The washer reservoir has a tab you can press down so the whole thing releases and comes out. That way you can actually reach your hand to the dust cover and bulb. On the passenger side, a piece of the air filter comes off to give access to the light. Just FYI.

My question is which led bulb headlights fit on this car I have the same one but its 2016 and I try to search in Amazon it's showing only low beam bulb and high beam bulb sapret but my car take one bulb high beam and low beam in one bulb so can you help with this situation please and thank you
@@samirgeorgess HB3 9005 , single bulb ....low and high beam created by lens/housing mechanical movement.
@@samirgeorgess the cruze models with projector headlights take 9012 one pair for both high and low beams. for reflector type headlights, 2 pairs, h11 for low and 9005 for high beams.
@@jeansandmyshirt I happen to have the projector housing, they take 9005 for both high and low beams. There is a solenoid that angles the bulb up and down for hi/low beam angles. 2016 (2nd Gen) LT
Thank you for this. I have a 2018 and it's the same. I was trying to figure out how to remove the headlight bucket and thought I'd check first...good thing I found this video. Thanks again.
Glad it helped
Good, informative video showing how to replace the bulb and what a nightmare they are to get to on a 2nd Gen Cruze. Chevy recommends removing the washer fluid fill tube from the washer fluid tank, but it's nice to know that's not absolutely necessary.

My 2018 Cruze burnt a headlight out already and replacing it was nothing short of a nightmare. The spaces are _so_ tight and those darn clips are practically cemented on. Not to mention the cap that keeps the moisture out was a pain in the butt to turn. My other cars have been more time consuming to change but so much easier. Not to mention there were multiple bulbs listed for the same car. Dual beams, different size sockets...yikes! Anyway, thanks for the video, brother.

I’m having the same problem, I can’t even get off the light bulb cover. It looks easier just to remove the bumper which is what I’m going to do lol
Which way do you turn the cover left or right?
Yo man thanks a lot i was really lost for the chevy 2016 but now i can finally change it thanks a lot man

Good luck trying to find the correct bulb size for the 2017 Cruze...lol I have the LT RS model sedan and I tried 4 local chevy dealerships and nobody knows not even using the VIN. My headlights do not look like the ones in this video, mine have LED running lamps. I was orginally told it takes H11 fogs and 9012 headlights but when I went to have them installed they said I was wrong and it takes a 9005. Well the 9005 is a high power high beam bulb so I guess Chevy configured the low beams to work with a high beam bulb which is unusual. I dont know gonna just trade it in because i cant deal with this anymore
Thanks for heads up.

I just ran into the same problem. A co worker sent his wife over with her 2016 rs because she had no headlights. I find both were burned out. The Sylvania part look up said 9012. After 2 trips to Walmart it needed 9005
Just ran into this problem. Autozone was dumbfounded... my car has the rs badge and came from Canada(don't know if that matters) they don't even have the rs listed on there computers *shrugs*
I lost the blue plastic clip on the harness. What’s it for and where can I buy another one?
Should be able to get from chevy parts or online.
Thank 🏆
I bought 9005 LED Cree replacement bulbs and they will not fit, these bulbs have dual ventilation fans that are too bulky to close the dust cover. Not sure what to do as I left the housing open
Zachary Johnson hi thanks for watching sorry to hear, you should check with a Chevy dealer to see if they have s deeper dust cover. Thanks please share and subscribe if haven't already and check out my other helpful videos.
Get the Copper Ribbon type LED instead of a fan type LED as the base... Will be easy to feed the copper wires inside the dust cover
@@lifeasnikhil Yes, it will definitely fit, but the bulb will burn with heat. The cooper ribbon have to come out of the dust cover to have a better heat dissipation and I'm not talking about the driver wich get hot as hell... imagine if you leave inside the headlight... My point is, no matter what, you will have to dig a hole in that dust cover.
Thanks boss

Hi. I have a chevrolet cruze LT 2017 model. I was reading the manual. It says there are 2 lights. One is H11 for high beam and one is for low beam which is 9005. But everytime i check my headlights, i can only see one. Is it is the 9005? And how does it change from low beam to high beam?
In my manual it gives the same replacement bulb info but also says "for different bulbs contact your dealer" My 2016 Cruze LT (newer model) I called my Chevy Dealer and they confirmed there is just one bulb. The 9005 that is Hi/Lo in one. I am replacing the OEM Sylvania Bulb because it does not give adequate light at night. I am upgrading to a brighter version that is Factory authorized Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9005.It is also twice the price.About 50 bucks for a pair. But worth it for better night driving visablity.
If you have projector type headlights, The bulb will most likely be 9012 ( which has both High and Low beam)
@@lifeasnikhil yes this is correct, the L and LS trim has a H11 low and 9005 High beam in a reflector housing, all other trims with the projector housing have a 9012.
Even though the owners manual and all parts stores list this as a 9012, just checked mine before I buy and upgrade and it's a 9005 installed... just a heads up for those looking. Mines a 2018 LT.
My son has the same year and make model. I went crazy ordered H 11 and that is not what this car takes. I use the 9005 and to turn on the highbeams just click your high beam on the steering wheel. Wasn’t sure because it did not look like a do filament but it does control high and low beam.
Passanger side too hard to show? Probably not the same process, no?

I hate to say this but his is headlight bulb replacement, not change "Headlight".
Who ever designed this needs to be fired out of a canon into the sun.

Oh no, this isn't bad at all compared to some GM models, where you have to take the bumper cover off of them to gain access to the bulbs.
@@jimmellenberger8505 yep, think it's like that exactly to do with HHR model! Very difficult!
You mean headlight bulb replacement!!
Facts.
Thank you
