the pepe silvia bit 😭 absolutely had the same breakdown about how marker brands name their colours and how they manufacture their caps..... insane amount of work you're putting in these videos, kudos!!!
THANK YOU for spending so much time talking about markers. I wanted to share personal experience (of me and my friend using Copic Sketch). Copics, for hobbyists, are just way too expensive. We both got them because we love marker art and it really does make you feel good to spend money to invest in your creative journey. My friend does far more marker art than I do, and runs her markers dry a lot. She's had copic markers ordered in that come in dry, and we've both had markers with lids that don't snap on right, thus drying them out. It's disappointing to spend $5 - 7 on a single marker, only for it to dry out because a lid doesn't fit properly or you don't realize it doesn't snap correctly. Neither of us have this problem with Ohuhu markers, and since they're more affordable, we've both decided that it's probably better to stick with them instead. Edit: upon watching the ending, I see you too have run across this problem. Glad to know we're not going insane.
THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THE COPIC SKETCH CAPS. It is genuinely infuriating how big of an issue this is. I have tried literally dozens of different sealants and ways to try to fix the cracked caps but absolutely nothing has worked. They're either reactivated by the alcohol fumes, they refuse to seal to the non-stick surface of the specific plastic they use, or - even if an air-tight seal is formed - the alcohol will seep through over time (similar to air leaving a balloon over a few days). When I finally thought I'd found a way to seal it (wax, since it's used to seal bottles of wine) I found that it prevented the marker from drying out, but it caused weird growths on the nibs of both sides. My next (and probably final) attempt will be seeing if I can fill the inner-cap (by taking off the colour-code) with UV-acrylic and see if that works. In the meantime I have a friend with a 3D printer who has offered to print me more caps - which seemed like an ideal solution - except that he can't find a print file for the caps anywhere. He can find the Classic caps and the Ciao caps, but every database has been wiped of the Sketch caps. It's not even that they're behind a pay wall: they're just not there. At this point I have basically the whole Sketch collection (only missing one) but I've had to replace probably 40 markers over the years due to cracked caps and still have at least a dozen more with cracked caps that it's only a matter of time. I'm extremely careful with my markers. It's not user error: it's absolutely a design flaw that they're trying to push off onto the users (their FAQs, last time I checked, blatantly asked "are you sure you didn't drop them or sit on them?"). I'm sorry to focus on this one thing when you just dedicated so much time and money to such a large video, but the Copic Sketch caps genuinely infuriate me, so thank you so much for calling attention to it. (And to be clear, of my 700ish Ohuhu, NONE of them have had the same problem.)
Thanks for sharing your own experience with this. I was really surprised when I realized just how big of an issue it was, yet it’s not talked about more often. Time to shine a light on it so Copic has to take action!
I absolutely agree. I have only a small collection of sketch markers (9). But three of them dried out. All of these had cracked lids. I luckily caught this issue before my big copic haul. So i only bought the ciao even knowing the downsides (no lid numbers, smaller tank, easy to roll away). the lid numbers i'm fixing by using printed stickers and often used markers i'll buy the refills. Additionally I got almost all the ohuhu and quite a few winsor &newton. Of these I only ever had one slightly dried up marker because the lid wasn't all the way shut, so it's definitely not my mistreatment of the markers.
Hello I purchase empty markers, that way I have 2 spare lids/caps for when one breaks. Saves the expense of replacing marker. Also you have spare nibs too
@@melissagoodman644 Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately where I live buying an empty Copic marker costs the exact same as buying one full of ink, or at best one dollar less, so it doesn't save me any money. Not sure if that's the case elsewhere. In the meantime I've simple saved the "good" cap off of a dead marker so I can at least salvage something. That said, if Copic started selling the caps alone I would absolutely stock up like a squirrel going on winter. (But in order to do that they'd have to admit there's a big enough issue to make it profitable, and I can't see them being willing to do that.)
