What Bungie wanted was o make a different game for a change of pace and not just be stuck with a single franchise, MS wanted more Halo such as the fans, so when the obligatory games were finished and the contract wasn't renewed, they decided to sell the franchise and each party was happy with the decission. This is an hypothetical scenario, but I believe Bungie would have still made Halo if a new contract with MS allowed them to publish one game they want to make, then Halo, then another game they want to make and then the next Halo.

There is no story to tell after Halo 3. Bringing the covenant back in Halo 4 was contrived. The only opportunities is extra stories earlier in the timeline or parallel like ODST. Something like First Strike showing the events that took place between 1 and 2. You overtake a ship fueling station and steal a covenant ship, a lot happens.
Oh, I am 100% sure the covenant will be less threatening. Almost all of the 343 creations made by Master Chief or other Spartans look badass at the expense of the covenant. It's most likely going to be how cool master chief is and how he is defeating Covenant single-handed while the rest of the normal people in UNSC is incompetent.
Tbf those assets they showed were initially just meant to be an internal exercise for the art team and weren’t going to be made public, I imagine marketing just wanted to use them to make the studio rebrand a bit more exciting.
Halo is too slow paced because of the TTK in multiplayer. On top of weapon balancing. We need new guns, FREE camos, and in-depth character customization. . Their aiming gimmick is outdated. I played BO3 zombies with Halo weapons, and aiming down sights was soo cathartic!! . I Trust them with the campaign. . Let's see new game modes, new aliens, new planets! I want to want the next Halo! But I haven't since Halo 4 over 10 years ago.
This is Halo Infinite pre-game footage all over again. Everyone gets hyped and forget to wait for an actual game to come out before realizing its not great. While this rebrand looks positive everyone should temper their expectations until we see a real and finished product players are playing (and enjoying). Remember: Its still in the same 343 building, with a lot of the same staff, and still under Microsoft with the contractor limits.
Contractor limits should now not be an issue due to unreal engine being pretty much industry standard, all the contractors brought on board would know how to use it day one so no more 6 months of training, plus pretty much all of 343s management were fired so from a company standpoint it should be different. The problem is Microsoft can still interfere with the making of the game and ruin everything again but at least it’s a good step forward.
@@king_dot Yeah if the people working on it are not directly working for Microsoft then no contract limits. However if they are then its still part of MS mandatory contractor policy and will still be an issue if they work at the Halo Studios in person.

The original Halo gave us something truly unique, not just visually, but emotionally. We connected with it on a level that made it unforgettable. Ever since, we've been waiting for that magic to return-but it hasn't. What Halo really needs isn’t just better graphics; it needs fresh ideas. To succeed, it must offer us a new experience, pushing the story far beyond where it currently stands. Creativity costs money, and they need to invest in that instead of just milking what was first created. It’s a simple concept: just because we love a song doesn’t mean we want to hear it on repeat.

@@Zhtrikhalo isn't gonna die cause it's going on PlayStation. It'll die (again) if it's just a new studio continuing to make slop games
@@spanishginger I think it’s a blow to Halo’s identity though, kinda like if Mario was on Xbox. Don’t you think something would feel…off.
@@Zhtrik it's a blow to make it available on the more popular platform? People don't buy xboxes anymore. PlayStation is the default console. Even if the new halo could be slop, it being available to a new audience could give it sales revival due to curiousity

for real though. How can all these companies keep destroying all our beloved franchises and lose so much money? Its spiritual warfare. They are attacking our imaginationland! xD

New leadership, new employees, new game engine, new studio name to represent it all.
Hell yes!
you're in for a rude awakening, my friend lol
Look up The 3 girls they showed in the trailer😢 halo is cooked before it even starts

By the way, they only show still and slow motion shots to hide the TAA artifacts. Unreal 5 isn't going to save Halo
besides we never needed to have 16K resolution for a halo game to be good
They basically said the same thing when they were hyping up the new fabulous ‘’SlipSpace Engine’’ haha cant take em seriously anymore for real!
“It’s not a game its a research project.” 3:00. Nah, research implies you’ve *learned* something.
Yeah they "learned " how to copy old assets into UE5...
Wonder what the last 3 games they put out were.... Wouldn't that be research. I feel like they have so much research ready by now.
No, it doesn't. Research is what you do to learn something.
@@Tartersauce101 Yeah, it does. It *implies* that, after you’ve completed the process of Research, you’ve learned something from that process.

Halo 3 campaign was peak childhood man
Pretty but utterly hollow. I DONT CARE if the graphics are rendered down to the pubic hair on Master Chief's balls. I want a good story and fun combat. I've been shown NOTHING that indicates that has changed from 343.
It’s been the same combat and enemy types since Halo CE. As long as they keep it that way and improve on the visuals. The game will be fine.
Infintes combat was really good tho, its everything elsd they can't handle

"this is the game" Immediately the developer "it's not a game it's a research project" 😂😭

The first line doesn’t mean game literally.
The second line refers to the foundry project, saying it’s literally not a game.
@@cyphoah8748 Foundry is a game.
@@cyphoah8748 It's ok. You can admit that Asmongold rambles about shit he doesn't know about.
I can see one of two ways they could pull this off.
1. Lean heavily on the lore and make it a human vs covenant, but a master chief as a new spartan, before the halo days.
Or
2. A new and interesting enemy, fighting along side the covenant, with chief and the arbiter
