    Bauer sells a pair of elastic toe ties that help I have ccm eflex2 860 and they help with ankle pain

      I have these on my 1X and love them. Nice mixture of old school toe ties and stretch.

    Great comparison! I just spent a few days trying on pads and shortlisted CCM EFLEX 3.9's and Warrior Sr GT's. (pro models aren't in my budget). I really like both Warrior models but I couldn't get comfortable with the post wedge on the G3's. The GT's are my choice for that and more flex. I haven't measured the pad widths exactly, but Warriors always appear narrower next to CCM's. Is it just an illusion, can't imagine Warrior giving up legal width?

      The Warriors are ususally not 11 inches fully. At the same time these CCM's might be a bit bigger than 11 inches. On CCM Eflex pads in the pros they have and extra cord on the inside edge that ensures the pads stay 11 inches in width, but that isn't on the retail pads.

    How do you remove the knee pad/guards on these pads?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  8 месяцев назад

      Not sure, these never came with knee guards

      Mine just came in and it looks like you can remove them, it's held on with velcro!

    How did you end up with smaller pads like that?

    I feel like you should just look at butterfly pads for yourself, hybrid pads tend to be softer, its the whole concept of the design. The focus on butterfly pads tend to lean towards making them as stiff and rigid as possible while still having optimal coverage and rotation

      +Bryton Carriere I believe "hybrid" pads can still work fine for me, especially considering my Koho 588's were one of my favourite pads I've ever worn.

    Hey, I also own G2 Pro leg pads. Because I have a narrow butterfly and the G2s are so straight and stiff, I often have a gap in my 5 hole, or make the save with my kneeguards or kneestacks. Do you think the flex and curvature of the thighrise of the EFlex3 could help with that, sealing the 5 hole better?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  7 лет назад

      These G2s aren't like normal G2s, I don't have the flex lock system on these. Can you not use that to pull the thigh rise down and make it more S shaped?
      The Eflexs would work better than my G2s if you need 5-hole coverage help because of a more narrow butterfly, but most pads on the market should be able to bend nicely for you after breaking them in.

      Yes, I do use the Profile Lock to bend them into shape. But they do twist weirdly when you do that, so I am not 100% happy with the shape.
      I had a look at the CCMs yesterday, and I do like the shape better. They are not cheap though, so I guess will use the G2s until they brake down and then switch. But I like the Warrior's strapping system way better than the traditional strap/buckle thing CCM does.

    for hating the knee stack so much you could have easily removed the outer wrap since its laced

      +michael levesque if it wasn't a demo set and I was using them more than a few times I would've done that.
      That was an oversight I missed in the review, thank too for pointing it out.

    How tall are you. I'm looking into ccm eflex 3's would 35+1 fit me cause I'm almost 6'2

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  6 лет назад

      6'3 ish, but it is all about the ATK measurement. What size are you wearing now?

      Hockey Reviews I'm wearing size 36+1s in bauer. Those are too tall

    how tall you are? im 5'11" using 34"1.5 pads

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  7 лет назад

      6'3, but height doesn't matter. Ankle to knee measurement is what is important. I realize these pads are too small for me, but with demo pads I don't really have much choice and I take what I can get. The smaller size didn't affect my overall review of the pads, and I still gave them quite a positive review.

    Speed Skin material is sooooo garbage (own my pads for 3 week used them 6 times already wear around the knee (looks the the materiel is worn off)
    just noticed today after about 8 time at the top looks like an puck i saved (the material is peeling)
    whihc this comment i could attach pics sooooo disappointed spent $2000+ for top of the line pads (this material reminds me of the fake leather that after a few year peels off)

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  6 лет назад

      +Brian Dominico I mean, CCM knee block material has been known to wear down prematurely compared to other brands. I don't think Speed Skin is that issue, I believe it is either a thinner material that CCM uses in all its jenpro or how CCM makes the knee wings.

      Brian Dominico hey, thanks for the info...see any advantages with the speed skin for sliding? Or it's all bs?
