Finished this game this year, 2020. This game is not only aged well, it has not lost it´s appealing at all. Music, art and story gorgeous all. I fucked up in my first gameplay last year because I didnt knew the existence of Pierce...
I played through SMT 1-3 for the first time summer of last year, amazing experience. I did IV and Strange Journey at the end of the year. I already really want to replay them but I haven't tried the spinoffs yet.

Talk about musical catharsis. There are very few composers that can convey such a clear idea with just a minute of music. I can tell exactly what the music is conveying and it fits the context so beautifully. Not to mention just how amazing it sounds in general. Huge props to Meguro for making such a magnum opus of a soundtrack. It really rounded out my experience playing this game.

Demi-Fiend and his army marching to the final bastion... in a fight of whose reason shall prevail or to break them all and forge your own path. (Freedom or True Darkness) all in this theme, would be epic..
Man, the walk towards the tower was so epic. I was imagining the Demi-fiend looking at the top of tower like Cloud looking at Shinra's HQ in the Final Fantasy VII's cover.
Just started playing this on the ps2 a few days ago. Already 20 hrs in. And gotta say, I've fallen in love with this game. I've been playing smt and persona games for a few years now, but until now I hadn't played nocturne. And man is it good. Even after almost two decades. It still looks and sounds and especially plays amazingly. Its definitely a must play ps2 game, and its because of its success that we got gsmes like persona 3 and 4, and DDS 1 and 2. I truly can't fully explain just how much this game has really impacted me. I haven't played another game that truly captivated me and made me feel like I truly was the protagonist since I played persona 4 many months ago. This game, if you are willing and want to play it, will pull you into a new and enthralling world, and even the stats and leveling up will feel like a real task. You'll be planing out what fusions to make, and when, and what moves to carry over. This game is an absolute treasure. Atlus really outdid themselves on this one. Bravo. Also rip the mantra. My boys just wanted to fight and shit

Soundtrack was much better than expected since I came here after playing the entire persona series and had pretty standard expectations for this game music. Only downside imo is the level design of some dungeons. Especially the three pyramid you have to complete towards the end of the game. Absolutely fucking annoying.

This song, like Final Fantasy IV's "Within the Giant", Final Fantasy VII's "Judgement Day" or Star Ocean 3's "Mission to Empty Space", are like the perfect song to highlight how far you've come since the beginning of your long adventure.

I wished he still made this type of music. His PS1/PS2 era soundtracks were amazing.
Really wish they'd have him compose more than just Persona now.
