+GoalieCreaseNet I'm simple dimple kind of guy going to try and match black and white.....just unsure about all the pad settings and strapping. still wearing my revokes and after 5 years I find all the straps useless lol so still unsure about it all.
Just bought some Premiers and hit the ice with them today. Holy cow is that ever a lively pad. Who needs rebound control after all? Took a slapshot and deflected it halfway down the ice in these bad boys! In all seriousness though, this review was very helpful for me and spot on - Thanks!
Funny, my team has the same colors as your pads. Cool! Also I saw you on Total Goalie 's channel and I wanted to know your personal opinion on the Bauer 1S OD1N set.
+Nick Corbin Hey, Nick! Good choice of colors, then, haha! As for the OD1Ns, I wish I could give a more in depth review, but since I only used them for one session, I really can't, other than what I've said before: pads are crazy light, strapping is extremely adjustable, and I like the knee lock. Glove is very protective, and blocker is nicely balanced to the outside. Otherwise, I'm hoping to get in a set and give you all a more long-term review! Thanks, Nick!
great vids!! I have a question maybe you may have a answer. I was building a goalie glove on ccm site I chosed a senior glove and later on the conf tool asked what palm {senior ,int,} do you know if that will change overall glove size if I choose int palm...keep up awesome vids!!!
I had a practice where I took three shots in a row off my blocker index finger. Since Brian's gloves have somewhat big palms and I have small-ish hands (7" palm heel to tip of middle finger) I had 0 protection. I've never thought of adding foam to the index finger, and it would've saved having to puncture my fingernail to get rid of the blood blister.
+MyCrEaSe Absolutely. The outer break is the one on the outside; the inner break is on the inside. There's several kinds: no break, which is EXTREMELY stiff; single break, which is below the knee and allows for a stiffer thigh portion, and double break, which allows for the most flexibility in the knee and thigh area. There's also several options in the thigh area, including stiff and pre-curved, so it maintains extra curve to close the five hole. Hope that helps!
It makes the foam two completely different pieces that are held together by the cord you see on the front and back of the pad. Here's a good picture of how Reebok and CCM show it when ordering: i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/eghatchattack/legpadbreak_zpsc025494a.jpg
Single internal and single external break. So I have one internal break that also breaks on the outside for greater flex, but still gives me a lot of stiffness in the thigh.
A little help for a beer leaguer. I need to move up from a CCM E-FLEX 500 catcher (small hands). I’ve been looking at some good deals on the RBK XLT pro, KOHO 589 pro, and the CCM R1.9. You’ve played with all three (though the pro version of the CCMs). How do the RBK and KOHO stack up over time or is the R1.9 quality enough to give up the pro palm. I take shots from Intermediate-advanced in AK and Canada.
I think I answered this before.. so hopefully I answer it the same, lol. I haven't used the R1.9 but I have heard good things about it. That said, I'd personally go with a pro glove, either the XLT or 589. My preference would go to the 589, funny enough, as I LOVED that glove, and there are some small differences between that and the XLT. But really you can't go wrong with either one, or even with the R1.9.
GoalieCreaseNet thanks. As it happens I got some good advice on your FB and went with the 589. Very impressive with only one game so far. Thanks also for your break in technique. Worked well on both that an my previous CCM.
a couple custom order questions. 1) is the baby blue ccm's "light blue" 2) is the boot on your pads shallow stiff or soft? maybe that led to the side difference 3) what flex option? 4) strappings? 5) Is the T offset can you just list all your options? lol
Yup, that's light blue. The boot is shallow stiff. Flex is single break at the knee with straight curve on the thigh. No offset T. :) Other options.. are there any? LOL HD foam toe ties, tight fit calf, and one knee leather strap with two straps on the calf. Removable boot strap. I think that's it, haha!
Hey Tommy nice vid man, you answered almost all of my questions. I have just one that keeps floating around. I know you didn't have a whole lot of time in the Bauer Od1ns but how would you say these compare? I keep going back and forth which leg pads I want to go with and you are the only source I know that has worn both pairs on the ice. Anything differ greatly between the two other than weight and straps that stick out in your mind? Thanks!
