when using a colorless blender you put the blender down first, then the other colors. It sound backwards, but it works. if you do it the other way it just lifts the color
I feel so dumb. I just started using alcohol markers and couldn't figure out how to use the blender. I even put some of the ink directly into the blender. Which makes cool effects, but was nearly impossible to clean back off. Thank you for your tip. 😭
@@certifiedgoblinoid4296 sameee one of my friends let me use her's and I was so confused! I had to watch a whole entire video to learn how to use it 😂 even Jazza, one of the holy grail artists in RUclips didn't know how at first, so it completely fine :)

One of my favourite ways to work with my Premier pencils and my alcohol markers are to mix them! You can use prismacolours to enhance the alcohol markers over top but you can also use the alcohol ink to help blend your pencils!
this was so helpful thank you! been doing oils, watercolors, and digital for years but finally getting my first set of alcohol markers in the mail soon. can't wait to experiment!
Thank you so much for this video, your way of explaining is understandable and digestible, I love that you did section reviews that we can screenshot ! Multi medium is also my favorite, that’s why I chose to start marker, thank you for making it less daunting :)
For the high lighting part, there are pens that are made for that kind of stuff, they have white ink in it! That’s what I use🥰 I love ur art and I’m getting these same kind of markers soon! This video really helped me and I’m so excited for when I get them🥰
I am very thankful for this video! I was preparing for my three biggest art projects I've done in my life and this had done WONDERS✨️❗️ I've never used alcoholic markers until that moment and your video and tips simply got burned into my mind from how immaculate they are
Hey this is seriously the BEST video about markers I’m now gonna try and draw a butterfly…. Idk if it is gonna work out but your type of explanation really helps and it is pretty calming 😊❤️
I'm a watercolor color artist, so, honestly I just wanted some background noise as I ordered dinner. I figured there'd be some commonality, but this video is far more valuable to me as a watercolor artist than I realized. I'm even screenshotting the section reviews; Thanks! Side note if your art was this amazing 2 years ago, I definitely need to subscribe & see what you're doing in 2024 & beyond.
This is my first video of yours and I'm an instant subscriber!! This is exactly what I was looking for for a practical instruction video, and your style is so fun to watch I immediately put more videos of yours on in the background while I started cooking
I just ordered Artify Markers a few days ago and now I'm doing research lol. As someone who never colors in their art this is very new to me and I'm sooo nervous but excited. I'm getting my Markers tmr so I'm probably gonna watch this so many times.

Hello, I absolutely loved your video. I’m just now getting into alcohol markers, and I was wondering if you had a specific sketch paper you use with these markers.
You says you aren't as skilled as *insert other youtuber whose name I've forgotten* but. Man, to the artists who say, "Oh I'm not as good', and everytimmme it's a bold faced L I E. Except when I say it. Cause I'm just getting back into traditional mediums. I like digital ccause I mess up a shit ton, and like to redo something again and again, until I like it.
I have a lot of methods actually! -Plan a really nice drawing/painting and draw it on the first page -OR draw it on a separate piece of paper and tape it in -Just mess up the first page and don't worry about it (paint it a solid color, scribble, doodle, just overall make it seem less overwhelming) -Tape other doodles you like onto that messed up first page -Paint over it later with something nice -Put stickers all over it -Make a scrapbookish page and tape in pretty things to give it nice pops of color (I literally taped some real flowers onto the first page of my current Sketchbook) Basically, if it's bugging you don't worry about it! You can always draw on it/paint over it later. I don't really like the drawing on the first page of my current Sketchbook so I'll probably just paint over it or tape in something else later! I hope this was helpful 💕
This was super informative and helpful and makes me want to get out my markers again... Also absolutely love your artwork, all of the pieces you showed were so pretty
The tips are super helpful and I liked that there's a summary/key pointers in every section you talk about. The overall video is so chill, visually stunning, and entertaining to watch. Heck, I don't even use alcohol markers but this helped me to reconsider. :))
Omg YES! Thank you SO much, I had recently bought alcohol markers and was struggling with them😅. Your video came out just in time, now I'm looking forward to try and apply gained knowledge :D
Do you guys have any tips on how to color lighter skin when you have darker marker tones? I have a set of alcohol markers but all the possible skin tones are way darker than some of the skin tones I want to draw

I think your art is great ❤ but there still a few white spot missed and there's no light and dark on it so your drawing look flat, you should try to identity what tools you use and look at it on tutorial. It will greatly help your coloring better and make your drawing became more lively

Thanks for the tip! I just recently started using the blender so I only had my very limited experience to go off of xD
I was so confused when I was using them! I was like "is this just an eraser what"
@@keirabraun8348 Sort of? One of the ways I use a colorless blender is to very carefully use it to kind of "push" the color back into the line art.