Omg girl when you brought out that metronome I was worried for your sanity. 🥺 Are you ok? Hugs for your infinite patience and immense respect for your master level testing. You're too good to us!!!!!👑❤
markers have always been notorious for not matching lids. I make swatches on strips of label or sticker paper, and then wrap them around my marker so when color picking from my maker box every marker has an accurate swatch on it! (some do periodically need replacing as markers are almost always dye based and not light fast but i hope this is helpful to anyone who maybe is looking thru the comments for help with this problem!)
I did the same, with my collection of cheap double tip water based markers. When you see the caps you believe there are a lot of shades, but once on paper you realise you have 3times the exact same color. So much less variety than expected. So i swatched them all on paper, and taped each paper to its feltpen.
Epic effort! I recently purchased your color cubes ( yes I’m Aussie) and was wondering if ,considering so many American cardmaking ‘influencers’ are using your cubes, would you consider doing some color matching (like you have for pencils and markers) for some of the ink lines such as Altenew, Gina K, Papertrey Ink, Taylored Expression, Pinkfresh, Hero Arts and Corcord and 9th? Just an idea for another rabbit hole to dive into? Thanks for your work! ❤
i think this would be an excellent idea for Caran d'Ache Luminance. I see you are using that Nix gadget - never seen that before... I think that is the tricky bit, trying to match my pencils to your colour prompts... I bought your PDF sometime ago. 😉
Hi! I just wanted to say congratulations because I absolutely love your videos. I recently discovered your channel, and I have to say, I'm totally hooked! I'm Spanish, and I've never seen a channel like yours that can help so much for those of us stepping into this new world of art. You're amazing, and your professionalism, creativity, and friendliness really shine through. Congratulations!
You crack me up young Lady. On a serious note - THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. Art supplies are seriously expensive. When you're looking for the instruments you want, knowing how it's going to react / perform makes selection BEFORE you spend $$'s sooooooooo much better. Thank, thank you, thank you.
This is sooooo interesting!! So, so much data. I'm so glad you'll be publishing it all so that's it's a reliable database for future researchers! And one of the most fascinating moments here was the discussion with Jazza about the completely different styles and therefore sets of expectations you had for the same markers. What a delight to see people who really know what they're talking about discussing something in this depth and with so much expertise (and also being so fun). Thank you for your service, Sarah and team!!
I bought some Copic marker 10 years ago and they dried up in a couple of weeks. Craft shop refused to replace so I never bought again. Love zig markers
Same! I have exactly one sketch and now I know why it dried out so extremly quickly. (So I have a 100% quote on that. Do I win something?) And that wasn't 10 years ago, rather 2 or 3. It's ridiculous that they just ignore the issue, considering the price of those markers.
@@bombus1340 Copic sells refill inks. if it goes dry, fill it up with the ink of the same color number. they shouldn't dry up super fast though. maybe you bought a marker that had been sitting in the store for a while. some of mine are like 10+ years old and they never went dry. but that doesn't mean i should store them in a place that gets hot very fast.
I am so happy Ohuhu won because I love it! Sarah in everything you do, you go deep, crazy detailed, perfectly filmed and explained. Thank you for doing this!
I'm so happy I got a couple of sets of the ohuhu over the summer. I don't do a lot of coloring, but I got a pastel and a more traditional bold set (too lazy to check which sets lol) and between them and some decent colored pencils, it's been such a joy when I get the urge to make something. I just wish that when they packed them up they came in any sort of color arrangement, the way they are packed scrambled drives me nuts lol
I started to use Decotime Twinmarkers (alcohol markers), they are cheap but damn they are sooo good, brushtip, nice colors, blend really good etc. I would love to see you review those
Acrylic painter here - I used a lightfast clear coat on my marker swatches and I used clear tape to adhere them to the side of my markers. Did it take a wildly long time? YES. Was it worth it? Also yes. Don’t have to carry swatch cards!
I (and so many of us!) truly appreciate all of the planning, testing, and everything else that goes into your videos. Such care is taken, and you're so thorough! It's honestly a pleasure to watch your videos, and your passion/drive to do them and share with us it's extremely touching! Thank you 💖💖💖 P.S. awesome ten hun shirt!
