Gnosticism is based on two false premises. First, it espouses a dualism regarding spirit and matter. Gnostics assert that matter is inherently evil and spirit is good. As a result of this presupposition, Gnostics believe anything done in the body, even the grossest sin, has no meaning because real life exists in the spirit realm only. Second, Gnostics claim to possess an elevated knowledge, a “higher truth” known only to a certain few. Gnosticism comes from the Greek word gnosis which means “to know.” Gnostics claim to possess a higher knowledge, not from the Bible, but acquired on some mystical higher plane of existence. Christo's means oil so the anointing is the Kundalini Awakening which opens the door through various psycho-chemicals or spirits. The spiritual awakening transcends the physical shell or vehicle. Through yoga techniques and certain breathing exercises one awakens the psycho-spiritual Kundalini Force and becomes Master. The Christ principle Within. Tim is an amazing teacher. I bow to him and thank him for his wisdom and insight.
@Gee Ling if you truly were a student of Mr.. Freke you would not have the attitude that you do. And if you say nothing is then where is your argument? I find you most pathetic.
I have known both joy and grief, Neat or mixed together; Cold and heat I've known and found Both good drinking weather; Light and darkness I have known, Seldom doubting whether Tammuz would return again When he'd slipped his tether. I remember gaudy days When the year was springing; Tammuz, Gilgamesh, and I Clinking cups and singing, Till Innini sauntered by, Skimpy garments clinging To her hips and things like that- Tammuz left us, winging. So we welcomed Enkidu When he came to Erech; He was rough as hickory bark, Nothing of a cleric; But his taste in wine and ale, That was esoteric, And he used a drinking cup Which would strain a derrick. Khumbaba then felt our strength In the magic cedars, And we battled Anu's bull, Pride of heaven's breeders; Thrice we struck and once it fell, Drawing wolves for feeders, While we strode where drinking men Called for expert leaders. Tammuz must have joined us there, But he'd just got wedded And Innini, blast the wench! Hacked him as they bedded. Damn such honeymoons as that! Just the sort I've dreaded; For a drinking man is spoiled Once he is beheaded. So we waked him with a will, Ale and tear drops pooling, Then we drank to him for months While the year was cooling; But he came back with the grass: "Death was only fooling," Tammuz told us, "Fill my cup; "I'm both dry and drooling." [John Myers Myers, Silverlock, 1949]

