the force was meant to be gray… neither light or dark and that true balance in the force was gray.
Day 1 of realizing Rey has exar kuns lightsaber. "Double bladed Saber not saff"
You need to harness both light and dark to be whole
Dagen Gera was in need of more help
It's a blessing that the Empire never found this temple, otherwise, Sidious would have used the truth of the Dawn Temple to further demonize the Jedi.
9:51 much like how Dagan who?
A good idea in theory. But in practice this place leaves plenty to be desired. That's what I think.
The planet Sphincter?
Would you let everyone know then a jedi turn sith can go there and free them and have a dark side army it's obvious to keep it secret
Is this what happened to Revan?
It's definately the same process, but looking at the wiki this is from a 2015 rpg that doesn't mention him.
If one goes into the books (especially) an some of the games if one really digs an some vague references in the shows an alot of the movies.. there's ACTUALLY quite a few things the Jedi did an had secretly. An that was just an ass thing to do NOT leading with this temple. HOWEVER it was pretty seriously a Sith thing to do Force "brainwashing" an imprisonment... Basically, one of the Dark inner secrets of this sect an one of many things not apparently sanctioned or Force Approved. Beginning question just HOW MANY There REALLY was an what was capable of as well as numbers of secret branches an sites like THIS. One wouldn't think they could be dropped into oblivion THAT easy then. Maybe at worst crippled by someone like Sideous an things like 66.
I think it was a good place to have available but because of 66 it was forgotten as well as those inside. 😮
A society secret or not WILL have secrets of its own. It would seem some more investigation is warranted into why mind rearranging is totally acceptable to the Jedi, and yet we NEVER hear talk about " imposing your WILL upon another is forbidden"? Shouldn't invading another's mind be considered a dark power from the start? Makes a little more sense why they wave their hands around like a traffic cop on overtime. 😅😂
I guess the Dawn Temple was where they sent Revan
It was at that moment that I realized the Jedi were actually the Chinese government
this couldve been the last refuge for the the jedi during order 66
Hmm, a bunch of monks living on a planet called sphincter…
sometimes i think the jedi at certain points of time are very much just like the sith.
I love legends stuff but this is one of those things I feel has way too many holes in it to be kept or made canon.
Sounds Like a Very Sith Thing to do! The Jedi were Hypocrites! The Ends Don't Always Justify the Means!
Does this temple still exist ?
Why does the Jailer sound more Akin to Fully Sentient Artificial intelligence
Is this reminding anyone about a certain place or someone from the Earth Kingdom in ATLA ?? 🤔
Remember: There is no war in Ba Sing Se.
maybe the Jedi took Revan to this place when they reprogrammed his mind
Disney: We need a reason to explain all these Order 66 survivors, and why we made a bacta soup with Dagan Gera. Yeah, we can really skew the dogma of the Republic age Jedi Council, but this is just stupid... and way too far.
You new fans never would've survived through legends lol
What if this was the plot to the Yoda Movie
Keanu reeves going play lord Vader father Luke skywalker grandfather in show then last movies 🎥
Jedi did not hide the temple; it was visible full by #TDBank... Beside it was nowhere near the vega sector... 🌎💘💰
Jedi and sith are two sides of the same coin
Is this legends?
Joras C'baoth should have been sent there. Is Not wrong place to make. I can think of a lot of Jedi that should have go gone there. Pong Krell.
What if you take light and dark side simeltaniesly.
I believe the Jedi kept these places secret due to shame and the need to control perception of the Jedi Order. If the public, and younger Jedi, were aware that enough Jedi turned to The Dark Side to justify the creation of such places, it would shake the faith in the Order and their ability to remain focused on the right path. Overtime we saw the Jedi was really messed up and hypocrite.
I disagree, I think the knowledge that this place existed, somehwere, out there should have been more widely shared. The planet doesn't even need to be named, let alone its location, or how many are there. But the wider order should now this sort of help is out there if they need it. Although that assumes they run it properly and it actually works.
@@kingofhearts3185 I am OK with your disagreement but you did not address at all the points I raised nor explained the rationale of yours.
@@corujariousa The wider public don't need to know, and young jedi are taught that the darkside is dangerous, so this might even alleviate fears of dark jedi. People know that jedi fall, plenty of wars were caused by people like Exar Kun, Revan, and Darth Ruin. Mical says as much in kotor 2, although the wars were much more recent in his time.
@@kingofhearts3185 I think you are over simplifying the situation but that's fine. This is all sci-fi anyway. All the best to you!
@@corujariousa Understandable, I appreciate the different viewpoint. Take care.
So they had this….and never sent anakin there ever. 😂
All i know is that big cross lightsaber is about as stupid as possible and completely rediculous
WHAT
Day 1 of asking for the other guy on day 199 whos asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
You mixed up Daegen Lok (from the end of the Je'daii era) and Dagan Gera (of Jedi Survivor). Also, to be fair, with people as powerful as Jedi, containing the rogue ones is a necessity. We see how much havoc they can cause if they fall. And that kind of approach did more or less work on Revan.
How are the Jedi the good guys again
To be honest, I kinda saw the red flags when you mentioned how peaceful it was. Also please put trigger warning on this next time, there are a lot of kids who went through a lot because of places like this
(Trigger Warning Mental Institution abuse mentioned below)
I was in a Mental Institution like that (not as extreme mind but the core concepts were there). Staff would through you into a "quite room" for the slightest slip up. Throw you into a "hold" (a very extreme police officer restraint hold actually).
So...
Basically, Azkaban?
More or less, but it doesn't have monsters that feeds on happiness and your soul.
@@DLR1997 *_Yet_*
Some need to be imprisoned for the betterment of all.
I think the construction of the Dawn Temple was correct and should not have been kept a secret
Sounds almost sith like
LOL who tf is Dagan Locke 😂
Tanalorr IS MINE!
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
?
Not too shocking. Look at how the Council treated Revan