Yayyyyyyy. I bought ohuhu Honolulu when they first came out. I love them. They are the best for what I want. All those markers and so much fun. Thanks for all your hard work. 😊❤
Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens for the win. They are in their own category being as they are India ink. I have started collected the light fast ones for art. The price is the only downside. Faber-Castell was fantastic when I inquired for products that do not contain my extensive allergies. And they do not smell like so many products do. I wish I could afford to get more. Faber-Castell ECCO Pigment Pens are great for line art and writing too. With arthritis I would like wider pens/markers to hold, but they’re still very good.
I cannot thank you enough for all of these amazing comparison videos. They are such a great help! Love all of your videos as I have learned so very much and have overcome so many fears 💜
Pretty sure you can set a metronome to ding on beat 1 to help differentiate between bars instead of a constant beat (tick) this is the first video i have watched in ages and it is sooo good so far! Hopefully ill have time to catch up on more videos soon!
What an INCREDIBLE video! Thank you for being so thorough and detailed. So many other creators would have given maybe **half** your effort. Thank you and your team for putting in the hard work! ❤
Absolutely love this deep dive into markers! It included so many important points others often don’t think about. Love the presentation of the results and am definitely going to look into some of them. Thank you! 💚
Your videos are phenomenal! And I just have to say, this one also felt so nostalgic to certain science/learning shows I used to watch as a kid, which made it even better! 😊
Hi, I'm pretty new to traditional coloring and your channel has been a huge help! And I wanted to tell you about a type of color pencil that I haven't seen a lot of people talk about, that you Might be interested in, and tell you some pros and cons I've noticed about them. The Color'peps Infinity pencils from Maped. Pros: -no need for sharpening -very sturdy, leaves the impression that I could drop them on the floor and they would be fine (I'm not testing that) -double pointed, can also be used horizontally Cons: -despite being All Pigment the colors don't come out easily, probably a side effect from the sturdiness -only has 12 or 24 sets -random neon yellow in the 24 set for some reason im not sure why
Hi SRC, I know this is all about markers but there's something strange going on and I just had to share. I have been trying to purchase the 120 tin of Markart colored pencils and they are nowhere to be found. I'm from the Caribbean and I have no choice but to purchase online so when I go to Amazon or Ebay or Dick Blick, Michael's or even Walmart I get zip. I mean really they are nowhere all you will get are the 72/48 but the 120 zip. 😢
It's not talons it is Taelns with an e. My friend works for talens. It's a special light fast ink, not alcohol or really the same as water. It is pigments. That's why it bleeds and is light fast. It is made for professionals in mind :D later in video it was spelled correctly
It really felt like a treat watching this video so early. I only recently came across your channel and I absolutely LOVE your videos. The amount of effort you and your team put in is amazing! Keep up the phenomenal work!! Much love from the Netherlands ❤❤
Thank-you so much for making this huge effort! I currently have a large number of copic sketch markers as well as tombows. One brand that has 3 different types of markers is Altenew - they have alcohol, water based and paint markers, but not in as great a variety as some brands. I'm devastated to hear that my beloved sketch markers have this design flaw. Darn! Gotta go through my collection!
The amount of time and effort Sarah and her team take to make these videos is amazing. 😳 Their videos are always so put together, aesthetically pleasing for my artist mind and eye, and like a mini movie. Their videos are truly amazing, entertaining, and enlightening. Thanks you guys ❤
Omg!!! I love this! I love that you are as nerdy as me! I love how you compared the lids colors to the marker colors! I love the reaction on the green names, i am the same! This was the most fun and useful video about markers i have seen!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As someone living in East Asia that are able to get various Chinese, Korean and Japanese brands of alcohol markers cheaper than western countries, may not agree to your opinion of Ohuhu being the best in term of quality/money, but can understand why western markers user prefer them as other brands' price are ridiculous high. But it's sad to see fewer alcohol brands being test/reviewed after the popularity of Ohuhu.
I love these comparison videos❤❤!! I can only imagine how much work they are! So thank you for all the hard work, we didn't even see 👍 you're awesome 👏
I’m doing a color chart for the full Ohuhu Honolulu 363 colors and I can totally relate and support the marker conspiracy theory part. 👌🏻 GY6 - Anise | IS IT GREEN OR IS IT YELLOW??!!!!
