Letting NYC Strangers Try Filipino Halo-Halo, THIS was their reaction
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2019
- We gave random strangers in NYC the amazing Filipino dessert halo-halo to try! They had never had it before and they really loved it! Super cool to see Americans trying halo-halo for the first time, and to spread a bit of Pinoy culture in NYC!
We got it from a small Filipino cafe in NYC called Kabisera that makes the dessert from scratch, including by using their own Filipino ice cream, so it was super authentic and delicious. Made with red bean, jackfruit, ube, Filipino ice cream, shaved ice, condensed milk, coconut, and leche flan. They did not sponsor this video, but they are super nice, and if you want can check them out at: www.yelp.com/biz/kabisera-new...

It’s so cool that you’re expanding people’s experiences/curiosity with foods from different cultures! People usually keep their experiences to themselves, but you are actually sharing and spreading it with people you don’t know! I also love that people are drawing connections to the desserts they are familiar with. It is such a gift to be able to just walk up to anyone from any part of the world and build that instant rapport.
I appreciate that they put the ingredients above because rarely anyone try to mix it. At least they aren't exactly just eating ice dripped in evap milk.
I can't be the only one who's waiting to see if any of them would actually mix everything first before digging in? 🤔
Arc zimmerman Realisan; Yeah I was waiting too if he should have said mix it first.
yeah, me too...after all the name of that dessert 'halo-halo' in english it is 'mix-mix' so you have to mix all the flavors first from top to bottom to be able to taste all of them in every spoonful of bite... that's how you eat halo-halo...
benta lang kasi sila ng benta di nila pinapaliwanag kung paano kainin. parang wala sa ibang bansa, akala nila sa costumers nila lahat pinoy kaya walang pali-paliwanag.
Exactly!
Arc Zimmerman Realisan lmao, I know. I was thinking the same thing.. you dont get to taste all the flavours in it until you mix everything. Thats why its called “halo halo” which means mix mix. So MIX IT God Damn It!!!
