So I love the Hemi’s and other V8’s of the world but hats off to trying something like this. I am not surprised with all the hate comments but I do think this is an interesting solution to one of the EV gripes. I would really be interested in driving one of these, I think it’s the best bridge between old school charm and new school direction.
I am utterly appalled and properly turned on by this car. I have driven nothing but naturally aspirated V8s and turbo V6s all my life. I completely feel all the comments calling this period inducing. But at the same time if I close my eyes I hear something awesome. The way the car handled that donut was impressive even with a professional driver. And it may be the first "affordable" EV that looks good. I am more impressed than I thought I would be. I am looking forward to experiencing this in person and seeing the turbo version.
Something they could do is try having the OS switch to a different sound when burning out, or doing donuts. The sounds are based on “RPM” and speedometer.

All the negative comments on this are insane, listen, I love my c3 5.7 L v8 with 190 hp (lmao.) but if this is the future we “have” to end up with. It’s really not that bad, legally have to have some sort of sound so pedestrians can hear you so this is a pretty slick implementation of that. Not to mention just how much like actual raw power this shit puts down…it’s nuuuuuuts.