+evilakurei To be fairly honest, the only other difference I can really say since I didn't have a great opportunity to use the OD1Ns is that the Bauer pads get dirty REALLY quickly. I've used the Premiers 20+ times and they barely have any puck marks. I wore the OD1Ns for one session and they looked like I had used them a full season. It was pretty crazy. Whatever material their outer layer is, it gets dirty QUICKLY. Now, of course I don't mind that, but without using them more I honestly couldn't give much more of a comparison between their performances. Hopefully in the future I can! Thanks, Evil!
+GoalieCreaseNet That is exactly the kind of insight I was looking for. Thanks so much. It would be great if they slicked you up with a set to put to the test for a month or two I'd really like to see how they hold up with all the new materials etc.
Agreed! I'm working on seeing if I can get a set in here, as it certainly felt great during the demo. Thanks for the comment and for stopping by, Evil!
+Alexander Rohlf I'd really, really like to, but it's not looking like I will. I reached out, but no one will contact me back. Oh well! If things chance I'll let you know!
+Eggethe Ww The +1 is an additional inch of depth on the pocket of the glove. It's illegal in the NHL, but the supposed benefit is it cradles the puck better. Hope that helps!
Hi Tommy i am trying to decide which stick i should get, i have the warrior ritual VR1 stick but i would like to get the ccm premier stick so can you make a video about the ccm premier stick so i can learn more about the stick ?
+aapo peltotalo Well, Reebok doesn't make it anymore; it's now all CCM. But I've never tried any Warrior gear so I can't comment about it. I do love my CCM stuff, though!
+Luke Mac It matches my old team and just kind of became "my" color scheme. Everyone now expects this color scheme from me; plus, it matches the Goalie Crease Network logo, lol.
+Jeremy Greiss Bauer makes some great sticks, so I don't blame you! I like to try a lot of different sticks.. plus, I have two main color ways, haha! (Plus my "neutral" colored sticks for when I get to try something new.)
+GoalieCreaseNet Yea pads these days are expensive so it's tough to try new pads so i stick to the pads I'm used to because if i buy expensive pads and don't like them, thats not very good.
+Jonathan Buckland Lundqvist puts his boot strap BEHIND his skate in a small loop that he had attached custom to the back of the skate boot. Now that little loop comes standard, and some goalies like it. I haven't tried it yet, though.
+andrew tuttle I absolutely think it's a good idea to try CCM.. I use them for a reason! As for sliding between the two, at the very least it's the same, and the Premiers might slide just a bit better. It'd probably be easier for me to really know if the Premiers weren't sized so big, but nonetheless they do slide incredibly well. Hope that helps!
Being a student, I could not dream about being able to afford this set. I have on the other hand joined their competiton to win a full set. Currently crossing fingers and everything that can be crossed!
+Mr. DiMaggio Yup, I have! The graphic looks really, really sharp in the right color scheme. It can also look really, really bad in the wrong color scheme, ha! But every pad is that way. I do like that they're going a bit more modern with the flat face. Gotta keep up with the competition!
There's not really a great comparison between these and the XLTs. These are way stiffer and allow more active rebounds. I never did quite get along with my XLTs.
+Reid Peterson If you're playing midget major and you're playing often, this is well worth the investment. You're going to want top of the line performance and protection so you can continue developing your game.
+Christian Jarrett There's a couple independent places out there who can do it, such as PAW (Protective Athletic Wear), which is Sara Marchand. There's another one calle SewzAll, I believe, who otherwise goes by Keeps33. Good luck!
Random question. What kind of cup are you using? I am new to net and am using a CCM 500 and experienced my first cup shot the other day and do not want to relive it. What is the best cup on the market and what are the pros and cons of double cupping? appreciate it in advance.
+James Gagnon I use the standard Reebok pro cup, which is what a LOT of pros use, but most use it with ANOTHER cup underneath of it, too. I don't since I don't play against true pros like they do. So I go with what the pros use, typically, and I've seen enough of the Reebok pro cups in their stalls to know it's a solid piece of equipment. Hope that helps!