The issue with light-fastness comes down to the fact that dyes are not lightfast, for making archival marker ink you need to use pigment, which generally do not mix with alcohol, and also the pigment particles need to be so fine, they go through the market like if they are liquid dyes, which is obviously harder to do Brand that use pigments instead of dies usually advertise that, and they mostly fall into the paint and real brush categories, as ink will naturally tend to be thicker Pjt artist are one of them, the fabercastell watercolor markers also, the zig brushables, pigma micron, winser and newton pigment Marker, and so on
Not that you didn't have more marker testing than any human being should be stuck with BUT I'd be curious about how the water test would be affected by using different colors, especially at 23:59 where one brand acted way differently than the rest. Would that still happen if all the colors were the same? Possible color-based effect? Not an important detail, but thorough testing piques my curiosity!
Absolute insane amount of dedication and detail, and although I was completely lost when you were talking about computer code, (I’m not very good with computers) I could appreciate the brains and enormous effort behind it. I’d just like to point out that Watercolour Markers, which is something I have a bit of experience with, while they do very much differ brand to brand, you really need to work with them on just watercolour paper, they are meant really just for light sketching and then to come in with a watercolour brush and disperse the pigment. It’s sort of like carrying around a mini dry palette but in texts form they are not meant at all for layering. You can mix a couple of colours together, but that’s normally done on a palette or piece of plastic where you scribble some colour out. Blending is not really done either between just the markers they are ment to be blended with water. Watercolour Markers work hand in hand with water and a brush they are not meant to be used by themselves alone. Otherwise you would just use a normal marker whether it be alcohol or water based. Water based markers are not really meant for layering either, and really only exist as a safer option for people who are really sensitive and for children. Great for low staining of clothe, skin and also toxic safety. Watercolour Markers are a category all of their own. They’re not meant to work solely on their own. You are meant to use them as a portable pigment stick that you then dissolve with water and something I discovered very early on is that as soon as you have put the pigment down, it does matter how long you wait to activate it with water, because even the best, will become more permanent or or less likely to dissolve and give you a seamless Watercolor look if you let it sit too long on the paper. This will vary brand to brand, but it’s best if you go in as soon as possible.
Love the Pepe Silvia skit! 😂😂😂 I love my Ohuhu Markers. They are really good markers at a good price. ~ I also loved the circle marker drawing. So colorful! 😍
I've noticed a trend, Alcohol markers were all the rage 2 years ago. Now the acrylic markers have taken that spot. Ali, Temu and Shein have doubled down on different brands which claim to be the best. Especialy in the color by number scene, there has been a major shift from waterbased to acrylic markers. Brands like Guangna, Grasp, Tooli-art and Languo are very popular. I would love to see your take on those.
I actually bought the Ohuhu 320 set today before I saw your video! I'd never heard of Olo before. I'll have to check them out. About 7 years ago I bought the Copic Ciao markers. I loved them, but I was sorry I didn't buy the Copic Sketch set, but they were so pricey and I was just starting out. Great video BTW. You have given all your viewers a lot of information. Well done!
1:06 Howdy Sarah!!! Love the 🫧 bubbles ❤ you should use it on one of your upcoming yearly calendar! It is awesome!! I’ve missed you and your gang!!😢 Love y’all ❤❤ from Ohio🇺🇸
First of all, thank you, thank you thank you! I’m not an artist, but I’ve been playing around with doodling and drawing as a type of art therapy. It’s overwhelming when I start looking into what medium to get… Watercolor, different marker types, different pencils, charcoals… And so on. This was such a comprehensive test of markers, and I feel like we should all get a certificate as experts in it now. Lol. Oh, and I thought I was an Excel nerd… But you’re an Excel goddess! I bow down to you! 🤣
@@SarahRenaeClarkI went from subscriber to member due to all you did for us here alone! That’s not even taking the Color Cube into consideration! You rock!
The paper matters most. The surface effects everything! So… it gets more complicated sadly. But hey it’s difficult and fun because I’m always continuing to learn and do paper tests.