Very interesting indeed. My search for Truth has led me to this man. Is he a preacher now? Kind of seemed that way at the end. Love and Respect to Dr. Timothy Freke
Not a preacher Ben, but I have always been concerned with sharing the experience of gnosis as well as a developing a philosophy that can help us understand this enormous mystery we are in right now. You can find out more here timfreke.com/
Awesome! Without a doubt, the best way to pass on such deep insights is through stories/myths and metaphors and to revise and build upon what is there already.
Spot on. I believe Jesus was an historical figure. A wonderful and enlightened teacher. The gospels aren’t historic. The Bible isn’t historic. They are interpretive. Miracles in story-telling were a common and well-understood literary device of the times. As Moses’ ‘miracles’ were greater than the pagan gods, so Jesus’ ‘miracles’ made him greater than Moses. The essence boils down to ‘the kingdom of heaven is within you’. My essence is eternal spirit.
Gee Ling, no ‘proof’ as such. I’ve formed my view of the likely existence of ‘Jesus’ on writings of other people particularly Paul, who claims to have spoken to Jesus’ brother James, as well as disciples Peter and John. In the end I don’t care whether he existed or not. Understanding that I am eternal spirit doesn’t depend on Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed or any other man. I can’t ‘prove’ this either
I like your reference to Christianity being about the soul's escape from the cave. Jesus was crucified on Golgotha- "the skull" (or Kranion in Greek). The Skull is the cave which houses our souls within our mortal bodies. At the base of the skull (where Christ was crucified) is a hole called the foramen magnum. The hole in the skull that Christ leaves his tomb and rises out from. Peace brother.
Love your work: don’t agree with love the enemy in the sense that you cannot love a psychopathic control system back to health. It requires expanding what “enemy” - there are evil mechanisms in place (over Centuries) of failed loving. You can’t love a narcissist or a pathogenic assault back to health either. You have to install boundaries of no contact. What say you back?
I don't think it is about loving systems ... we can love those who are dysfunctional ... but that's not the same as approving, however is is acknowledging the underlying oneness.
Barbara Theirings ( Sydney University ) scholarly book "Jesus, the man " is an in depth theory of hidden language within the Jewish Essene sect. Barbara's study of the Dead Sea scrolls nearly blew my feeble mind. Pieces started to fall into place. Even if the Crucifixion, was an elaborate hoax and the role of Mary Magdalene as the partner of Jesus( which to Christianity is heresy ) then we still most definitely should respect and give thanks to all of the whole early Christian church for giving us so much. Jesus and his disciples taught us many good things , such as equality, forgiveness, faith, and love. She also has an old u tube video.
Sounds so much like Toth or Hermes! Filosofía in Spanish. I love this video, would love to rattle some cages at my family reunion 🤣 Thank you so much Tim ❤️🔥
I've had gnosis and awakened my inner Christ. Having intergrated with what I perceive God to be my life has become deeply beautiful. The most difficult part of life now is I no longer fear death in any way and have to bite my tongue when I hear people are grieving over the death of another person - all that's happened to that person is they gone back into the God-head and are having a wonderful time so no one should mourn anyones death ever - they should celebrate. Your soul is eternal so why mourn.
Part two . Once we were unified it was uptown this poetry the analogues of my deliverance , The magnificent meltdown . My quintessential goddess me and her were androgynous to find her I suffered many losses crucifixion initiation resurrection- Gnosis .
Very interesting and informative, and fills in an enormous number of gaps. Having said that, I'm deeply grateful for philosophical Taoism and Chinese (Chan) Buddhism. It might be interesting and entertaining to wade through the many layers of the Jesus myth, but if one is interested in insight or direct experience, there are less complex paths available.🙏
Much love and respect to you, sir. Many ancient cultures - including ones not yet proven to have existed - appear to have had this wisdom, whether we learned this through physical evidence or oral tradition. They also speak of long cycles where humanity goes through these changes in perspective, and have done so many times going back much further in history than we thought. Has there been a time in your research that suggests this to be true? Thank you so much for the video!
I had to watch this again! That is such as interesting point by Carl Sagan that when the facists took over Christianity "it put us back a thousand years and we got the dark ages." Kind of reminds me of now actually, back into the dark ages we go.
Well Sagan was full of shit with that statement. Christianity wasn’t in the Americas or India or East Asia holding back scientific progress. Do a little history before gulping down a big load of propaganda.Check out history for atheists Tim O’Neal ( he’s an atheist) he’s fed up with the bs being spread by people like Sagan, Harris, Dawkins et al.