@GoalieCreaseNetwork I am looking at both the Bauer supreme 1s full set and the Ccm premier pro full set in you opinion which ones did you like better, what where some pros and cons between the two if you wouldn't mind
I didn't use the 1s pads long enough to really compare them, honestly. But I do love my Premiers, and I would love the opportunity to use the 1s pads more.
+Jaiden Dubois It absolutely would, but the construction of the pad has a lot to do with how well it'll ever be broken in. I did my break-in method with these pads, and get the boot is still incredibly stuff due to its construction. Not a bad thing, but you definitely have to know that going in. Thanks, Jaiden!
Hey Tommy, I have ccm retro flex pads right now but am finding the pad rotates off the ice in butterfly. I like the ability to stretch out and get that split save with the flexible pad, but I am wanting to switch to a ccm premier or bauer 1s so the rotation doesn't happen. Is it still easy to "go to splitsville" in a butterfly pad?
Tommy, quick question for you... what's the best way to reach you? It's about sizing. I'm normally 36+2 so I'm wondering if I should get a 35" knee... 36" was always my pad in Reebok and CCM eflex.
+Book a Goalie This is definitely the best way; I'm notoriously bad with my GoalieCrease.Net email. I would definitely recommend going down an inch in these, as the boot is longer to keep it raised up on your skate.
+Nick Johansson I'm also 5'11". Honestly, I'd go with something like 33+2, maybe 34+1. Not sure I'd go any higher than that unless you're used to very oversized pads like I am and wear bulky knee guards. Hope that helps!
+GoalieCreaseNet Have to ask what is your Floor to knee measurment? I'm the same height at 5'-11" and tried 35+2 in the Bauer NXG and well the extra height caused me to strain my knee. Thinking my shin is shorter than yours. Thanks and awesome video.
How would you compare the glove and blocker to e flex 2 I bought the eflex 2 leg pads and ordered the glove and blocker so I'm kinda deciding if I should return and change
I use both interchangeably. There are differences and benefits to the Premier, but I like how well my EFlex2 broke in, so really you can go either way. If you got a good deal on the glove set, I'd keep them.
Question about breaking in a glove. I have had my glove for a year now and it is still hard to close. Will using your break in method fix the glove so it is not so stiff?
+goaliecreasenetwork Do the CCM Premier pads still run about a size bigger than typical pads? I ordered a custom set of these at 35+1.5 and im almost 6 foot 4. The reason for the 1.5 is because I had Bauer one.9s (36+2) before so the CCMs felt alittle big on thigh rise. Thanks
GoalieCreaseNet Dang, you look taller in your videos. You wear 35 + 2 pads!? Do you ever have issues with missing the knee stack when you butterfly? I'm the same height and when go down I come down on the bottom edge of the knee stack near the calf cradle in 35'' pads I wear 31 + 1 Brian's. Thanks for the info!
Nope! I wear very large knee guards so it always hits clean, fortunately! I know it's a bit odd given my height.. years of wearing oversized pads and bulky knee guards help!
Well, I kind of did that in this review by comparison the differences in foams. To be honest there's not a whole lot more to say, lol. But I might do a hangout this weekend and can compare them then.. stay tuned!
Hi. Now I'm playing with my Bauer NXG. I love them, but I have chance to play with new Ccm Premier. Can You help me? Witch combo do You recommend to me? Thank You
Great review Tommy. Looking into getting the glove custom with an intermediate interior. (tiny hands) rocking the eflex 2 860 gloves right now. do you recommend the 600, 590, or 580?
+ReganSmash83 Thanks, Regan! I've used all of the breaks and show the differences in this video: ruclips.net/video/2p9KX9b0wjI/видео.html . I mostly use the 590 now, as I like to play the puck and it has a great closure. Hope that helps!
+Reid Peterson I agree 100%! I'm going to be switching cameras for future reviews.. I wasn't happy with the technical quality of this one, and the camera has struggled with the white contrast in the past. Problem is when you have a large white or dark object (like long leg pads) that is continually getting closer and further away from the camera, and it struggles to keep up. But in the future I'm going to switch cameras and manually adjust it afterward. Thanks for the suggestions, Reid! I really appreciate it!
