You and Peter have helped me more than I can express Timothy! Through you, others and my desire for a more solid truth, I have been able to dispel the years of fear, dread and depression set in by tenants of orthodox Christianity. I realize that most of Christians have no idea about the origins of their beliefs, and I seek to lead any of them out of oppression if they find themselves doubting their faith or needing counsel for the depression I know many of them have. Liberating truth can be had! Because from my experience, everything else is sinking sand. Ty 🌸❤️‍🩹🌸

    Seen in passing....
Some years ago, there was an atheist who stood on a soap-box at Hyde Park Corner, London, pouring scorn on Christian faith.
He said, “people tell me about God that exists but I can't see Him.
People tell me there is life after death; but I can't see it.
People tell me that there is a judgment to come, but I can't see it.
People tell me there is heaven and hell; but I can't see them.” He won a cheap applause.
A blind man struggled and managed to get to the soap-box to share his view too.
He said, “people tell me that there is green grass all around, but I can't see it.
People tell me that there is blue sky above, but I can't see it.
People tell me there are trees nearby, but I can't see it. You see, I'm blind.
The blind man was able to prove it to the atheist that just because he does not believe there is God does not mean He does not exist."
    HTH...

Possibly not to those who lack the necessary capacity to understand.
"14 For the natural man is not able to take in the things of the Spirit of God: for they seem foolish to him, and he is not able to have knowledge of them, because such
knowledge comes only through the Spirit.
15 But he who has the Spirit, though judging all things, is himself judged by no one.
16 For who has knowledge of the mind of the Lord, so as to be his teacher? But we have the mind of Christ".
      1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (BBE)
So the blind man showed that even people who have eyes to see, can indeed act as 'blind as a bat' when their understanding of the Holy is lacking and has been restricted to them.

This is right at the heart of why the West developed differently than the rest of the world - the rejection of intuition and mysticism and psychological exploration - the embrace of rationality and science and material technology - but we can still modify history and the deadly course we are on before it's too late (and we end up destroying our environments the way the ancient Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Hittites, Romans, and Greeks did!)... Thanks for posting this. Your efforts prove that there is still a glimmer of hope left for humankind to grow up.

I am sure that the Gospel of Thomas were not the words of Jesus. They were the words of John the Baptist who was a diviner, and the Gospel of Thomas is a secret divination and healing text. By the time the words were put to papyrus, they had been Christianized, the name Jesus put where John's name had been. John the Baptist was not a god believer. The Mandaeans have an understanding of light within everything. I'd say it is more of a modern-day physics statement. Their prophet, John the Baptist, taught about light and called it the father. Roman clerics transposed the word "light" to "God" and now you have God worship. It is wrong. They changed John's teachings, changed everything. The term "dazzling darkness" is interesting. The father is light no matter where you find it. It is within a stone; it is within wood. He said, "Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up the stone and you will find me there." "Lift" doesn't mean pick up a stone and look under it. It means to lift the stone which means to see it's real self. It is energy. It is light. Light is within it. It appears dark but it is dazzling light. Look inside wood; it is light. He is talking about using this light with your mind to lift the frequency of everything within you and outside of you...to change the frequency of matter and also one's own consciousness to a higher frequency.

I cannot agree with that premise of John the Baptist being an adept of divination since divination was strictly prohibited in Deuteronomy 18:9-14 add to the fact that John the Baptist's Father was a priest and was well acquainted with biblical prohibitions regarding Divination. See below what is stated about John the Baptist's parents.

@@mikeq5807 Not so! since Gnosticism or other philosophical systems such as Neo Platonism teach soul immortality and soul cycling in contrast to what Jesus taught which was the matrix of literal bodily Resurrection from the dead and Gnostics believe that a material bodily resurrection is antithetical to the Gnostic view of the spirit realm being the true reality whereas in the Bible's true matrix Adam and Eve were never mean't to die and would have continued to live in a conditional immortal existence if they would have continued being obedient to the command of not eating from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That is why Adam was kicked out of the garden and the reason as to why God placed an Angel with a flaming sword barring the entrance of the couple into Eden. It was on account of both of them once again having access to the Tree of Life thus becoming immortal sinners. See Genesis 3
And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,' --
      Jehovah God sendeth him forth from the garden of Eden to serve the ground from which he hath been taken;
yea, he casteth out the man, and causeth to dwell at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubs and the flame of the sword which is turning itself round to guard the way of the tree of life.
      Young's Literal Translation public domain
Fact is that God warned Adam in Genesis 2 that if he were to eat of that specific tree of the knowledge of good and evil that he would surely die and later on Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 as well as Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 totally align with what God told Adam in Genesis 2 regarding that specific prohibition. Also Job 19:25-27 which is considered the oldest book in the bible also totally aligns with the bodily resurrection concept as opposed to the Gnostic viewpoint of soul immortality. The fact is that most people are not aware of these two matrix es in the Bible which are antithetical to each other.