Thank you sarah...i have been subed for a long time and ur one of the kindest people i know.....u just have that superpower to make people smile.. I hope u have an amazing life and be happy ❤
Omg I can't believe you did so much work for having winners in Pencils, sharpeners, marker and other. Great job should have take so muchhhh work !!! But this is so useful and I hope you had fun with the visuals and the techniques. Love the fact that you made an Excel and calculate properly every color matches. I would be this kind of girl but clearly can't have the money and the time to do what you ve done ahaha
Wow. What an amazing effort. I haven’t watched till the end. My favorite water based markers since childhood have always been Stabilo ( not in the test as far as I can see ). I have also a a set of ohuhu alcohol markers for about 5 years and like them. Don’t use them very often though. Edit. I am sooo excited for the lightfast test !! I did my own little lightfast test for about 6 month. I had the swatches taped to a window. Surprisingly the markers did hardly fade. But the Australian sun really is the ultimate test for that. Here in Germany half the time the sun is not even shining.
One thing I'd really be interested in seeing, is for the alcohol markers with refills and replaceable tips, is mixing and matching different brands. For example, can you use Copic brush tips in Ohuhu markers? Or if you prefer the paler less vibrant colors of some other brands can you just put that in a different marker brand that is usually more vibrant and have it work the same? Or are there other factors than just the dye affecting how vibrant the color is? (such as how the brush tip soaks up and then applies the color) I think it'd be really neat to see a video testing this with the alcohol marker brands that came out on top. But I also understand if you don't want to touch markers again for a while 😅 Really impressive video overall though, and a great resource for the artist community! I really appreciate that you make these videos, you helped me out when I was looking for a good sharpener for my colored pencils after being really disappointed with the official prismacolor sharpener. Thanks for all your hard work! Also think I want to try out those Faber Castell Pitt markers sometime, they seem interesting...
I love how rigorous your test were! I would recommend the participants for the smell test to smell coffee beans in between the markers because it neutralizes smells!
wow thanks this takes so mutch work. and this is why i am asking every subject could be its own video an make a whole playlist of them cuz i would watch every single one of them. you could also use more foutage and go more in depth witch i would love. thank you for all your hard word this helped me to try a view more markers cus i had given up on them.
Been using the PITT artist pens for YEARS. I love the feel of the small brush tips. They work with the Polychromos pencils exceptionally well. You can layer the 2 for however much you want. BTW, in the Baltic states, the PITT fineliners have options for brown and gray as well.
This is actually very helpful! I've been using Ohuhu alcohol markers for years now and I find them amazing even if sometimes the color accuracy is not great, they're really good quality, easy to use and in the 5 years I've had them I've never had to refill once ! Plus the huge shade range is a bonus
What a fantastic review Sarah! Thank you so much for that in depth information and all the testing you and your team have done. 💐It helped me to understand more about the markers and their features. I really appreciate your efforts! TFS 💜💙💚💛🧡

This is my first time watching a video of yours, but the dedication here is commendable. I can't imagine how long this video took to make or how much money was spent to acquire this many markers. I can only hope that the ones you don't want to keep for yourself can find good homes with other people who will use and love them. Amazing video, can't wait to watch more-- if the next few I look at are like this, I'll have no choice but to subscribe!
Wow! This video turned out so well! So informative and every question I ever had about markers has been answered! Thank you for including the smell test!! It was so funny and I completely lost it at the touch conspiracy part!! 🤣🤣 Thank you to you and your team for such an amazing and thorough video! Definitely going to keep this as resource for later! Paint markers and/or fine liners could be future videos ;)
wow. May I have some more, please? I know you only scratched the surface with all the data you generated (still are generating). I really liked all your analytical testing and was thrilled with some of the higher score receiving outliers! I found this absolutely fascinating. I'm ready for MORE ANALYSIS!! I certainly have been testing out several of your high scoring markers and found my favorites doing well. Of course, I seem to have everything Ohuhu. I'm pleased that things are still going well, as your results show. I got an email today saying that Ohuhu is going to be selling sets in Michael's soon. So that should be very exciting and make them more widely available. Please don't stop generating all these wonderful tests! It's so fun to watch.