I would have preferred to see the padding on the top of the finger instead. I've gotten my finger pinched between my stick and the puck going paddle down, and boy it does not feel good.
+Justin C Interesting feedback. Was that when you were using a CCM blocker? I've taken a slapper right off my fist and didn't feel a thing.. that's the kind of awesome protection CCM and Reebok has had in their blockers for some time.
GoalieCreaseNet I was wearing a CCM eFlex1 500. My finger tips were along the ice and I guess I had my blocker facing a tad upward, just enough room for a puck to slide underneath the board of the blocker. It hit my fingers straight on, so it wasn't an issue of weak padding but a lack of padding.
Interesting. I haven't used the 500, but I had a few of those same situations with my pro EFlex1s, but I have a feeling there was padding there, as it extends down quite a bit. Nonetheless, I'll make sure to put in the suggestion!
Lol I was going to say I can't keep up with you lol I give up lol goalie equipment is a sick beautiful addiction . Btw I'm thinking about trying Vaughn Ventus lt98 set up just wondering if you hear good things from your total goalie buddies?
Interestingly, I haven't heard much about Vaughn lately. Mostly been CCM, Brian's, and Bauer lately. Very little Vaughn. It's a little concerning, lol.
+GoalieCreaseNet it's definitely concerning I'm thinking of switching to drop and block style butterfly again and not so much of hybrid these old muscles don't twice as fast. But I recommend Maria mountain. Rrgt 2.0 for goalies over 30 :)
I know this is an old video but I just bought P1s and went for my first skate last night. Had a really tough time with them, specifically finding the knee blocks rubbing together, inhibiting movement. Any idea why that would be? Also, what knee/thigh guards did you use with these? I'm using the knee guards that came with the pads and it feels like that is contributing.
Thanks i think I'm going to try the premiers
Awesome! Good luck!
I just ordered custom ccm extreme flex 2 pads. thanks
+Zach Lee Awesome! You're very welcome, Zach!
Nice video, can't wait to get the blocker and glove
+Todd Bosomworth It's a great set! Especially the glove, with the addition of the D3O foam in the palm. Nice, comfy, and protective.
great video, must get a custom set myself soon!
+MyCrEaSe I agree! Absolutely love the set! What colors are you thinking about?
+GoalieCreaseNet I'm simple dimple kind of guy going to try and match black and white.....just unsure about all the pad settings and strapping. still wearing my revokes and after 5 years I find all the straps useless lol so still unsure about it all.
Haha, not a bad place to be, really.. means the door is open to all sorts of possibilities. Well when you order them make sure to post up the pic!
+GoalieCreaseNet I will try and do that
Thanks
Wow they are so Nice!!
+jacob 10666 Agreed, Jacob!
Another great vid Tommy!
+Alex Vela Thanks a bunch, Alex!
Nice video. These pads look so cool.
+Bobby T. Thanks, Bobby!
cool I have ccm premiers to
+Joseph Shaw Awesome, Joseph!
Just bought some Premiers and hit the ice with them today. Holy cow is that ever a lively pad. Who needs rebound control after all? Took a slapshot and deflected it halfway down the ice in these bad boys!
In all seriousness though, this review was very helpful for me and spot on - Thanks!
+BiLLyB0B33 Told you, haha! Very glad to hear it was spot-on to what you experienced! Good luck with the pads, BillyBob!
Geez amazing set tommy 😊👌
+Louis-Philippe Beaulieu Thanks, LP!!
When will a review of the stick be out?
+Luke Olson Likely 1-2 weeks! I'd like to use it a few more times so I can talk about durability a bit more.
man you should get the warrior ritual g3 pro set it should be very good for you
Trying to get my hands on a set!
hey tommy can you review the pro koho pads
+David Nguyen I'm certainly hoping to! Things are looking good! Stay tuned!
+GoalieCreaseNet Cool, thanks.
great vids!! I have a question maybe you may have a answer. I was building a goalie glove on ccm site I chosed a senior glove and later on the conf tool asked what palm {senior ,int,} do you know if that will change overall glove size if I choose int palm...keep up awesome vids!!!
+RICK PEREIRA It won't change the overall size of the glove; it'll just change the finger stalls and palm within the glove.