I have never had hallucinations or heard voice before but when I came too, the window lite up bright orange and started to see sphinx with tunnels systems and a symbol that looked like DNA then a voice telling me to keep looking and it was an image of jesus after his death and his face was destroyed, his eyes were swollen shut but then they began to open with a white light coming out of them which made me think god existed because I heard my dead father voice. Then a female voice telling me jesus was real. The I remembered osiris dyanicis (not sure if that's the right spelling) a man who lived and died the same way as jesus. The voices got angry and after a while left me. I have not heard or seen anything since. I don't understand what was going on was it my brain releasing DMT because I was so near death or was it a religious experience.

Its revealed in the oldest book of the Bible the book of Job chapter 19:25-27 and the facts are clear, the New Testament teaching of the resurrection by way of Jesus Christ completely aligns with what Job states in that verse in reference to his Messiah Redeemer appearance in the latter days as well as the putrefaction of his body and then the resurrection from the dead.

    *The Queen Of Sheba*
The life of the human aeon.
The Ante-Deluvian aeon for the first generation was up to a thousand years for each person Methuselah being an exception.
I have to believe this is true though to a modern mind it is laughable, but we need to understand the perception and beliefs of these ancient people because it is an important concept which sets boundaries.
In relation to this longevity Jesus states Matthew 24:22
_And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened_
Jesus therefore clearly means that resurrection included reincarnation, but there is a distinct difference between *The Resurrection* and _resurrection_ The former being an end to the Aeon and the latter just the souls coming and going to gain nourishment for its being.
_John 10:9 I am the door; if anyone enters by me he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture_
    *The importance of Luke 20:34-36*
_34 And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage; 35 but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, 36 for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection_
Based upon the Bible truth that judgement does not occur until the soul has completed multiple resurrections (reincarnations) and can no longer attain rebirth in the physical world, that passage, relies on Jesus understanding of what he revealed about the unbelieving Jews in relation to the Queen of Sheba’s Resurrection. *Note capital R*
_Matthew 12:41 The queen of the South will arise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here_
Jesus teaches here the boundaries of aeons as a thousand years from one Resurrection to another, so those Jews who railed against him would be able to live out their lives until such time as they could no longer be reborn and then be judged, and at that judgement the Queen of the South would Arise and condemn them, this is the same meaning as Resurrection. Her life was recorded as being 9th century B.C. a thousand years accurarately places her Resurrection in the 1st century A.D.
Therefore Jesus had a meticulous understanding of resurrections reincarnation, and Resurrection, as he states “I AM the Resurrection and the Life” And guess what, the Queen of the South wasn’t even a Catholic.
I too have reached the stage where I have already been judged, and my future in Paradise will be among those people whose earthly lives ended in the last thousand years I will be particularly friendly to King Peter I of Portugal and his wife Inez de Castro who died in the 12th century, I am destined to watch them as they resurrect from dust in their sarcophagus, He will arise first and he will go to his wife’s regenerated body and help her from her sarcophagus, then both of them will walk over to a beam of light and ascend into the world of the 3rd day.
This is not Catholic teaching this is Biblical teaching Catholic teaching has been unable to comprehend what has been written because it understands through a very narrow prism.
_Doctors of arts, medicine, law and philosophy can be made by the pope, the emperor and the universities; but be quite sure that no-one can make a doctor of Holy Scripture save only the Holy Ghost from heaven, as Christ says in John vi ‘They must all be taught by God himself’. Now the Holy Ghost does not ask after red or brown robes, or what is showy, whether a man is young or old , clerical or lay, monastic or secular, virgin or married. Indeed , he once spake by an ass against the prophet that rode on it, would that we were worthy that such doctors be given us…” (Luther, An d. chr. Adel deutch. Nation v. d.v.d. chr. And lucky for us there’s absolutely nothing that substantiate any of these claims whatsoever.

It is sad to see how this entire episode, detailing history of Christianity, continues to deny the true source of both Christianity, Gnosticism, and Judaism: Ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) Spirituality. All the anthropomorphized “Gods” of the revealed religions are based on the ancient Egyptian teachings about the “Forces of Nature” - Neteru. Even the names of the Egyptian Neteru are taken literally into these religions: Amun (Amen), Atum (Adam), Ausar (Jesus), Auset (Virgin Mary). These are Powers of Nature and not a person a god.

