      @@ExtremeVocalInstitute I am too! I'm just getting into vocals and I'm ripping through all your videos. Any chance of a dedicated fry scream video? I'm starting out by learning fry (currently just trying to get a mid range scream down) and I'm curious about how the transition to all different kinds of sounds is gonna work!

    Hey David, awesome channel, awesome work! Im a metal vocalist for 20 years now and always looking for new ways to warm up and getting better at what i do. So i wonder if you could do and record a warm up in different tones as you have quiet a range and of course the knowledge you are sharing with everyone. Im still using that Melissa Cross warmup CD for many years now, which is ok, but i havent found anything new and fresh which gets beyond the old stuff. Of course that warmup needs to be on the go for us vocalists too like on spotify or something. Would be so cool man, you may think about it. So far, keep on creating such cool content. i'll take a deep dive in your channel now and you got my sub for sure.

      We are in the process of developing a warm-up program for our EVI Now program that will be available soon 😊David has been in the testing stage with his private students because we have to develop a program that is going to accomplish what needs to happen to activate the vocal cords and screams for everyone!

    Question -I can do these crazy high Fry type screams but only if I don't go through any warm up routine. If I warm up my ability to access those screams and stay relaxed completely falls apart. Warming up for all other types of screams work great.

    • @ExtremeVocalInstitute
      @ExtremeVocalInstitute  4 года назад +17

      This is a common problem for many people when it comes to high screams. The fact that you're getting them when you have not warmed up means that it's tension-based even if you think you're "relaxing" into it. This type of tension is hard to notice in the moment. If your high screams are based on tension, they won't work after you've warmed up because your muscles are relaxing. Not to worry, this doesn't mean you need to abandon the sound or that it's bad. It just means that you should spend some time trying to find alternative ways to get to the same end result. If you have further issues or start to experience pain or other problems feel free to get in touch.
