- I Love MultiVersus so far, But I want to give my honest thoughts on Multiversus So far with everything in the game so far. MulitVersus has alot of bad press in alot of areas, so today I wanted to give my Multiversus Review 1 week into the game, just have a nice casual conversation about the game and what's happening and the future with the game!

I like how most people I see complaining about Multiversus never shit on the devs. Though we have Warner Bros. out here milking the shit out of this game, and now Pixar exexts cutting staff in half and shitting on new ideas, it’s nice to see the general public focusing their hatred towards those at the top that are meddling in passion projects.
Unfortunately, I see so many people targeting PFG specifically.
I love this game, but I really don't want it to die. I have been enjoying it even without the occasionally disconnects.

Yea the game has problems but people are getting extremely negative towards the game, it is just been a week but people want everything already
There’s a lot of leaks about XP and currency events in the near future and we’ll get patches with the time but people looks like don’t even want to give it a chance
My real problem is the same point you made about the characters don’t feeling fun anymore, In the beta I was top Velma but now she’s not an option, they destroyed her
Jus be patient guys let the devs cook, if you don’t feel the game is worth it by season 2 that’s ok but giving on it on a week? That’s crazy

I like you bringing up the issue with consistency in moves like when you mention Arya. I’ve been trying out Rick and I can combo his portal off jab in training mode, but when I go online it only connects 1 out of every 5 times I try to use it no matter the character or percent they are on. Like I don’t mind the speed but I want more consistency in moves.

I have faith that this game will be around for a while. The iconic characters and the silent majority who just play without constantly going online will easily keep it alive. And the devs care. They're doing big work.

i really like your opinions on this and ur like the only youtuber that makes multiversus content i watch. im sick of all of these videos hating on this new release and just hopping on the bandwagon. the issues can be frustrating and its missing some features but it just needs more time. people tend to think so negatively about new releases and it just doesnt help anybody.

I fell off Multiversus this time around a lot faster than when the Beta dropped. Not entirely sure if its just due to feeling the same old already or not being huge into platform fighters in the first place. The WB greed didnt help however and while I also think Rifts could have been something cool, I found them to be too bland and locking a char behind it like you said is just uncool. I hope some update will interest me in the future, but being able to barely squeeze through the corridor as IG on Dexters Lab was enough for me for now...
I had that Velma glitch yesterday and while fighting Jason as well , maybe it just happens with those 2 characters?

I dont think its bad but i feel they need to tweek some characters and maps out. make it so you can turn off the map projectiles and some moves that are hard to pull off do more damage

How they balance characters the next two weeks will determine if players who are still playing it will want to continue playing it. Lastly, regular show and Gumball characters need to be on this game before anybody else

I mainly have a hard time sbmm. Because wow, one match where I clap, and the next matches after I play against super sweets. Both sides it's not very fun
I don't even know what would save the game at this point, i just feel like there's just not a lot to work for or earn so you don't feel like your making any meaningful progress.
they just updated the game, so now you get XP for pvp games now!
@@Avataryaya I played one game since the patch and still broken on Xbox and u get 10xp for a win a 5xp for loss I’m gaining so much progress 💀
@Avataryaya 5xp how greedy they will get, people made the calculation and how the BP progress is shows that no matter what no one will be able to complete it.

Changing engine from UE4 to UE5, was the worst decision they made. Not everyone gets a 2nd chance like that in the industry and they fumbled hard. Now they're playing catch up again! MVS is in Open Beta 2024 edition.

Bruh they REMADE EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH. And they did that in just ONE YEAR. Give them time damn. It basically is an open beta but look how much they've done in that extremely short amount of time? The games far superior to the open beta in everyway. Yes it still has bugs and some features missing but that'll be fixed in time very shortly. They made TREMENDOUS improvements to this game in such a small amount of time. It's not their fault they are forced to release the game before it's fully fleshed out. That's just business. Even fully priced triple AAA games have a lot of issues upon release. This is a small team small budget and look what they've done. Be grateful for what you have and be patient. It's very sad you cannot appreciate what they've done with this game so far.

@@Avataryaya I dont see how it's worse. maybe people just don't remember how bad the og beta was for a few months till they finally updated a lot of things to improve hit boxes etc. this release I think was great. Some bugs like every other game but overall the net code is incredible. It feels more like a real fighting game. Can't just mash attacks and dodge for free. And compared to majority of free games I've played their prices seem fair. Most people already have all characters unlocked and the banners and skins. So they're only able to make money off new players rn really. They need to make some money to stay online. I've spent a little just to support it. But for the people complaining this is worse than beta or dumbest decision ever to change engines like come on now be reasonable. I think most just don't remember how bad beta really was. They say it was better yet none of them were even playing the beta. I was even until it got shut down. Most the people complaining wishing for the beta stopped playing weeks after the game came out but yet they say the beta is better? Bunch of trolls lol

I get what you’re saying about game speed. I definitely prefer faster games coming from Guilty Gear, and playing Street Fighter feels too slow. However, I'm glad slower games exist. There should be space for everything and a slower game is a valid game design choice.
Great points, thanks for the video. I think the speed is alright, it’s up to taste and I don’t think having a competitive community alone would be able to carry this game.
I do think they changed a lot of stuff that didn’t need to be changed and didn’t even fix some of the stuff that needed to be. Velma is super unfun to play at this point, went from my favorite to least favorite character. Also we get so little character currency. I’d rather be able to unlock characters slowly but surely for free and just pay for the skins I love. The battle pass is awful, too, as you said.
Super agreed on games not dying. So many people get hung up on what other people are playing and what they enjoy that they don’t stop to care about what they themselves enjoy. I started playing Vampire Savior on Fightcade recently and I’ve been able to get matches almost every night in spite of it being a nearly 30 year old game.

For those in the comments yall gotta understand this hate doesn't come from nowhere they time to work on it before the beta and alpha releases had time to work on during the time period of those releases then shutdown the game for an entire year to work on it i seen Mod teams of 3 completely redesign a game and their budget was just working at starbucks im talking such games as skyrim, fallout, bioshock, etc. what is their excuse when they have a multi billion dollar company behind their back just put things into perspective
Multiversus sucks. I had really high hopes and as fan of the idea I’ll continue to support the game. I wish it only the best in the future but the beta version wasn’t that great it had a ton of underlying issues and this official release seems like a step back or even a step in a completely different direction than they were going for originally. There is fun to be had with the game obviously but for someone like me who’s been gaming for over 2 decades I’m not easily impressed. The detrimental changes that were made no one asked for so it just doesn’t make sense and only leaves me to question whether PFG is up to the task on delivering a complete game. The beta version of Multiversus and Official version seem like two completely different games using the same resources.