When you see the caps you believe there are a lot of shades, but once on paper you realise you have 3times the exact same color. So much less variety than expected. So i swatched them all on paper, and taped each paper to its feltpen.
This is the ultimate marker test
I'm happy that young artists can be well informed before investing
Of course Jazza had to feature. 😂
This is *sooo* thorough! Markers are not my comfort zone, so I find videos like this extremely helpful.
I’m currently looking into ways to expand the companion more easily to include ones like these 😊
Yay! That would be awesome ❤. And probably increase your sales as people like matching inks etc for paper crafts. Ask me how I know! Lol😊
i think this would be an excellent idea for Caran d'Ache Luminance. I see you are using that Nix gadget - never seen that before... I think that is the tricky bit, trying to match my pencils to your colour prompts... I bought your PDF sometime ago. 😉
So scientific!
Hi Lindsy.
Thank you so much!!
I’m always impressed how much work you do with these tests. These are absolutely helpful for people to make decisions!
You are the most underrated channel on RUclips, I for sure thought u would have like at least 1M subs or something but no, u deserve WAY more subs
Not sure why I automatically was instantly drawn to the awesome bubble artwork 😜🤣 that looks way too fun
This is an insane amount of work, you never disappoint. Thank you for your service
It was fun seeing all the different markers here..!
Very informative! The bit about the marker conspiracy was hilarious!
Can you do a version on watercolour pencils? Love this video. It's brilliant
I started to use Decotime Twinmarkers (alcohol markers), they are cheap but damn they are sooo good, brushtip, nice colors, blend really good etc. I would love to see you review those
Noooooooo I don’t think I’ll be buying more alcohol markers for a while. 😂 Sorry I missed them!
Sarah is such a wonderful and amazing person. She's really kind and the patience.
Acrylic painter here - I used a lightfast clear coat on my marker swatches and I used clear tape to adhere them to the side of my markers. Did it take a wildly long time? YES. Was it worth it? Also yes. Don’t have to carry swatch cards!
That’s dedication!
I (and so many of us!) truly appreciate all of the planning, testing, and everything else that goes into your videos. Such care is taken, and you're so thorough! It's honestly a pleasure to watch your videos, and your passion/drive to do them and share with us it's extremely touching! Thank you 💖💖💖
P.S. awesome ten hun shirt!
i love creative and helpful people sm, you’re amazing!!!!
I hope this video gets more views. This video is the most in depth test I’ve come across. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
The Sunny reference at 26 minutes lol I love that! Pepe Silvia DOESNT EXIST 🤣
I love your comparison videos. You go into such detail, and with all the products you can find. The dedication is real! ❤
That was really interesting! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!
Thank you! 💚
hex codes, excel sheets and python? this video made me a happy designer nerd
I knew someone would appreciate it, even if it was a bunch of confusing jargon to most!
Mad props to your thoroughness and respect for accuracy! I was drooling over that program and macro enabled Excel sheet.
Your videos are phenomenal! And I just have to say, this one also felt so nostalgic to certain science/learning shows I used to watch as a kid, which made it even better! 😊
Sarah, I love your spirit and determination. From the metronome to the spreadsheet, I just adore your way of approaching things! ❤❤❤
This show was amazing. Thank you. Can't wait to see the video on the other marker types. Again, thanks.
Pros:
-no need for sharpening
-very sturdy, leaves the impression that I could drop them on the floor and they would be fine (I'm not testing that)
-double pointed, can also be used horizontally
Cons:
-despite being All Pigment the colors don't come out easily, probably a side effect from the sturdiness
-only has 12 or 24 sets
-random neon yellow in the 24 set for some reason im not sure why
Never have I been so tempted to get a membership page than to watch this touch video. I won’t, but I wish I could
Thank you very much Sarah and team. Amazing video !!!
Excellent video. By the way I have several copic sketch which dried too cause of splitting or a crack in the cap....
GY6 - Anise | IS IT GREEN OR IS IT YELLOW??!!!!
I really appreciate the time that has gone into this! this is awesome!
