This track is part of my "Shin Megami Tensei: The Piano Collections" compilation, which features various tracks from various Shin Megami Tensei video games arranged for piano. Video games being featured include but are not limited to Nocturne, Persona 3, Persona 4, Strange Journey, Digital Devil Saga 1, Digital Devil Saga 2, and Devil Summoner.
This track is World Map Last Area from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne for the Playstation 2 (2003). This music serves as the theme for the overworld that precedes the final dungeon of the game's main story. The original track includes a powerful guitar solo that really makes it what it is. For this piano arrangement, I chose to relax a little with the structure. Since the original's form is very simple with two rotating sections, there wasn't much material to draw from, but the result is a nice and chill presentation of the themes.

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes it is on purpose (it's in the sheet music as well). I understand that the dissonance is off-putting but those notes are actually in line with the chord. It happens multiple times in the song, at 2:43 I just wanted to stress it. In hindsight it may not have been the best choice, but otherwise I don't think it throws the piece off too much.
The way that was played that gave me flashbacks of my long grind to Kagatsuhi
My favorite game of all time, hands-down.
Amelia Bee unfortunately there's not many of us
dzsidu True :/
My second or third favorite game of all time (first or first two are SMT too :D)
You're awesome, dude. Nocturne is an excellent example of the medium.

Great job, as always !
It's not violent Enough!
Awesome remix.
same composer, also, her remixes and stuff it's pretty cool if you listen to persona 4's shop theme it is remixed
this is too good
2:08 makes me think of the DDS...
I think so. That dissonance was too awesome to be a mistake.
whenever you are able to do another arrangement, may i suggest doing an arrangement of "Reverie" (Reincarnation version) from Persona 4?
the more dissonant, the better.
