      @@foracitywithoutgreen I went to their official website to ask why it got discontinued and to my surprise there were so many clients asking the same. In some of their answers they say to consider their red palm oil line. The shampoo and leave in works great on my low porosity 4c type but I am still experimenting different ways to apply their curl stretch pudding as I think it is sitting on top of my hair creating product build up 🤨 What is now working for me the best is bentonite clay mask (I use it instead of shampoo), I then deep condition with SheaMoisture Manuka Honey Masque with Mafura Oil - Deep Conditioner and then I seal moisture with water, then almond or olive oil and after I apply shea butter (pure, no mixed) . Hope this helps sis ❤️

  • @fabiennevdk7045

    Just one thing to clarify :P ( low-po pun intended) Oils aren't humectants but emollients. They won't attract moisture like humectants do, but they will help retain moisture by covering the hair with a hydrophobic layer (mostly the oils that tend to coat instead of absorb into the hair, penetrating oils will absorb into the hair and are good at protecting against hygral fatigue - which oils coat/penetrate or do both depends on the fatty acid profile)

    If it talks about "strength", "breakage", "restore" or "replenish" there's probably protein in it. So check your ingredients. We do need some protein but have to balance it with moisture. My low porosity hair hates most SheaMoisture products even the low porosity line, but loves the Manuka Honey conditioners. I also can't use most of the Creme of Nature products you mentioned. Though, I'm trying the honey line soon.

    Hello helpful information!!! Couple questions, Am I suppose to get my hair wet everyday in the shower cover my hair every night with a Durag? Wash once a week?

    • @RaZhanBreonna
      @RaZhanBreonna 11 месяцев назад +1

      No , you don’t want to wet your hair everyday or go to sleep with wet hair. And yes I would recommend covering your hair every night with something of satin materials only.

    First time watching you and you gained a subscriber, I love the way you are!!!😆 but what would you say could thicken or help thicken low porosity hair, I feel like it’s way easier for a person with high or medium porosity to thicken their hair but it’s just been so hard for me! Any recommendations???

    • @onlytameriatv9726
      @onlytameriatv9726  4 года назад

      Alexandra definitely do rice water rinses every two weeks and let it sit in your hair for 30 minutes!! Make sure you let it get on your scalp so your roots can thicken babes 🤞🏽🤞🏽

    My hair is extreeemely protein sensitive. No honey, no avacado, eggs, rice, soy, etc. Plus it's always dry what a struggle 😩 I've used half of the products you have and they left my hair dry and tangled 😭 I just don't understand my hair. I am going to try the tgin mask.

    • @patb2582
      @patb2582 4 года назад +5

      If your hair is that low porosity the tgin mask won't help either because it either has protein or aloe Vera...don't remember which. My natural hair was like that. Here are some products that will be good for you : kinky curly knot today, s curl no drip leave in and wave niveau finishing lotion. these have no protein and no aloe Vera. You can also try to balance your porosity by lifting the cuticle slightly with a permanent black dye. Do not use a light colour as this will bleach and weaken your hair. Goodluck!

      Have you looked at using marshmallow root, oats or irish moss? I am low porosity. My hair adores avocadoes and honey. But like you no rice water, wheat protein, yogurt, henna, aloe vera,African black soap, coconut oil etc etc. Camille rose milk is life! Also pantene gold moisture milk is very good leave in.
      I am experimenting with irish moss at the moment and it's not bad. When I take out my plaits, the root is still moist.

    I heard for low PO hair, heavy butters like Shea and mango and heavy creams weigh down hair. I have been using Shea moisture Jbco and it's great but it weighs down my hair. I'm kinda confused about that.

I use Mayo, honey and egg for that. I don’t want to have protein overload. Also i use this aryuvedic hair oil called Kesh King, is aryuvedic oils ie Amla and the rest good for low porosity hair? I just applied it on my hair a week ago I wanna be sure if it’s fit for my low porosity hair. Pls reply back

    Chile no bc high porosity is ALWAYS dry due to it not being able to retain moisture. Low porosity has an issue with oily and weighed down hair (product buildup) but doesn’t get dry often due to the closed follicle not allowing moisture to escape. If ur hair is dry often you are losing moisture fast. Meaning ur high porosity. You can still get product buildup with high porosity if you have sealed your hair and then applied product on top. A good rule of thumb is this, if you need to SEAL your hair you don’t have low porosity hair bc that follicle is is already sealing it

    Can I use a clarifying shampoo and a hydrating shampoo during the same wash? Or is it better to use the clarifying shampoo then a hydrating conditioner and mask? Based on this video my hair needs a clarifying shampoo during my next wash, but it is sheading and breaking, so I don't want to strip it? Thoughts?