Great Video! Thank you for putting so much time and effort into this test! It was very enjoyable and entertaining to watch!
The issue with light-fastness comes down to the fact that dyes are not lightfast, for making archival marker ink you need to use pigment, which generally do not mix with alcohol, and also the pigment particles need to be so fine, they go through the market like if they are liquid dyes, which is obviously harder to do
Brand that use pigments instead of dies usually advertise that, and they mostly fall into the paint and real brush categories, as ink will naturally tend to be thicker
Pjt artist are one of them, the fabercastell watercolor markers also, the zig brushables, pigma micron, winser and newton pigment Marker, and so on
Not that you didn't have more marker testing than any human being should be stuck with BUT I'd be curious about how the water test would be affected by using different colors, especially at 23:59 where one brand acted way differently than the rest. Would that still happen if all the colors were the same? Possible color-based effect?
Not an important detail, but thorough testing piques my curiosity!
There were a few tests like this that I would have loved to break down further too!
Such useful info, thank you!
Lovely to hear from you again Jill ❤️
OMG yay i’ve been waiting for this!!!!
I love me a good excel spreadsheet!
@@SarahRenaeClarkI went from subscriber to member due to all you did for us here alone! That’s not even taking the Color Cube into consideration! You rock!
@@becorations1 thank you! I’m excited you’re joining us!!
The paper matters most. The surface effects everything! So… it gets more complicated sadly. But hey it’s difficult and fun because I’m always continuing to learn and do paper tests.
Oh my goodness. I saw that you were wearing a BLUEY shirt. I love BLUEY💙💙💙💙
The Best Art Supply Tester 😊
Ohuhu haven’t really impressed me with their yellows yet, I need brighter lemons and sun yellows but the ones I’ve got are more dull and brown yellows
Holy cow! You put in a lot of work for this video! Awesome job!
Thank you sarah...i have been subed for a long time and ur one of the kindest people i know.....u just have that superpower to make people smile..
I hope u have an amazing life and be happy ❤
yooo this is so well made
Omg my geek mode is soooooo happy with your deep-dive spreadsheets! Love it!
But I also understand if you don't want to touch markers again for a while 😅
Really impressive video overall though, and a great resource for the artist community!
Oooh interesting idea!
@@SarahRenaeClark Or what would be a true colour fast pencil selection across brands.
I would use Faber-Castell PITT pens a lot more if they made them chunkier with bigger brush sizes for the whole range
What a massive job. Thank you so much! 🫶🇦🇺❤️
I love how rigorous your test were!
I would recommend the participants for the smell test to smell coffee beans in between the markers because it neutralizes smells!
Oooh good idea. And they probably would have enjoyed it 😂
@@SarahRenaeClarkthank you for response! I love your videos! Keep up the good work 🎉❤
U helpd me make so cute marker drawings and doodle drawings :)🥳💕
wow thanks this takes so mutch work. and this is why i am asking every subject could be its own video an make a whole playlist of them cuz i would watch every single one of them. you could also use more foutage and go more in depth witch i would love. thank you for all your hard word this helped me to try a view more markers cus i had given up on them.
Redicouls....you could have cut this to several episodes almost each being one. Huuuuuge! Thanks for packing it and doing it for us!
Been using the PITT artist pens for YEARS. I love the feel of the small brush tips. They work with the Polychromos pencils exceptionally well. You can layer the 2 for however much you want. BTW, in the Baltic states, the PITT fineliners have options for brown and gray as well.
Omg I can’t believe all this video 😂 thanks for making fun such a nerdy investigation 😂 btw. Love my Pitt pens. Now I want the full set 🫣🤪
TFS 💜💙💚💛🧡
I’m so glad it helped!
Wowza!! Well, if art ever becomes boring to you, I can confidently say you have a long career as a Quality Control Engineer ahead of you! 😊 Love these type of videos, by the way. Thanks for all the hard work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Funny how Prices wary for different countries. Like the Faber-Castell and Tom Bow are the same Price-ish here in Germany.
The blog is where I end up putting all the results in far more detail. It takes a while, but I’d absolutely not want all this research to go to waste!
