Those metallic ones are giving serious Gelly Roll gel pen vibes and I’m here for it
They are lovely! Thanks for watching Kelsey! x
Ooooh fab artwork. I love using acrylic markers. I have posca and Karin decobrush markers. I love using them both. What I love most about the Karin markers is that you shake and go you don’t have to prime anything and the posca so just love making large expressive marks with them or if I can’t be bothered to get acrylic paint out and it’s a fairly small project then I’ll use the markers. I’ve never used them both together so that could be something to try out and see how they interact with each other 🤔
Thank you so much for watching and your sharing Evie xx
I love a good brush paint marker. I really enjoy paint markers for as you say, more graphic type artwork or for customizing.
I totally agree! Thank you so much for watching! :D :D I feel like I should channel my inner aussie crafter when using them :P xx
I haven't always been a marker person but recently I have found that they are really easy to use, especially for mixed media and laying down larger areas of color to build up on. Thank you for this video, Ill defiantly have to look into these markers.
Thank you for watching & sharing Lucy! I agree, they are great for lots of coverage and working on top of x
I have a few posca markers that I like to use on acrylic paintings, but I've never painted anything fully with acrylic markers, unless you count decorating rocks :)
The metallic markers are nice, but I definitely prefer the "regular" 24 set. I really like the colours included, and it's great that there's also a gold and a silver
Thank you for watching Mia! Rocks definitely count :D xx
I do like using acrylic markers, but tend to stick to one medium when creating. The brush tip on these though is very appealing.
Good to know! I tend to go through phases lol currently in the mixed media phase :P Thank you for sharing x
I love the colors, so juicy! I especially love paint markers/pens that don’t have to be shaken and then pressed down to get the ink flowing! These seems easier to use! I also like that you can see how much ink is left inside.
I agree, some really good features and beautiful colours x
I like using acrylic markers in sketch book with others mediums
Ditto! Thank you for sharing xx
I have those. You’re right about it hurting your wrists, I have hand/arm issues and have they made me nervous 😬
The prep work is honestly one of the things that I dislike about acrylic markers as a whole. I found that after the initial preparing, I created quite a bit and only the yellow needed to be done again but take care of your hands ❤️
Thank you for mentioning how much pressure is required for pushing the top to get the ink flowing. Too much required for me.
I was curious about the pens but yes in general I’m not really an acrylic markers person unless I fill my own.
Informative and helpful 👍🌸
Glad it was helpful!Thank you so much for watching and your kind words xx
Thank you for your honesty. I've seen some reviews that are clearly commission based.
Thank you for watching and your kind words ❤️ the markers were gifted
But I always want to be honest and fair when reviewing ❤️❤️❤️
@@SketchesnScrubs thank you.. you are one of few who can be trusted!
These markers look absolutely stunning!!! Love the brush nib!! Thanks for sharing them
My pleasure 😊 Thank you for watching Rebecca x
I think they need to come out with a twist method. I usually use acrylic markers for final top details. Like line work highlights etc.
Thank you for watching Keshna x
These markers look beautiful. I love your review videos. I love the metallic one because I love blink in my work. I can really get to know a product because I buy it. Thanks a lot. I bought acrylic markers but haven't use them yet. The pumping really prevent me to use them. I saw many videos of people using acrylic markers to make beautiful piece. That's why I want to try too. Maybe I should try them on a coloring page to start.
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words xx
Thanks for sharing this!!! These are awesome! I haven’t used acrylic markers yet, but I did just order some and now after watching your video, I might need to get both of these sets as I love the matte finish and how beautifully they lay on paper. I think I will use them most for adding detail over my watercolor pieces! I absolutely LOVE the piece you did in the video though! Thanks again as this was super helpful!!! ❤
FYI- I just purchased around 65 of the Ferris Wheel Ink Press inks that I plan to use in my watercolor work. I hope to create my first RUclips video by the end of February showing swatches and painting with them. I wanted to do this as there is not much out there on these being used for painting and I think they are beautiful! I will try to remember to come back to this video and let you know when it is uploaded😉☺️
Thank you for watching Melanie! And good luck on your RUclips channel ❤️
I really love the color selection and that they brush nibs :)
Ditto!
I don't use acrylic markers very often the ones I have are poscas and I really don't like the nibs on those but I really love the brush tip on these brushes they seem like they would be a dream to use.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing Sydney x
I havent used acrilic markers except by posca the finest one...not an expert yet. But love to tried this ones. Love your videos ❤
Thank you so much MichisCraft! Xx
Love the look of these pens.
They are lovely. Hope you’re well Gillian! Xx
Wow, the colors are beautiful. I have no experience with acrylic markers bit find them interesting. Thanks so much for doing such a nice review of these. Going to add them to my wishlist!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching and your kind words xx
I want them to release a earth tone/landscape set SO BADLY!!! They look so lovely but I don't know how I'd use these colors.
