Beautiful artwork as always! Loving the clown girlies art. I know the dark magician girl is not part of this video, but I saw her, and my inner fangirl was screaming in pure joy, lol. Hmm, I was wondering if the brush tip for acrylic marker is an issue no matter the brand. I have the Karin pigment acrylic markers, which has a brush tip, and after using them for a little too long, I have to aggressively shake them to get them juicy and opaque. It's so sad if that's the actual issue because acrylic markers with brush tips are so much fun to create art with.
thank you so much!! 🥺❤️ I have always loved dark magician girl, I wasn't the biggest fan of how the drawing of her turned out so I want to do a new one eventually!! and oh that's interesting to know about the Karin markers!! :o I loved using the brush nibs with these so I hope they're able to come up with a better solution in the future to keep them long lasting
@@tirameowsu not yet, at least on the drying out thing. I did have one of my kids leave the lid off one overnight and it dried out, but I soaked the tip in water until it was soft again, put the lid back on and checked it a couple of days later and it worked again! I did notice it's hard getting a consistent thin line, though. I wish they had a brush tip on one end and a fine bullet nib on the other. Then they'd be perfect!
@@tarabooartarmy3654I also think a brush tip/bullet nib combo would be really nice to see with these markers! its good to hear you haven't noticed any issues drying out, maybe this one was just a bad batch then? also glad you were able to save the uncapped one!!
Oh, so I can actually answer this! You don't have to shake these markers because they have a sponge-y like material inside to hold the paint rather than something like an ink cartridge (or paint cartidge I guess?). This is nice because it helps prevent the paint from separating (though it definitely still happens just not as quickly). The problem is that this means there's less paint in each marker and the paint doesn't flow to the nib as quickly and results in your nib getting drier quicker. It's a design flaw and one of the reasons I don't use their acrylic markers much any more. That, and that the paint still separates but there's no way to get it to mix again since shaking a sponge is useless. I did email them about this a few months ago and they told me to just buy another set 😅
:o this is so good to know, thank you so much for the info!! I am,, so sad that that was the response they gave you tho 💀 that's a very big bummer to know that these markers probably don't have a long lifespan, especially knowing the paint will permanently separate 😭 I will get as much use out of them as I can while they're working decently!
@@tirameowsu Some of the sets I have are a year old so I can understand why they said that. But I definitely avoid markers that don't require a little shakey shakey now. Some of the markers I have are like 2 different colors on the nib because of the paint separating. I love their SimpTap line though so hopefully they'll release more of those!
@@Xiaobird haha, I mean technically you may just be using them up! They don't have as much paint as markers that require a shakey shakey so it's very possible that your markers are just being used up. I've noticed some of my fave colors are getting dry
@@madisonamd YES I didn't have any issues with those and would love to see a wider color selection from them in the future (also I unnecessarily want them to make the simptap markers have a cuter design LOL)
More super pretty artwork, I love your Miku at the end. ✨ Please show your entire sketchbook soon~ Anyways, I have too many acrylic brush markers and they aren't replaceable. 😢 I'm gonna save for the karine brushmarker since you can buy replacements colors. ❤
sobs thank you so so much! ❤️ I'm only about 1/4 done with this sketchbook but I'll absolutely do a tour once I finish!! and oo that's very nice about the karin brush markers :o
Maybe try hydrating the dry tips with wet kitchen towel since the inks are water based and see if it helps the dryness at all. I'm waiting for my set to arrive today and I am so impatient!
The drawings came out so cute!! I love how bold they look! I was wondering if they dried up fast considering you can't activate them.. how long does each layer take before you add another layer?
thank you so so much!! and aaa sorry about the late reply -- each layer actually dries pretty fast! as long as your not loading up your page with ink, generally you're good to add another layer after about a minute or so :)
ive been using these for a couple months (inconsistantly) but ive definitely experienced the dryness of multiple markers, some are barely usable and ive barely used them.. i tried shaking them and storing them with the brush facing down but nothing works :(
thank you so much for sharing your feedback, its very good to know that others had this experience with them 😭 very unfortunate but I will talk about this more when I do an update!

I was wondering about this, ty for the answer!^^ my markers kept drying and I was wondering if I was using it too much(didn’t think I did)

@@rusapen yeah maybe, it sucks since I just got them last week 😭 I’ll try to make the best of them to not be wasteful
I've run into a similar issue with my Arrtx markers. I feel like I only used them a couple time times before they got really dry and hard to use...😮💨
oh that's,, such a bummer to hear :( these markers would be SO wonderful if they performed better
@tirameowsu That's exactly how I feel! Thats why I prefer the Simptap line!

@@tirameowsu YES! I desperately need more Simptap colors!
Yes I’ve had issue with the markers kinda drying out. I had them laying flat so I put them upside down in a mug and now they are working better.
I've been keeping mine stored with the tips facing down and haven't been able to notice any improvement 😭
@@tirameowsu Aw I’m sorry maybe you just got a bad batch. I’m looking forward to see the new set and see if they work better for you.

I'm a little hesitant to get water on the nibs since I wouldn't want the marker to absorb it and dilute the ink at all 😭
These look amazing ☺☺
