Dorthy lived about 6 houses away from me in Cleveland Hts, and she always said hello to me while I was on my way to high school in the morning, and invited me onto her front porch to chat in the afternoon, when she was home. Those mornings when she said hello to me, her flaming hair was like a sunrise to me. She was a wonderful, intelligent, and fascinating person, and taught me a great deal about history and life in general. Thank you for your friendship, and for being one of my mentors in life.....RIP Dorthy Fuldheim...❤️❤️

Nice to hear the voices of former WEWS staff announcer Bill Ward and Ralph Gunderman in the beginning and Fred Griffith of "Morning Exchange" fame again!

"One knows, ...Life is like a great Cathedral , ..the beginning of a service they light a few candles, and then they they light more , more until the whole cathedral is lit up , and then the service is over, ..and the candles begin going out, ...and you know no matter how scenarios the music is in that cathedral, and how great a light the candles give off , that sooner or later they will be gone, ...and all you can say is for an hour, there was a splendour of light and of music. " ~ Dorothy Fuldheim.

I know she died in 1989, but I wish I could have Dorothy philheim's opinion on the presidents that were after her clinton, bush, obama, Trump and Biden. I also wood wood love her opinion of people like Xi Putin etc

I remember her broadcasts. No time for foolishness - her work ethic is seldom seen these days. I miss her chasing the truth, and cutting through frivolous matters. She knew the difference between news and entertainment. Isn't that line blurred now?

And I believe she was still on the staff in the early 1980s before retiring. She is to WEWS what Goddard is to WJW.

The beginning montage is part of the promo they would run about her it just had a different version of the Catch 5 music. I wonder if anyone has a copy of the old Dorothy Fuldheim promo that the opening of this special is based off of?