Fingers crossed they expand the colours! Thank you for watching Tharzanne and for being a subscriber x
Nice thorough review! I’ve really liked the other acrylic markers Arrtx has released
Same here! Thank you so much for watching x
Perfect timing! I just told someone not 5 minutes ago that I really want some more budget friendly paint markers. I do have a handful of Posca's which I use to play with in my sketchbook. I haven't tried a finished piece yet because I just don't have enough colors. Thank for the review!
What excellent timing! I hope you enjoy the video, good luck on the giveaway x
Yes I use acrylic markers for typography on my "Scripture Collection".
What is your scripture collection? Xx
@@SketchesnScrubs I'll send you a DM cuz I can't explain with words...
I love that these are matte. They might work well with acrylic gouache. Thanks for the awesome review ❤
I think so too! Xx
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words Tracey xx
thanks for the review! Pretty palette of colors!
Thank you for watching Derwood x x
Oh! I was just watching miracles byler’s video on the simptaps and wondering when your video would be out!
Great timing lol! :D xx
@@SketchesnScrubsYeah… Pressing the top button would open the valve temporarily… So if the pen is upside down the ink isn’t getting to the tip 😅 The colors looks so pretty, yes I love that same teal/turquoise… And I love that it’s a brush nib. Yeah I’m sold ><
With the brush markers you can’t have the typical press the nib in mechanism since that would definitely damage the nib… I very much prefer brush pens so I’m excited for these! I don’t like the splattering that occured when I used the poscas on some rougher surface like the tote bag I was doing some touch up work on. I think the soft brush tip would eliminate the splattering issues? Also wow, I love the pop art style paint tubes! That’s a style I like but haven’t really tried to do!
These would be great for colouring Pokemon!
I need to try channeling my inner numberblock17 when using them :P thank you for the pokemon references x
They're sooo pretty. Love the brush tip
Thanks for watching Irene x
i like the muted colors in the metallic set. I liked your sketch with the bridge. I agree that it could be hard to do an entire piece with only the markers, especially as it seemed they were hard to blend. Could you blend with a damp brush before they dried to soften the edges? I have only used Posca so I don’t have experience with shaking, just with pumping. The pushing the button seems tiring, but maybe having a brush rather than the bullet nibble like posca, should give a more painterly look.
Thank you so much for watching Sandra! If you were suuuuper quick , yes, but not an extravagant amount xx
I just started getting into acrylic markers and so far have been using Posco, Lightwish, and Karin Deco markers. Soooo curious to try these!!!
Thanks for watching and sharing xx
Such a fantastic review, I'm only just getting into brush markers myself ☺☺☺
Thanks so much! 😊xx
These are so lovely and dense!
My thoughts exactly! Xx
Nice video. I use posca pens in mixed media collage for mark making and in bullet journals. Like the metallic ones
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words xx
Ive been wanting to try these markers for A while! Thanks for the video!!
You are more than welcome! xx
Love the vibrancy of the colours. Love that they are brush ones compared to bullet and chisel
Thank you for watching HeyTweedle! I also prefer brushtips x
Hi Sketches - I’m not really a marker user. Occasionally, I will use a white acrylic marker for highlights in a watercolor painting but that’s really about it. I have used some Posca markers and I didn’t mind pressing down the tip but these markers where you have to use your thumb seem like a bad choice. Thank you for the video. I always love your creativity.
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words Terri ❤️❤️❤️ xx
I never used acrylic markers. I guess I would use it for painting flat planes of colour
Thanks for watching Pablo x
Interesting markers. Lovely colors
They are! Xx
Seriously love those markers thanks for reviewing
Thank you Dawn x
I wouldn't really say I use acrylic markers as such. I have a white Edding acrylic marker I use for highlights with other media sometimes, but that's it. These look fun, though, and your artwork turned out lovely!
Thnks for watching, sharing and joining the Premiere Sonya! xx
Oh they look so pretty!!
They are really pretty colours! x
Posca markers are what I have used in abstract mixed media pieces
Thanks for sharing Bobbi! Xx
I think these look great! Definitely tedious to get them prepped, but I love the colors and the finish.
Glad you like them! ❤️ thank you for watching x
Hi there. Love your pop art. I’ve used Posca pens a little but they chew up the paper a lot. I think I’ll stick to gouache. 😊
Thank you so much Marie Louise! The Arrtx don't eat up the paper like the poscas, though gouache still holds my heart as a favourite :p xx
The colors of these markers are amazing!! I love the brush tips!! Markers have always been my go-to medium❣️ I am still learning how to incorporate them into mixed media (thank you for the picture towards the end, that helped❣️), but when I want to be creative but not 'feeling' the paints, I will pull out my markers and draw, usually neurographic or folk style. These are lovely and I would love for them to be a part of my collection ❣️❣️❣️ Thank you for showing these to us❣️❣️❣️ ❤️❤️❤️
Oh! I didn’t know ! Thank you for sharing Mrs Z ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the review. I would love to try these markers. 😊 I haven’t used them in my art because I don’t own any markers, just acrylic pens. I used those as accents really. Lately I’ve been channeling my inner Katie Moody (or trying to anyway) by laying down markers first then doing other media on top. I’ve been using watercolor markers for that. I don’t mind the pumping action of acrylic pens.
