    Jordan played all 82 games as a 40 year old with completely shot knees. He did the same in 1998 at 35 when he won MVP All Star MVP, Finals MVP, scoring title and a ring 🐐

      What’s interesting and stands out is MJ had shot knees. I don’t know about you but I don’t won’t shot knees. I am glad that these new players are beginning to think bigger and consider their overall health and mental well being as well as their finances rather than being a high paid race horse for the entertainment of White America. Laura Ingram told LeBron James to just shut up and dribble. I’m glad these young players are not sacrificing themselves for a people who do not care about them anyway!

      @@lessconfused5179 I beg to differ.. they are not playing wholeheartedly and down to the last grill because they are afraid to lose their contract with the abundance of players every single season. So to protect their money, they don't care if they will not give it 100% to the game..unlike before..Now, this is facts when I used to play compared to the players I am coaching now in terms of mentality and their view about their profession. To put it into logical perspective, it's a worker who goes above and beyond vs a worker who is a mediocre and waiting to clock out to go home and party.

    • @lessconfused5179
      @lessconfused5179 9 месяцев назад

      @@gambareiele7832 Thanks for sharing your opinion. If they are as you say scared of losing their contract, never mind how you confirmed or came to know this, and there are a lot of hungry players that are just waiting to take their position, then that doesn’t fit your narrative. They would be sacrificing themselves at all cost to try and keep their positions. Not taking it easy which I don’t think they are doing. Today’s athlete is somewhat smarter and has had the benefit of being exposed to more information and knowledge than previous generations athletes. Just like we can research things a lot quicker from our smartphones that having to go to a library.
      In your job scenario. There are many variables that you are leaving out or not considering.
      Have you considered that the worker that is mediocre or just not silly enough to give a job 100% when companies have no loyalty, will fire you at the drop of a dime for no reason. Will underpay and overwork you causing burnout, could have actually at one point in time been the worker that went over and beyond and has learned the hard way that over working or working hard does not always lead to a promotion.
      The company will exploit the above and beyond worker just as quickly the mediocre worker and a lot of times it’s the mediocre workers that will be the ones that the company prefers to promote over the workers that go over and beyond.
      Or the now mediocre worker could just be fed up from giving their all and not being properly compensated or rewarded for it.
      It’s like a Slave Master calling a slave lazy. It’s in the slave’s best interest to be lazy. The slave is not getting anything from or out of their hard work. Have you considered this?

Larry playing through injuries not wanting to disappoint his team or the people who ultimately are the reason athletes get paid. The fans pay athletes bills. Salary Endorsements wherever or whatever the financial source fans who like the game or products have to give up their money to support you. One reason I don’t watch most sports until the playoffs deep in the playoffs. Just not the same. I wasn’t a professional athlete but I was a professional soldier I know about running, climbing, jumping, repelling, and other physical strenuous activities I couldn’t take a day off I didn’t get summers to recuperate or change the pace. I get it you want it for the overall health of the game but now these players are really Smarter on protecting their body so they can play longer.

    It’s the teams decision to sit out player and I wish fans would understand that.

    To be fair, I wonder if the media frenzy is more exhausting today than the 80s and 90s. Although, I bet what Michael Jordan dealt with was comparable to what stars deal with today and still gave it his all in every game and practice! Practice?

    It was just different back then with salaries. The risk of investment was lower. I don’t think it’s the players and their mentalities. I think it’s about owners protecting investments, especially in basketball where you’re team is totally different when you subtract a star.

    This is why the 80s and 90s were golden years of basketball. This mentally makes fans want to watch. Todays players complain.

    Magic is probably the best embassdor of the game. With all his rights and wrongs, his dramas and strugles, the guy knows what his talking about. And offcourse his a 5 time champ with honours. A magic player and by far one of the most important NBA representives. Never disses anyone and always has something to back his claims

    I wanted to see Joel Embiid play in Atlanta, seeing as he’s the reigning MVP and the MVP front runner again this year. He sat out and the 76ers lost.

    To be fair, is usually the team doctors the ones that say "this guy should not play for the next week if you want him to be 100% for the playoffs"