+Stephen Groat Dang! That's crazy bad luck, lol. Also, sounds incredibly painful. Looks like you might've found your new blocker, then, haha!
Would you consider ever doing a Warrior Ritual G3 Review?
+Kevin Pettigrew Absolutely! I'm very hopeful to get a set in since that's one of my most requested reviews. Stay tuned!
How would you dis tube the difference between the premiers and Bauer supremes
There are many differences.. weight, squareness of the boot, materials, construction, leg channel. Way too many to list!
you should get Brians Net Zero pads thats what I want and i'm hoping for soon.
+Blake Severson I'd love to! Working on it!
Will the rebounds go right back out to the player or will it pop out into the corners
??
That's up to how good of a goalie you are, not the pad.
GoalieCreaseNet thanks tommy
When you unbox the premier stick was there more than one stick in the box and did you get it custom in a 1 pack or a 3 pack.
+TB Hockey Just a custom 1 pack! It was promotional; I don't think that's available to the public.
Ok thank's
Can you explain the different outer breaks...I believe that's on the inside of the pad? I understand it on the outside...
+GoalieCreaseNet it helps some what I just don't get the inner break...you can't see it...I guess it's worked in the material?
It makes the foam two completely different pieces that are held together by the cord you see on the front and back of the pad. Here's a good picture of how Reebok and CCM show it when ordering: i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/eghatchattack/legpadbreak_zpsc025494a.jpg
+GoalieCreaseNet thanks. ..what did you go with?
Single internal and single external break. So I have one internal break that also breaks on the outside for greater flex, but still gives me a lot of stiffness in the thigh.
How would you compare he weight between the NXG pads and the premier
+andrew tuttle Purely from feeling, the NXGs definitely seem far lighter, but they're also balanced way differently than the CCMs.
Tried the 1s stick yet
Can you review the Brians Sub Zero 3 leg pads?
I'd LOVE to and I'm hoping to get the chance.. still working on it!
Wrist option for the glove. Did you go with the webbing option or leather option?
Webbing
A little help for a beer leaguer.

a couple custom order questions.

+Eggethe Ww The +1 is an additional inch of depth on the pocket of the glove. It's illegal in the NHL, but the supposed benefit is it cradles the puck better. Hope that helps!

+aapo peltotalo Well, Reebok doesn't make it anymore; it's now all CCM. But I've never tried any Warrior gear so I can't comment about it. I do love my CCM stuff, though!
Ok
Why do always get blue gear? Great video
+The Miguelodon watched it on my other phone
+Luke Mac It matches my old team and just kind of became "my" color scheme. Everyone now expects this color scheme from me; plus, it matches the Goalie Crease Network logo, lol.
+GoalieCreaseNet ya nice colour
What kind of pads are the white ones to the bottom left of the screen beside the red/white sticks?
+Bradley Mitchell They're Koho 589s. Great pads!
Hey Tommy! I heard that Total Goalie have the set
Yup!
Do you clean the puck marks off your equipment?
Nope, these pads barely pick up puck marks. It's just about the opposite of the new Bauer pads, haha!
I play bantam AAA. I'm a goalie, im wearing ccm E-flex pads. for my next pair of pads should I get these or the E-flex 2's?
+Zach Lee If you're doing well with the EFlex pads, stick with the EFlex2s. No reason to change it up unless you're seeing your game suffer!
what's ur personal channel
+matthew mcdermott I don't have one anymore. I used to keep the channels separate but now they're all part of this channel.
Awesome video are you from Canada
+Noah macdonald Nope, from the States!
Do you like em?
I never realized how many sticks you have in the back round. I only got 3 sticks all Bauer. I'm a Bauer guy
+Jeremy Greiss Bauer makes some great sticks, so I don't blame you! I like to try a lot of different sticks.. plus, I have two main color ways, haha! (Plus my "neutral" colored sticks for when I get to try something new.)
+GoalieCreaseNet
Yea pads these days are expensive so it's tough to try new pads so i stick to the pads I'm used to because if i buy expensive pads and don't like them, thats not very good.
Absolutely agree!