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching CharMac :D
I'd love to see your recent mixed media pieces! I love mixing medias in landscapes x
The colors look so nice together, both in the sets and in your demo mixed media painting.
It reminds me of Claude Monet's waterlilies with your use of vibrant colors and the way you layered them.
It's just so.... mesmerizing peaceful feeling to me.
And as something I'm curious about, is it possible to place the caps on the end of the either set markers?
Wow! Thank you YukirioAme - that is so kind of you :)
The caps do go on the end of the pens - great question x
@SketchesnScrubs Ohhhh that is such a nice feature! Especially if anyone has issues with them rolling off their drawing/painting areas like me haha 😅.
I love the colours❤ I'm pencil artist. I didn't use Paints and markers yet.. This video tempt me to buy a markers🥰 Love from🇱🇰
Thanks so much for watching! Good luck on your arty adventures! 😊
The color palette of the Arrtx Simptap set are lovely! I wonder if they could be mixed on palette paper. I haven't used it before so I wonder how those markers would lay on it.
They can Jael, though not as much paint comes out as with the pumping markers like posca x
@@SketchesnScrubs Good to know and thank you for testing and sharing that!
@@CeruleanCzarina you’re more than welcome x
Love these!
Thank you for watching Nathalie x
hmm i prob would have probs with the primer if its hard to press😑 i do like the colours tho. i havent used my paint markers for awhile now, prob should get them out and see if they are not dry😝
Thank you so much for watching FuzzyDragons! 🤣😜
I've only used regular tip posca in paint pens , but i really like the look of these acrylic marker with a brush and how they lay down. only down side of these seems to be only in a set and not sold individually? would love to try them out
Thank you for watching ! Yes, I agree they are lovely and hopefully they will have openstock in the future x
My 5 year old is watching with me. He comments, "103 is happy yellow colour. I want to try these!"
Are they felt brush (like a Pitt marker) or bristle brush (like a Pentel water brush)?
They definitely look better in the Talens.
Awww! I agree! It is a happy yellow colour :D
They are felt like a pitt pen lol thank you for the examples - I would have been stuck otherwise x
The acrylic markers look absolutely gorgeous, they must of added the difficult tap on purpose otherwise the markers would be to good to be true 😁😁
Congratulations in advance to the winner. Please exclude me from the giveaway as I'm not creating any artwork, pretty hair lady 😊😊
Thank you for watching John! Do you not create art in general or just for the time being? Xx
@@SketchesnScrubs will create when I have more time, for now I'm working out a bit and resting 😊😊
I'm so sorry that I'm so late to your video and having some kind of play catch up due to normal life events. I do use acrylic markers although I own a couple of cheap brands and then I have a nice selection of Poscas. I like them for detail in certain artwork and in my coloring books that I use just to keep skills sharp when I'm stuck in bed a lot. I would love to have very matte ones something using pencil for detail over them would be easier.
Welcome back! That’s okay, I know like gets busy. I hope that you are okay x
The matte colours are lovely and appear easy to use after getting primed. Have you tried using Winsor & Newton designer gouache over top of the markers & how did it work? I am wondering if it would work since you had problems placing watercolour paint on top it. I suspect acrylic gouache would work but maybe not designer gouache. Do these markers bleed through your page? I haven’t used acrylic markers in my art, only have a couple of Faber Castell Albrect Dürer watercolour markers I use in urban sketching
Thank you so much for watching Anita! Thick gouache is fine but watered down is resisted similarly to the watercolour. They are acrylic markers, they didn’t bleed through to the other side on either sketchbook. I think acrylic gouache or acrylics would work better too ! Although they are matte soo more receptive to other media than acrylics / other markers x
How did I not know you did calligraphy, and so well too!!! These markers look amazing 🤩… also, are the simtap available in Canada? I cannot seem to find them 🧐
😁😁😁😁 you are too kind Jma! ❤️
Do they last a long time, like Poscas? Some brands last such a short time.
I don’t know. I’ve had them for two months
Nice!
Thank you! xx
Hey chica, I gotta question about this art supply. Do they have refills or open stock to replace? (Im asking this as I am watching this.)😅😅
Hey! They don’t have open stock or refills at the moment. Thank you for watching x x
If I completed the form for the travel brushes, am I already entered for this giveaway? Thanks
Yes, if you clicked yes on the “do you want to enter the market Giveaway question” x
@@SketchesnScrubs thanks 😊
The marker is amazing ❤❤🎉
Love yours vlog❤❤
Thank you xx
