I got a 7i pro with a 4080 and 16 gb for $2k at Walmart online. B&h has one with 32gb at same price today. I’ll see if Walmart will help me out somehow. We’ll see.
There is a Lenovo Legion slim 5 4070 for sale at Microcenter for $899. It's the CPU without integrated graphics but if it's for gaming then you are not on battery anyway.
The core ultra 5 125U is not the latest gen, that is a wholly incorrect statement. Core ultra series 2 laptops are already out, even in thinkpads, so that is a last gen chip.
After spending a dozen hours (too much) time looking, by FAR the best deal for my budget of 700-1000$ range was either the ASUS TUF, and the Lenovo Thinkpad pro 5. Ended up ordering the Lenovo, at 930$ with AMD 8845HS, 4050, 16GB, 16" OLED 120HZ monitor. 29% off normal price in the Canadian official online store, was a tad more expensive than the TUF, but much better everything else besides the price. Almost went to the Lenovo XIAOXIN model from aliexpress, but decided to not risk the troubles of importing via aliexpress and dealing with Chinese customer support if something went wrong.
also got the lenovo thinkpad pro 5, though i customised it and im getting mine with 32GB, 1TB ssd but no dedicated gpu since i'm not playing intensive games anyways funnily enough i was also looking at the same XIAOXIN model (saw some random guy mention it on reddit) but decided not to after the horrid support i got last time
Lenovo Yogo pro 9I with RTX4050 vs Legion 7i RTX 4070. Using the laptop mainly for video editing, so gonna be using a lot of adobe premiere and photoshop and such. Which one is the best bang for the buck? I’m also really really new to laptops and video editing. Thank you in advance!
Which parts of the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) are made of plastic, and how does this impact the device's durability and overall feel?

I bought a Yoga 9i 14" from Lenovo's website, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2.8K OLED screen, $1154.79 before tax. After savings it was about 26% off.
Also Rakuten has 10% off on Lenovo's website right now, that got me over $100 in cash back.
I bought the Legion Slim 5 14” from lenovo also. 32GB RAM, 1TB, 2.8K OLED 120hz screen and RTX 4060 for £1150 inc student discount and black friday.

Opinion on legion pro 5 32gb ram 4070
The new hx 370 tuf a14 is amazing, but 1399 is still overpriced.
