You are just the most perfect teacher. He is straight forward and is blunt with areas that need to be. He isn't being aggressive towards the matter. I love him
Man, speaking honestly, you're my hero! Thank you so much for all the free knowledge you share with us on RUclips. You're truly a great teacher and I appreciate each lesson you upload on this channel. Greetings from Brazil! 🇧🇷
I’m glad 2022 has been a great year for you and you’re doing so many great things. But I miss the live streams. So much love and so happy for you though
Your style of teaching is more helpful to me and a bit better explained than I found on some tutorials. Maybe its your style of teaching? Either way great tutorials so far. Keep up the great work!
@@ExtremeVocalInstitute I am too! I'm just getting into vocals and I'm ripping through all your videos. Any chance of a dedicated fry scream video? I'm starting out by learning fry (currently just trying to get a mid range scream down) and I'm curious about how the transition to all different kinds of sounds is gonna work!
We have a lot more content coming out really soon! ☺️ For now if you want tips/tricks feel free to join our Facebook group! facebook.com/groups/EVI.community/?ref=share
Hey people, if you want to warm up melodically, the channel of Jeff Rolka is amazing! He has warmup for all kinds of voices, woman and man, so go check him out. Always warm up!!
Hey David, awesome channel, awesome work! Im a metal vocalist for 20 years now and always looking for new ways to warm up and getting better at what i do. So i wonder if you could do and record a warm up in different tones as you have quiet a range and of course the knowledge you are sharing with everyone. Im still using that Melissa Cross warmup CD for many years now, which is ok, but i havent found anything new and fresh which gets beyond the old stuff. Of course that warmup needs to be on the go for us vocalists too like on spotify or something. Would be so cool man, you may think about it. So far, keep on creating such cool content. i'll take a deep dive in your channel now and you got my sub for sure.
We are in the process of developing a warm-up program for our EVI Now program that will be available soon 😊David has been in the testing stage with his private students because we have to develop a program that is going to accomplish what needs to happen to activate the vocal cords and screams for everyone!
Question -I can do these crazy high Fry type screams but only if I don't go through any warm up routine. If I warm up my ability to access those screams and stay relaxed completely falls apart. Warming up for all other types of screams work great.
This is a common problem for many people when it comes to high screams. The fact that you're getting them when you have not warmed up means that it's tension-based even if you think you're "relaxing" into it. This type of tension is hard to notice in the moment. If your high screams are based on tension, they won't work after you've warmed up because your muscles are relaxing. Not to worry, this doesn't mean you need to abandon the sound or that it's bad. It just means that you should spend some time trying to find alternative ways to get to the same end result. If you have further issues or start to experience pain or other problems feel free to get in touch.
Men I love your videos, if I can help you whit information about the bodie and anatomy, I really love to do it, I'm physiotherapist and screamer, so, I really love to paz you information for your students and you then make no only better screamers also have better healthy! Love for you men!
Sorry you feel that way. We have an entire series called “30 Second Voice Lessons” available on our Instagram where David doesn’t speak at all if that suits your learning style better 😊

David is the vocalist of Pathogenic:

Love it dude ❤🤘

Like my grandpa used to say “better warmup you don’t wanna play cold” he said that to me when he dropped me off at my baseball game as a kid
I thought the dog barking was my bulldog and paused the video and got mad 😂

Ok I'ma start warming up I've been in a band for a year and I got bad habits
You’ve given more voice warm ups than any other video. *proceeds to teach elementary school chorus. 😂

Imagine if the videos on this channel were all, and still this good. Website is hohum. Learnt about, not how.
There's a lot of talking without actual methods...