LOL.......Maybe you should tell the people in France, known in history as the "Cathars" that Mary the "Magdala" ( Tower of the Flock ) was not a real person too . ( a little secret ).....She was the literal, physical INCARNATION of "Sophia" ( WISDOM ), just as the man Jesus was the literal, physical INCARNATION of the "Christ" ( TRUTH ). And just as WE ALL are literal, physical incarnations of the "Father" ( KNOWLEDGE )...... but until we "know" (GNOSIS) this......we are "LOST".
Great talk. Were the gospels written by Jews in Alexandria to say to fellow Jews that their rebellion in their land against the Romans was futile and now it is time to have a peaceful religion, or were they written by non Jews maybe Roman who were telling the Jews the same thing?
According to Plato's Cratylus there is a "correctness" to names so what are we to think if the name "Judas" is viewed as being derived from the Hebrew word "yada" which means "to know"?
In a region (the middle east) prone to harsh weather conditions in particular drought, jesus decided to turn water into wine rather than water into more water eg vast lakes and abundant rainfall. If he had done this then there would have been no need to turn one loaf of bread into thousands because the harvest would have been plentiful.
Hey Timothy just wanted to say I really enjoy your work. I own the Jesus mysteries. But I've not read Jesus and the lost goddess. Looks very interesting. Ive came to the same conclusion as you have. That the Chruch ether altered the original teaching's or turned a mythic story. Changed it to taking it literally. In my view this was done because the chruch was the law and power. If they let people believe there was many paths not just one. They have no power of the people. I think during the inquisitions the Chruch new that other people had the Truth. And they labeled them heritics. It's clear you don't follow the dogmatic teachings of any of the abrahamic religions. But my question would be are you still spiritual in nature. Or do you not believe in anything after the death of the physical body. I don't follow Christianity dogmatic teachings ether and I agree on what you have written down. We know there's been many different gods and goddesses. So that's why I ask one could say well because of this fact it shows it's not real. Or one could say that it's ether not real or God is beyond man's comprehension. I know for fact I would love to set down have coffee and have good conversation with you. Very interesting intelligent man.
I am more spiritual than ever my friend. For me everyday is a further exploration of the gnosis. I feel very lucky in this way. First time here Timothy. I am interested to hear you.. Well done on the book BTW!! ( Ireland listener)
Wow this was so good, listened to this whole 'stream' whilst painting...thanks Tim!
Easter 2021 as timeless and relevant as ever.
I have known both joy and grief,
Neat or mixed together;
Cold and heat I've known and found
Both good drinking weather;
Light and darkness I have known,
Seldom doubting whether
Tammuz would return again
When he'd slipped his tether.
I remember gaudy days
When the year was springing;
Tammuz, Gilgamesh, and I
Clinking cups and singing,
Till Innini sauntered by,
Skimpy garments clinging
To her hips and things like that-
Tammuz left us, winging.
So we welcomed Enkidu
When he came to Erech;
He was rough as hickory bark,
Nothing of a cleric;
But his taste in wine and ale,
That was esoteric,
And he used a drinking cup
Which would strain a derrick.
Khumbaba then felt our strength
In the magic cedars,
And we battled Anu's bull,
Pride of heaven's breeders;
Thrice we struck and once it fell,
Drawing wolves for feeders,
While we strode where drinking men
Called for expert leaders.
Tammuz must have joined us there,
But he'd just got wedded
And Innini, blast the wench!
Hacked him as they bedded.
Damn such honeymoons as that!
Just the sort I've dreaded;
For a drinking man is spoiled
Once he is beheaded.
So we waked him with a will,
Ale and tear drops pooling,
Then we drank to him for months
While the year was cooling;
But he came back with the grass:
"Death was only fooling,"
Tammuz told us, "Fill my cup;
"I'm both dry and drooling."

Thank you Tim for this wonderful explanation of Gnosticism. So many different beliefs and ideas came together for me through this presentation and your wonderful message of unity at the end.
Tim, Your amazing wisdom and this gnosis is a revelation to me that completes my quest for enlightenment my entire life. I now understand this journey more completely. Thank you!
Tim.. you’re amazing.. so happy to hear these words of verification...Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Your vocation is profound and immense.
As a black man I approved their message
The Hebrew word for repent is שוב (sh'ub/shawb depending on who you ask), and it literally means to "turn back".
Absolutely!!! Thank you💝
I like your reference to Christianity being about the soul's escape from the cave.
I found this so interesting. Thank you for introducing me to this Tim.
Danke, Tim,du bist meine letzte Offenbarung! The Last Testament! You took Off the veil!
EASTER EVERYWHERE
Love your work: don’t agree with love the enemy in the sense that you cannot love a psychopathic control system back to health. It requires expanding what “enemy” - there are evil mechanisms in place (over Centuries) of failed loving. You can’t love a narcissist or a pathogenic assault back to health either. You have to install boundaries of no contact. What say you back?
I don't think it is about loving systems ... we can love those who are dysfunctional ... but that's not the same as approving, however is is acknowledging the underlying oneness.
Gorgeous glasses with the blue shirt! Exceptional choice!

Realizing the Trinity and what we truly are is amazing indeed
I conversed with Barbara about her ideas many years ago just after our first book came out.
These was extremely beautiful and much needed ❣
I've listened to this recording several times and there are many who misunderstand Mr. Freke's work but by his own definition he is a Christian
@Gee Ling what would be sad, that he's a Christian?
What a great sermon ChrisT!m! It means a lot to this Pascuali. Happy Easter.

I love ❤️ this guy you need to attend our gatherings
I was reminded of this video called "IN-SHADOW - A Modern Odyssey
I've had gnosis and awakened my inner Christ. Having intergrated with what I perceive God to be my life has become deeply beautiful. The most difficult part of life now is I no longer fear death in any way and have to bite my tongue when I hear people are grieving over the death of another person - all that's happened to that person is they gone back into the God-head and are having a wonderful time so no one should mourn anyones death ever - they should celebrate. Your soul is eternal so why mourn.
Pride, sophomoric, category error.
Thank you for this quality elaboration.

really excellent job, Tim.....

