I can't handle people who hold sticks like that 😂 sorry but it's personal preference. I just lay my index finger on the paddle. I feel like I have more control and it's not as awkward

Gotta way, I'm very surprised by the amount of people who are holding the stick that way. The index finger is literally useless with it just laying there along the paddle. That's why so many pros go with the little notch now: you're supposed to "trigger grip" but they want to protect their finger a bit more than I do. Sometimes I might even double trigger grip it (two fingers) if I know there's a particularly heavy shooter.
GoalieCreaseNet yeah I have alot of strength the way I hold it honestly! just resting my index finger on the paddle I have alot of strength. I can turn really hard shots to the corner like nothing

Tomy, what size pads are they? I tried the EFlexIII in 35+1 a few weeks ago and they felt a little big, but I've been wearing old, undersized pads for a while. I'm 6'4" with an 18" ATK.
Any chance you want to part with that 1s glove in ranger colors?

you have so many sticks is it possible I could get one mine just broke and i dont have any more money for a good one
I got my E Flex III's two months ago. I jumped from Junior to Intermediate which made the width jump. I just used them on the ice a second time and got more used to the size. But I find the knee pad too stiff. Is there any way to change it for a softer one? It looks sewn into the front of the pad and doesn't look easy to change. Also there is a weird cut into the edge of the knee pad that looks totally custom to this model. Any help appreciated....
Hmmm.. it's definitely sewn and I don't think you can change it. But I'm not that familiar with the intermediate ones, so it could be different than the pros I use. Sorry I can't be much more help!
So, is there any way you can customize the color of the elastic straps on the eflex 3?
I think the only choices are black and white.
What is the main difference of the EflexIII and the Premier. Do you think you could make a comparaison review?
Wish I could; I don't have the Premiers anymore. The biggest differences are the stiffness of the Pemiers and the active rebounds of them, too.
Hey Tommy I'm 6 feet with FTK of 20 and I'm barely landing on knee stacks if my eflex 2s. Where are you landing on your knee block? Do you just have long shins?
I wear oversized knee guards, so I come down smack dab in the middle.
why do you get red/white colored pads and the classic goaliecreasenet colored pads? And is there any way to tell what break your glove is, i have an all white eflex 2 and bought from a store.
I usually run two color ways: the navy/light blue/white, and then a red/white set, too. That's because I often play on teams with both color ways. For the break question, I'd suggest watching the glove break comparison video and seeing if you can compare it to that. That's probably easiest if you the glove no longer has the tag on it.
would the new leg channel material be similar to what was in the XLT pads
That's a great observation, and I think you're right. Pretty sure my XLTs either had this same material or something very like it.
What do you do with your old pads and you should do a pad collection
At one time I had 5 sets at once, lol. After a while I sell old sets or give them away to goalies in need.

How long did you have to wait for them to come in? I've heard 4 weeks from places and 12 from others, so just curious as to how long yours took to come in.
+Zac Gilmour The standard is 12 weeks but they’ve been running short lately. So I ordered my new set on like 8/20 and they’re due to be in 11/10, but they might be in as soon as 10/25. Definitely not four weeks though.. whoever told you that is wrong, haha!

I've heard that the double t also deadens the puck a lot more than the single t.
I can see how that would be. But I've also never had a puck randomly bounce out of my single T glove, so not really sure if that's a true benefit, haha.

How would I transition into these pads from someone using Brians for many years?
+Kevin Qiao I've used Brian's a little bit with minimal effort. You'll have to get used to a bit more flex and softer rebounds but that's about it. The gloves aren't crazy different.
Comparing 590 EFlex and Premier gloves, is there any difference in feel? It seems quite similar, maybe except the cuff shape. Thanks.
Nope, no difference in feel whatsoever. That's something I really, really like about CCM gloves: you can switch between models and get the same feel you're used to. Love it.

I REALLY appreciate that, Helle! To be honest, I need to lose another 20 pounds at least. I had gotten up to 236, down to 190, and now I'm at 210. There are some who have said I actually look healthier at between 200-210, but I'd of course like to be an athletic 190 or even 180, haha! Still working on it, though.. it's a battle! I have THE CCM Premier R1.9 glove. To breake it in i have watched your video. I've already done it 2 times and its is still not broaken in. Can you please help me. ^^

Weird! I have heard of a couple instances of it not working with lesser quality gloves, but I would think it would work with the R1.9.
Quick Question, what made you decide to use 2 straps instead of 3? What benefit is there to that?
More than anything I chose it because I believe that's the stock option. I always kept that lower calf strap really loose, anyway, so it's no loss for me to simply get rid of it. I'll save a tiny bit in weight and time putting the pad on, but that's it, haha.
Zach Boudreau back when ccm was developing the premiere line, they did some testing with Michigan State University or someplace down there and they determined that the only strap that really helps get the pad to the ice faster is the upper calf strap, I think there are a few videos of it. My premiers came stock like that and I love it!

Why is my eflex glove so stiff then
Not sure. If you bought it retail, generally they're stiffer than custom. Try my glove break-in method to get it working nicely!

Why would gripping the paddle with the index finger be better than laying the index finger flat over the paddle? Seems awkward and excessive. Why not just grip it with all four fingers on the shaft?
saul alvarado if you grip the paddle with 1 or however many fingers you wanna use it gives you a better grip of the stick and if you take a shot of the paddle "especially paddle down" the stick will stay in your hand instead of sliding across your hand. It's all personal preference tho so try it out and maybe you'll like it
The finger in that case is useless just laying there on the paddle. Doesn't offer any additional support because it doesn't have any leverage or grip on anything. That's why so many pros get the notch in their sticks now; they "trigger grip" to get more control.

Haha, I switch between gear pretty regularly and keep very good care of it so it looks pretty new still. Plus all the blue didn't help show too many puck marks. My future ones will, though!

Why can't you? Go to her and tell her. Then come up with a plan together to see if you can make it happen! Doesn't hurt to try!
I hope he knows that a double t isn't so you can see the puck lol I thought that was funny. it gives you a deeper pocket and it holds onto the puck better. if you are a goalie that likes to hold onto the puck the double t is better but you can't feel the puck in the pocket as much were as a single t is more shallow you can feel the puck better and it's easier to get it out of the glove to play it.
It's for both, actually. The depth of a T is restricted, so you can theoretically have the same size single T as a double T; the depth in this case would be the same and would hold on to the puck similarly. The benefit of a double T is also to be able to see the puck more clearly in the pocket, especially when catching a puck right in front of your face. But to each his own!

Funny enough, I believe it comes from an interview I saw from Luongo. Spent a little time trying to find it, because I know I've seen or read it from him somewhere.

salman13 Agreed! I only do unbiased, objective reviews, regardless of how I get the pads. So you'll hear the good, any issues, and any concerns I have for future use, and then I do follow ups in later livestreams, where anyone can ask any questions about them. I think you'll find it very comprehensive with the good and bad!
