In this episode, Kerry Muhlestein and Andrew Skinner discuss what the Holy Week is, and why it is important, and why we should commemorate it. They talk about the traditions of other faiths and how it can and should be meaningful for Latter-day Saints. They then explore the meaning, and power of Palm Sunday, and how it can affect us today.
We are grateful for our sponsor, Lisa Spice, and for our producer, BJ Muhlestein, and for Rich Nicholls, who composed and plays the music for this podcast.

This commentary helped me realize how much satan lies to me every day. I am devoted to my Savior totally. I see now how satan hates my devotion. I must be of great worth to my Lord, otherwise satan wouldn’t be working so hard on me. You have given me more spiritual strength and resolve! Thank you💕

I think you are right. If we didn't matter, Satan wouldn't try so hard to stop us. May we all keep pressing forward in the service of our King!

I love how you expressed this. None of The Lord’s servants will be out of Satan’s sights until Christ takes care of him. We must be ever vigilant, the temple is an extremely important to our daily resilience. We must also stay on top of all negative emotions because that is an invitation for the adversary to get in and work us over. We are bound to Christ so we have the capacity to recognize and respond to nefarious actions against us.
The Holy Ghost will tell you all things whatsoever you should do.

Yesterday, Palm Sunday, we were in the Red Cliffs Temple with President Eyring for the temple dedication. Hundreds of us were able to be in rooms in the temple that had been prepared to accommodate us so we could participate in the dedication. It was extraordinary to be in the temple on any Sunday, but especially significant that it was Palm Sunday and we were able to offer the Hosannah shout together. Very, very special.

I love your testimony of the infinite Atonement of Jesus Christ at the end of this podcast. Of course, the first part and the middle part are also amazing; but such a testimony of the Savior! Can't beat it!

Kerry, thank you for having a Palm Sunnday walk and inviting everyone. I went on the walk with 3 children. There was a bond a common purpise. I loved the songs that we sang.

Thank you for another wonderful discussion, you always open my mind and heart to a greater understanding of our Heavenly Father, our Savior and the priceless gift of His Atonement. I’m so very grateful for the Gospel and God’s merciful plan of salvation.
As a side note, I binge watched Relative Race after Dan was on your podcast. So many tender mercies for the contestants. Fun to watch the attitude with many to win the $50,000 to realizing money cannot replace family.
Blessings to you and your family for all you are doing to prepare the way for the Saviors glorious return!

Can you give more detail on the palm sunday walk? Where is this happening and what did you do?

Cheryl, we did it on Palm Sunday, starting on the Murdock Canal Trail in Lindon and we ended at the Lindon Temple. About 200 people came, and we had a wonderful time! We will do it again next year!

How long is the walk and is that distance scriptural ?

We did the walk last Sunday. I am not sure how long it was. It was not a scriptural distance. It was from where there was a good parking lot along the Murdock Canal trail to the temple, just long enough to make it a good walk, and not too long.
