Ccm is fixing that problem with the axis leaning forward when your in RVH, they going the bauer route with a built in knee block. they also are doing a seamless inner side of the pad.
My Koho pads are 36 plus 2 and my Reebok XLT pads are 36 plus 2 but the Kohos are 3 inches taller and they are both made from Levebre but possible both were China made obviously. Both baught from Goaliemonkey.
Does E5 have a wider/looser leg channel then the v9? I love the v9 everything about it BUT the leg channel is to tight and makes it kinda uncomfortable. I got a pair of slr2 carbons and the leg channel is much more comfortable and i skate much better in them, but my 5 hole sucks in no break stiff pads lol maybe I just need to adjust my stance to a no break or order a v9 with a slr2 leg channel? I would be hesitant to go ccm with speedskin vs quick slide. ps. when looking at the pads listed on online website, the Axis is listed as +2, while the E5 are listed as +1 (could make sense why the rise is different in your video, axis is inch taller retail sizing)
I think the Eflex is looser than the V9, but have you taken out the professor strap in the V9 and done the calf strap as loose as possible? I found that to make a huge difference in leg channel fit. In regards to these pad sizing, so can see in the side view that these Eflex 5 were 34+2 and not +1. They are supposed to be the same size as the Axis but CCM/Lefevre screwed up the sizing on them because of the new boot design. Lefevre told me that specifically on a call they made a mistake on the 20.1, and I am taking the educated guess that CCM took a lot from their designs/prototypes and didn't make the adjustment themselves.
@@HockeyReviews I can see alot of pissed off people getting custom pads and being wrong sized lol I went down a size in the v9 from my v8's too or the v9 would have been to big

I have the flex5 pads. 3rd pair of pro pads. easily the best pad I've had. really like them

question does the eflex line play like the old reactors of yesteryear (the modern ones 2015 ish reactors 9000 and such
\)
It would be closer to the old Reactors yes. I'd still tell people to go with Velocity if they want a Reactor style of pad though.
@@HockeyReviews thanks Matt

I love my axis pads. I figure your buddy already sold his set but let me know if they didnt
Yeah, long gone sorry
I am having a hard time closing the 5 holes... wich pads has the bigest curve to help me with my butterfly ???
Axis probably have the biggest stock curve off the shelf. But you have to figured out if your need a curve or a bend below the knee.
@@HockeyReviews curve or bend below my knee??? Whats that meen ? I never thought of that ... i am 5.7 and play dek hockey...
If you are playing Dek, take a look at ReasonY pads and reach out to them. They should be able to point you towards something that will work for you.
I have a eflex 35" that fit big, would the axis fit better in a 35"?
No... they would fit even bigger
@HockeyReviews ok cool thank you
To be sure :
- I have Reebok Larceny Leg Pads 35"+2
- Thus to have same size, I should take CCM Axis Leg Pads 34"+2
Am I right ?
No, Larceny pads fit different than the more modern CCM stuff. I wouldn't compare the 2.
Thanks for this!
