Hi guys, Marami Salamat (means...”thank you so much”) for loving the filipino food. 😋 If your wife doesn’t like too sour on the Sinigang soup, you may add water on it so it will balance the sourness. There’s no vinegar in it. The main ingredient we used is “tamarind sachet” powder that you can buy in a filipino store. And the binagoongan pork (colored pink meat) that one has coconut milk and shrimp paste. Quan, I cant count on how many times you “it’s good” and you rolled your eyes.😍🇺🇸

Sinigang na Bayabas is less sour and sweeter, for people who don't like super sour soup. Guava Sinigang na Boneless Bangus Belly is my fave with Gabi, Banana Bossoms, Kangkong, Labanos, Sitaw, Kamatis, Sili, Luya, Talong.
I'm glad ur introducing ur wife to different cuisines, she is a trooper to be open minded n give it a try...be props to her and y'all are so enjoyable to watch each time. 👍❤️

@ 9:19 The "ants" might have been bagoong alamang. Bagoong is a fermented condiment made from fish or shrimp. Bagoong alamang is made of tiny shrimp/krill and you would see the tiny black eyes in it. My grandma and mom served baboong alamang alongside with kare kare. The bagoong isn't added into the base of the kare kare sauce while cooking, but you would scoop rice, the kare kare, and then tiny bit of bagoong for a perfect spoonful. It's like what wasabi is to sushi. Always love your food adventures! 👋from South Carolina, USA.

I’m in Northern VA and there’s not much Filipino restaurants here…there are some but not that good. We don’t even have Jolibee! Have to drive to VA beach which is 4-5 hrs from where I live 😟

sinigang is traditionally cooked with Patis and tamarind, onion, tomato,garlic and chili , any greens with pork , or fish or beef.. most cook it with the seasoning sinigang packets..

Bro I must say that is authentic Filipino feasting 💯 likewise, my love for Vietnamese cuisine! We have Tra Vinh Vietnamese restaurant in Manila and I have been eating there once a week as a regular routine 🇻🇳

I closely looked at the pancit.. And i find the store mixed two types of noodles. The thinner bihon noodle and the thicker canton noodle. Your pancit is called "mixed pancit bihon and canton gisado noodles".