Problem is that the Apostle Paul exposed the heresy of the Gnostics in Colossians 2 and Cathars were Gnostics just like the Albigensians. John also exposed the Gnostic doctrine of Docetism.

I thought that also when we began our research, but actually it turns out Paul was the great hero of Gnostics such as Valentinus who called him the 'Great Apostle'. For the evidence on this see Elaine Pagels 'The Gnostic Paul' as well as our books. There is widespread agreement that the anti-Gnostic letters are not by Paul and only turn up in the 2nd century.

@@TimFreke1 Problem is that Paul's controversy with the Gnostics was not during the second century it was during the first century since the particular heresy that was encountered was a culturally Jewish form of Gnosticism which advocated circumcision as well as emanationism in relation to the worship of angels as well as other matters in relation to the observance of certain rituals and passing judgment on others regarding matters such as don't do this don't touch that or don't eat this or that. Since Paul spoke out against them then he could not be a hero of the Gnostics since Paul believed in the historic Biblically based message of the Old Testament regarding the resurrection from the dead which was the focus of Paul's teaching in the book of Acts especially when he went before the authorities of that day and a debate broke out between the Sadducees and the Pharisees, the latter believed in the resurrection which was the original matrix of God as revealed in the book of Job 19:25-27 as opposed to the Gnostic matrix which believed in soul immortality and soul cycling. When Paul mentioned his belief concerning the hope of the resurrection that is when the debate broke out between those two groups since the Sadducees did not believe in the concept of bodily resurrection. Since they were secular humanists. Both doctrines such as soul immortality and soul cycling = reincarnation run contrary to the original biblical matrix of bodily resurrection. Also Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 and Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 both teach that the dead know nothing and do not travel to another dimension of the spirit world as taught by Gnostics. Paul emphatically states this concept by stating that if Christ is not risen then the believers of that day whom he was addressing would have perished in their sins. So here we see that Paul is clearly refuting the Gnostic viewpoint of soul immortality and basing eternal life solely on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

@@TimFreke1 Irrelevant! Years ago I researched one of her early books and I didn't agree with any of it and back then I didn't even have the understanding that I have now but I did undertake a deep study of the Gnostic belief system and I can prove with facts that it doesn't concur with the facts in the Bible. Now if you want to twist the scriptures thats something else.
Fact is that the Bible does not sanction or teach the immortal soul doctrine which is a major component of Gnosticism.
See Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 as well as Ecclesiastes 9:5-10. These verses perfectly align with God's warning to Adam in Genesis that if Adam would eat of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil that he would surely die while Satan stated the contrary to Eve . The soul immortality doctrine aligns with the Luciferian matrix which combines soul immortality with soul cycling. In order for Pagel to make sense she would have to show that Paul and John went contrary to the Biblical view of soul sleep and that is impossible since they followed the religion of Christ see what Jesus stated in John 4:22 and what Paul stated in Romans 9:4-5. She would have to prove that the Gnostic belief of soul immortality was God's original matrix and that is where she would run into major problems since the oldest book of the Bible which is the book of Job 19:25 -27 presents the original matrix of God in the form of the bodily resurrection from the dead after Job's flesh has deteriorated. That is precisely what the verse states nothing more and nothing less. Fact is that the Pharisees believe in the concept of bodily resurrection something that the Gnostics don't believe since to them the world of matter or material things is evil.
Gnostics assume that death is a natural occurrence on our planet and the biblical view states that rebellion against the Creator commenced in heaven= space not a dimension after death. The conflict began with Lucifer a personal angelic being who rebelled against the Two Elohim's = the original Two Creators which can be called God and the Word who was God. When Adam was tested after being created he failed the test and handed over the planet to this personal entity now called Satan. The Gnostic perspective flies in the face of all this biblical evidence by stating that the world of matter is evil and the world of the spirit is good. When God created everything he stated it was good and Gnostics teach just the opposite. Fact is that the biblical theme of death being an enemy runs contrary to the Gnostic belief system from Genesis to the book of Revelation. At this point you being a scholar of Pagel's subject matter should be able to articulate her beliefs without having to tell your opponents to read her books. I know what the Gnostics did in the first century and I am also familiar with the Essenes and they had no relation to John the Baptist nor to Yeshua. You are talking to some one who has done a vast amount of research comparing both systems.
