Totally agree with what you said about goaliemonkey, great company. Lucky for me I live nearby one of their stores and I always go to their store. I get great help, get to see all the fresh gear, and try it on.

How were you able to get the velcro calf straps to be black? Did you have to do something special, or do they come black automatically when you get black internal? (I've only seen white before your video, and will be ordering some soon). Also, the side knee flap that you dont like - to confirm, you dont strap your knee and if you did, that flap would be locked in and not free to the side?
Hmmmm not sure. I wonder if they only have black and white and they match to the leg channel color. I just ordered a black leg channel and so it came with black elastic.
That's correct that I don't strap to the knee. I strap to below the knee/top of the calf. But even if I had a knee lock in there, it wouldn't be locked in; this is the pro outer knee pad, which doesn't attach in that way.
what's your opinion on blocker binding? some pros still use it. do you think it actually affects the puck, rolling off the blocker? I think the blocker binding looks pretty cool, on the CCM/Reebok blockers, at least.
Really, my only opinion is that it's ugly as hell. It always gets dirty faster than other parts of the equipment, so those goalies end up with some weirdo black outline on their blockers. Lol I've never heard a good reason why these goalies use binding. I don't think it makes any performance difference whatsoever. But, hey, whatever floats your boat!

Maybe this has been asked before but I find the original CCM premier to be better than the second generation so I went back to it any thoughts on that? I’m talking body length and elbows fit wise
For the chesty? I definitely like my 2017 version better than my 2016. The 2016 had arm and deltoid protection issues that I and others experienced. So far I haven't had any protection issues in the 2017, though to your point I do wish there were some more tightening points on the elbow, as it can be a bit loose.
Hey great video! Just curious, I got my eflex 3s yesterday and I've been using bauer knee guards all my life but it wasn't a good combination with these pads. Just wondering what kind you use for the eflex 3s? Thanks
I use the Koho 589 Swiss Pro knee guards and LOVE them!! Definitely get a pair!

I bought a set of Eflex III’s off eBay, blocker is ok, but the catcher has the typical broken one piece cuff. I am sending that out for repair this weekend. Love the eflex III line, will you review the CCM Premier II’s or are you staying with the Eflex line?
That's so interesting. I've definitely seen others with that broken one piece cuff, but in all my Reebok/Koho/CCM sets, I've never had that happen to me, and I'm not sure why. Honestly it could be because I switch sets very often, so I don't use it enough to eventually wear the plastic down to that level of durability. As for the P2s, I probably won't review those. I'll stick with the EFlex line for now.
GoalieCreaseNet I hope to get out and use the EFlex 2s that I picked up used. Also gonna get out and use my Bauer Vapor 1 skates I picked up. I need to have them baked, perhaps your connection at Goaliemonkey knows how long they have to be baked for and what temp?

+Splitz66 99 Yeah, he’s not wrong. I’ve just always thought it looked weird. Lol Well that’s not true.. looked good on the old Reactor 6 Glove but it kind of fit with that design. Doesn’t quite fit aesthetically with the CCM style. Still, whatever works best for you!

How is the overall durability with these? I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 3.9's.
GREAT! Or at least it has been for me. I know someone whose blocker has gotten some tears in some weird areas, but I'm not sure why or how.

More than anything I just really hate the P31 curve. It's a ridiculous curve and I can't work with it.

I haven't put them up anywhere yet but will. Got a couple buddies interested, and if it means not having to go through the hassle of shipping, that's typically the route I go with sticks, ha!

I believe that was about 8 weeks. If I remember correctly I ordered them at the end of August.

I usually keep it around a year or so until the new models come out and then sell the old stuff to make up for camera, videography, software, hardware, etc costs.

This is the tight leg channel; not super tight as some others have.

Are all custom order Eflex 3 China made?
So I've heard varying things. I've heard the pros still get Canadian made gear. But a few years ago even the pros were getting Chinese made gear. So honestly I don't know the answer of whether all custom gear is Chinese made, but I do believe all non-pro custom orders are Chinese made.
What are your exact specs for your CCM's?
35+1", tight leg channel, two calf straps, one strap under the knee, no knee lock, deep boot. 600 break glove, single T. I think that's it!

If you ever do another unboxing you should try out Bauer :) Haha i get it you support ccm as i support bauer. Big believer in bauer, not so much ccm. :)

Still too much red to use padskinz; for example, the outer gusset is all red on that set. Plus I like new stuff. :)
lol, well i know im skinny, on my efex3 pad straps i do 9 and 8 while you do 4 and 3

GoalieCreaseNet I also don't wear goalie socks so that contributes, but what really proves how skinny I am is that the strap I put to 8 still has quite a bit of slack against my leg