Thank you so much Tim!!!!! You rescued my soul from "the real Satan" !!!! Thank you with all my heart.
So pleased to hear that
Irony intensifies. Freke is still making up what he believes going into 2024
Much love and respect to you, sir.
I haven't looked into long cycles of time in the distant past Danny
Thank you!
Fascinating, thankyou 🙏
This is wonderful. Thank you, Tim!🎈💜🎈

I'm a big fan of you Tim.
I first listened to you on lighting the void podcast
what about saint Paul saying that if Christ was not raised your faith is in vain.
Paul also said the great secret was Christ in you. That’s the gnostic message. that is where Christ is raised.
How could there be any thumbs down for this study? Awaken and arise!
Very Good!
I love your gnostic/spiritual work Tim, thank you 😊
your take on space/moon etc less so 😉
What is my take on space and the moon?
I think you said things about space in the past and that we would have got to the moon sooner instead of the dark ages 🧐😁

@TimFreke1 This deep stillness and safety you called god. How do you facilitate and access it? I’ve heard someone talk about this state somewhere before, are there any mediation videos that could help access this state/expirence?
I lead meditation regularly at my online group. I don't share these publicly, so wont add any in the comments here, but if you post me an email address I'll send you a link to the most recent. Or consider joining us as a guest online some time timfreke.com/ICU.aspx Or better still come to one of my retreats where I will guide you personally to the 'gnosis' ... the deep awake state timfreke.com/Events.aspx In love Tim

LOL.......Maybe you should tell the people in France, known in history as
the "Cathars" that Mary the "Magdala" ( Tower of the Flock ) was not a real
person too .
( a little secret ).....She was the literal, physical INCARNATION of "Sophia" ( WISDOM ),
just as the man Jesus was the literal, physical INCARNATION of the "Christ" ( TRUTH ).
And just as WE ALL are literal, physical incarnations of the "Father" ( KNOWLEDGE )......
but until we "know" (GNOSIS) this......we are "LOST".
Amazing
He should havbe an interview with Gregg Braden!
Great talk. Were the gospels written by Jews in Alexandria to say to fellow Jews that their rebellion in their land against the Romans was futile and now it is time to have a peaceful religion, or were they written by non Jews maybe Roman who were telling the Jews the same thing?
I think almost certainly by Gnostic Jews - such as the the Theraputae - looking for a mystical messiah rather than a military leader.
@25:55ish "You are a body in? and? a soul." I hear 'and', closed captions say 'in'. thanks for any help, and thanks for this vid!
According to Plato's Cratylus there is a "correctness" to names so what are we to think if the name "Judas" is viewed as being derived from the Hebrew word "yada" which means "to know"?
Thank you Tim for the explanation.
🤣
I wonder what would happen, or - rather - how things would be on this planet, if everybody fully realized the Inner Christ/Brahman/Buddha Nature...
@@thebaryonacousticoscillati5679 my personal conviction is that we are on an evolutionary journey towards that beautiful vision.
40th comment. Thanks for the videos!!!
Philosophically, I've been developing a sort of evolutionary neo-gnosticism that can embrace our modern understanding of the universe, and that is going very well. I am sitting in my office working on this right now as I do most days :-) If you'd like to connect with me in person, check out this ... timfreke.com/ICU.aspx Big love Tim
@@TimFreke1 thanks so much I'll definitely check that out. That's cool you are spiritual that's my take on the knowledge as well. Most Days am studying as well. Have been for years really into theosophy. Occult thought in general. But I've found many truths in alot if things from spiritualism and spiritism. Even things like Hinduism there's a lot of spiritual truth's there. In occult thought like Rosicrucian teaching's. They believe a lot of knowledge came out of Egyptian mystery school's. Later Greek philosophers helped carry that gnosis into modern times. One day would like to go see Egypt'. Or India thanks for writing me back. Definitely subscribed going to order your other work's. Take care friend.
Very interesting Tim...the symbolism is amazing❤️