Tomy! could you fill me in on the Lundqvist boot strapping as you've said in a previous vid?? thanks man!
+Jonathan Buckland Lundqvist puts his boot strap BEHIND his skate in a small loop that he had attached custom to the back of the skate boot. Now that little loop comes standard, and some goalies like it. I haven't tried it yet, though.
Did you notice which ones slide better between the NXG and the premier? And Do you think it's a good idea to try Ccm?
+andrew tuttle I absolutely think it's a good idea to try CCM.. I use them for a reason! As for sliding between the two, at the very least it's the same, and the Premiers might slide just a bit better. It'd probably be easier for me to really know if the Premiers weren't sized so big, but nonetheless they do slide incredibly well. Hope that helps!
Hi! What is the angle break of the glove? 590?
Yup, 590!
What's a better blocker. the eflex 860 or the premier pro?
Premier Pro for sure.
+GoalieCreaseNet ya I just got it and it feels so comfortable and light and I'm also loving the D30 foam
Awesome!
what is the difference between Senior and int glove? How big of a difference is it??
Sizing is the biggest difference and it is quite bit. The whole palm area is very different in size.
so for sizing you should go an inch smaller on these pads? I had to do that with vaughn.
Correct!
How do you get all those sticks
+Lexi Schleede Most of them I bought, lol. Some I'm also given. I like to try new things.
I'm jealous
What knee cradle did you get
I got the regular knee cradle so that I could show everyone how I remove it.
Being a student, I could not dream about being able to afford this set. I have on the other hand joined their competiton to win a full set. Currently crossing fingers and everything that can be crossed!
+Helle Hansen That's awesome, Helle! I hope you win!
Haha, thanks! Maybe that's what I need.
hmm so I recently got these pads, but I was wondering how they compare to the Bauer supreme 1s? How similar/different are they?
Very different. 1s are more squared, lighter, and balanced differently. Also tend they fit much tighter than CCMs.
I liked my XLTs quite a bit. Great pad, very square, very hard, but not as hard as the new Premier line.
have u seen the new koho 579s? I personally don't like the graphic and the pads have a flat face instead of having knee rolls
+Mr. DiMaggio Yup, I have! The graphic looks really, really sharp in the right color scheme. It can also look really, really bad in the wrong color scheme, ha! But every pad is that way. I do like that they're going a bit more modern with the flat face. Gotta keep up with the competition!
Would you say the eflexII or the premier pads would be better for me i currently have bauer one.9's
+andrew tuttle If you like the feel and performance of the One.9s, you'll want the Premiers.
how do they compare to the XLT's?
There's not really a great comparison between these and the XLTs. These are way stiffer and allow more active rebounds. I never did quite get along with my XLTs.
cool
Also for the price point would you recommend these for a younger player. I'm a midget major and I play very often
+Reid Peterson If you're playing midget major and you're playing often, this is well worth the investment. You're going to want top of the line performance and protection so you can continue developing your game.
Can you do a compare and contrast video on the ccms and xlt. And/or eflex and koho for the goalie that prefers a flexible pad
Great suggestion. I'll see what I can do!
do you know where I can purchase calf / knee wraps? Different colours as well
+Christian Jarrett There's a couple independent places out there who can do it, such as PAW (Protective Athletic Wear), which is Sara Marchand. There's another one calle SewzAll, I believe, who otherwise goes by Keeps33. Good luck!
Thanks!
But I do love my Premiers, and I would love the opportunity to use the 1s pads more.
why not try the stock strapping set up?
+MrGoalieboy29 When we make pre-release orders, we're not told what "stock" is, so I make my order based on what I've used and will likely like.
Sorry to ask but do you know where someone can purchase the foam material in a CCM/Reebok blocker? I am trying to refurbish a set of gloves.
Try Sara Marchand, who is with PAW Sports (Protective Athletic Wear).
