When it comes to Filipino foods, most of it were viands and always partnered with rice. Get used to eat rice. Much appreciated for making some videos about these foods.

Tapsilog is a pretty much a staple food for breakfast/brunch in the Philippines, it's TAP for tapa (dried beef meat), SI for sinangag (frief rice) ang LOG for itlog (egg). From this you can have different variations, like the BANGSILOG you had (bang for bangus or milkfish).
I'm glad that you gave halo-halo another chance!
Kamayan means to use hands, to eat with bare hands.
    Baon means lunch box.
Atchara is pickled green papaya. You usually eat it with fried food so it can cut the fattiness.
I prefer to dip fried food into vinegar (again to cut the fattiness), but Mang Tomas is also great.

so glad you did a part 2 of Filipino food cause i loved your first video! i'm not sure if you were told about BangSiLog but it stands for bangus (milkfish) - sinangag (fried rice) - itlog (egg) and it's usually for breakfast. the bangus may be replaced with other meat like tocino (caramelized pork) and it will be called ToSiLog or maybe longganisa (Filipino breakfast sausages) and it will be called LongSiLog 😉 anyway, i'm really glad you're liking Filipino food! thank you and keep safe!

The fish you ate is the bangus (milk fish). You did an awesome job mixing the palabok. It has an acquired taste and it's not to the liking to many foreigners. Glad you found a place serving "true" Filipino lechon.

Because Pancit Palabok is made with shrimp broth, and a lot of foreigners, especially Westerners aren't into shrimpy flavors.

the one you tried with "onion" and egg is what we call locally atsara (taken from the spanish word achara), it's a side dish from semi-ripe papaya.

Salute to the guy who told you to mix the palabok first then squeeze lemon to it. I have seen a lot of foreigners who tasted the palabok and did not like it because they did not mix it and squeeze lemon to it.

Good job guys! I don't know if it was explained to you about the "veggies" on your plate? Well, let me tell you now; It is basically the equivalent to cole slaw , in a way it is a palette cleanser, so you can taste the other dishes that you might have. It is called ATCHARA, It is not onions that you thought, it is scredded unbripe papaya, cucumber, carrots, vinegar, sugar fermented in a jar. The rice that you ate at first is Garlic rice, a staple of leftover rice fried with lots of garlic to give that extra flavor.