Oh how I wish the retro flex gloves had these features. They look incredible
+Jordan Mazzitelli Absolutely!
hey I was wondering if the brake in method you used in an other video would work for this gear as well mainly the pads? +goaliecreasenet
Absolutely, but I rarely recommend the splits. Be in good position and you'll never need to go in the splits. :)
I would definitely recommend going down an inch in these, as the boot is longer to keep it raised up on your skate.
how much will you sell your ccm sticks
+Emily Smith I won't, sorry! It costs way too much to ship. :\
What is your height? I'm getting the premier pads and I'm 5'11" (still growing) what size should I get since these run a little big?
+Nick Johansson I'm also 5'11". Honestly, I'd go with something like 33+2, maybe 34+1. Not sure I'd go any higher than that unless you're used to very oversized pads like I am and wear bulky knee guards. Hope that helps!
if you use 35+2 what height are you?
+Easton The wall 5'11". Really, I should be in 34+2" max in these pads.
What store do you go to online or irl to get your gear?
How would you compare the glove and blocker to e flex 2
I bought the eflex 2 leg pads and ordered the glove and blocker so I'm kinda deciding if I should return and change
Yup!
Thanks
+Stefan Yeah, they definitely run big. I'm 6'3, and I had to return my 36+2s for 35+2s because they were so much larger than my 36+2 XLTs.
Sweet man thanks, there custom so no returns here. Eases my mind alot..appreciate it
+Stefan Sure!
Good thing i got 35+1.5s then...and .5 off from a regular +2 isnt that much of a difference right? Jacob Woodford
Not really, but if you like a slightly smaller thigh rise a half inch difference might feel better.
How tall are you Tommy?
+That Guy 5'11"
GoalieCreaseNet Dang, you look taller in your videos. You wear 35 + 2 pads!? Do you ever have issues with missing the knee stack when you butterfly? I'm the same height and when go down I come down on the bottom edge of the knee stack near the calf cradle in 35'' pads I wear 31 + 1 Brian's. Thanks for the info!
Nope! I wear very large knee guards so it always hits clean, fortunately! I know it's a bit odd given my height.. years of wearing oversized pads and bulky knee guards help!
Can you do a comparison between the eflex 2 and the premiers pls
+AJ Preachuk Good idea.. I'll see what I can do!
thanks
Please do this. Nothing like it anywhere on the internet.
Thank You
Either one is great. I really like the Premier line, though. Hope that helps!
I wear a 34+2 in the xlt. I'm ordering the premiers for my upcoming season. Would 34+2 in the premiers be bigger or the same as the xlts ?
Way bigger.. at least an inch bigger in both the knee and thigh rise.
Thank god his shirt says goalie cause I never would've guessed
+Lauren A Too many pucks to the mask, so sometimes mid-video I have to look down and remember what I'm doing. :\ :)
corey crawford has those pads
derp inc.
+Sandy Hartman Yep! Derp!
You're lighting was a bit to bright in this video maybe bring it down because we could are any of the puck marks. But very informational keep it up
I noticed that too actually
+Reid Peterson I agree 100%! I'm going to be switching cameras for future reviews.. I wasn't happy with the technical quality of this one, and the camera has struggled with the white contrast in the past. Problem is when you have a large white or dark object (like long leg pads) that is continually getting closer and further away from the camera, and it struggles to keep up. But in the future I'm going to switch cameras and manually adjust it afterward. Thanks for the suggestions, Reid! I really appreciate it!
What is your most favorite pad you have ever worn?
I'm still in love with my old Koho 560s! There's actually a video of a 16-year-old me on here where I wore them. I miss those pads!
I am currently in CCM Retro Flex 450 Gloves, would there be any change when I upgrade to the Premiers like I intend to?
The biggest change will be that you'll have better protection. That's about it!
I want some xD
+X3Cuber I don't blame you!
My mom said I can get any new thing I want and I picked this pad
Yup, they're great. Just make sure you get the right size!
GoalieCreaseNet I did
I would have preferred to see the padding on the top of the finger instead.
Nonetheless, I'll make sure to put in the suggestion!
i always meant to ask Tomy how much you spend on equipment? if your wife is listening you don't have to answer lol
+michael levesque A few thousand a year, LOL. Or I try to work deals or borrow stuff sometimes. However I can get it, I'll do it!
Wait you're married?
\
+Oliver Nasr Yeah, and with five kids, too!
That is not what I expected.
